It's first versus second in Group I when Croatia host Iceland at the Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb. Both teams have started off in identical form from their first three matches (DWW) though Croatia top the table on goal difference after overcoming Kosovo 6-0. Croatia have recorded back-to-back wins and clean sheets in their last two matches against Kosovo and Finland, both of which were on the road. Croatia are unbeaten in their last four meetings with Iceland (WWDW) and have achieved an aggregate score of 9-1. Iceland have built on their impressive Euro 2016 campaign and currently sit in second place behind Croatia on goal difference. After asserting themselves on home turf, it'll be interesting to see whether they can continue their unbeaten qualification run on away soil.

Match Prediction:

Croatia are the favourites going into this one although Iceland undoubtedly present more of a threat than their previous two opponents (Kosovo & Finland). Both teams have scored in all of their Qualification matches so far and we think that's a likely outcome again here. Mario Mandzukic has been in form for Croatia, scoring four goals in their first three matches. The Juventus striker also found the net during Croatia's 2-0 victory last time these two sides met in the 2013 World Cup Qualifiers.
