Alaves vs Real Betis: Preview, Prediction & Betting Tips.

This betting preview contains recent form, possible lineups, injury news, match predictions and betting tips for Alaves vs Real Betis.

Fixture: Alaves vs Real Betis League: La Liga Venue: Estadio de Mendizorroza Date: Friday, 16th December Kick-off: 7:45pm GMT

Betting Preview:

Deportivo Alaves and Real Betis will go head-to-head at the Estadio Mendizorroza on Friday evening as the we head towards the La Liga winter break after these round of fixtures. Both sides will fancy their chances as they sit 13 and 14th respectively lying 6 points away from the drop zone. Alaves have exceeded expectations so far this season being among the new boys on the block in the current campaign. They have already sprung up shocks in the league season, holding Atletico Madrid to a draw and beating Barcelona earlier on in the season. With a 0-0 draw against in form side and fellow newcomers Eibar. Coach Mauricio Pellegrino would want to use Friday's game as a home advantage and climb further up the La Liga table in their so far impressive La Liga campaign. Betis, on the other hand, off the back of an impressive 1-0 victory over Atletico Bilbao would want to carry on their good form. Friday night's game could prove an interesting spectacle with players such as Ruben Castro who scored the winner against Bilbao - as he has done on numerous occasions this season - become the match winner again for Victor Sanchez's side.

Match Prediction:

The so called ‘Smaller Sides' would love to make their home games a fortress and that is what Pellegrino would want his side to achieve this Friday evening. However, they haven't tasted a home win since September in the 3-1 win over Granada with two draws and two losses since then. Victor Sanchez would be licking his lips at the prospect of an away win, and with the in-form Ruben Castro to call on, you wouldn't bet against Betis come away with a vital 3 points. But football is a funny game and you can't rule out the factor of home support as Mauricio Pellegrino would love to right the wrongs of their recent form in their home. They did beat Barcelona earlier on in the season so we would be wrong to rule them out. A score draw would represent a fair result considering their standings in the La Liga table.
