Angers vs. Nantes: Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips.

This betting preview contains recent form, possible lineups, injury news, match predictions and betting tips for Angers vs. Nantes.

Fixture: Angers vs. Nantes League: Ligue 1 Venue: Stade Jean-Bouin Date: Friday 16th December Kick-off: 14:45 GMT

Betting Preview:

In the midst of a poor run of form, the hosts Angers have a great chance to reinstill some confidence in their side when Ligue 1 strugglers Nantes come to town this Friday. Both sides have been unable to secure a victory in several matches, but Angers is a slightly more capable side and will likely be able to capitalise on Nantes' four game goal drought. The away side would wish that it was just a run of bad luck, but with very few goalscoring threats in the side and even less consistent scorers in the team, their  poor attacking form doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon. Nantes has little more than hope to cling to as they've only managed to win twice while on the road this season and their opponents have only lost twice on home soil, including a 1-0 defeat to league leaders Nice.

Match Prediction:

While neither team has been particularly good lately, Angers has to be seen as the favourites for this match. The hosts have just enough fire power to breakdown Nantes defence and are sturdy enough at the back to extend the visitors' goal drought at least another game. Nantes only have two players who have scored more than one goal this season, so if the hosts can successfully key in on those players then Angers should be able to grind out a win over their opponents.

Possible Lineups:

Angers: Petric; Martinez, Thomas, Traore, Andreu; Mangani, Santamaria, Ndoye; Ekambi, Diedhiou, Pepe Nantes: Riou; Lima, Carlos, Dubois, Kwateng; Gillet, Djidji, Thomasson, Bammou, Lloki; Sala

Angers: Alexandre Letellier (out), Billy Ketkeophomphone (out) Nantes: Valentin Rongier (out), Oswaldo Vizcarrondo (out)
