Welcome to the first Fantasy Serie A article,
Tom Daniels picks out his top 5 picks for a thrilling Gameweek 23.
Gameweek 22 provided little in terms of shocks with Napoli and Juventus yet again recording victories to separate them from the rest of the Serie A. Fiorentina failed to take all three points against Genoa and Verona still are looking for their first win of the season following a draw with Torino. Meanwhile Roma returned to winning ways thanks to a debut goal from El Shaarawy in their 3-1 victory over Frosinone. Finally Milan turned red once again as AC Milan overturned their bitter rivals Inter Milan. Goals from Alex, Bacca and Niang helped AC Milan cruise to a 3-0 victory.
Here are our five tips for Gameweek 23 of Serie A - our prices come from our partners over at

Tip 1 Inter Milan to bounce back with a victory.
Inter Milan, just coming off a dreadful Milan derby defeat, will want a victory against Chievo more than ever before. Inter Milan have suddenly gone from a team challenging for the Serie A title to now struggling to even get a European place. With no victory in their last four games Inter Milan have a golden opportunity to regain their form against an average Cheivo team. We recommend
Eder (£9.7m) as a forward option in this crucial match for Inter Milan. The Brazilian born striker has recently dropped in form with only 2 goals in 5 games for the Milan club. However with 12 goals in the Serie A the striker shows that he can hit the back of the net. Another option would be
Mauro Icardi (£9.00m) who is set to return to the starting 11 after being benched in the Milan derby. The playmaker has 8 goals and 1 assist to his name and against a weakened Chievo team, following the departure of Alberto Paloschi, he could be a good bet to score a goal or two.
Tip 2 Destro to star against Frosinone
Mattia Destro (£7.9m) has recently hit a run of form scoring 2 goals in his last three games. The former Roma forward was also the star man in Bologna's stunning 3-2 victory over Sampdoria last Gameweek. Destro currently stands with 7 goals and 3 assists this season but against a very poor Frosinone side he is highly likely to yet again score or assist. Frosinone have now gone 8 games without a victory and where easily beaten against Roma 3-1. Bologna on the other hand have started 2016 very positively with 3 wins, 1 draw against Lazio and a loss. So with Destro finding his shooting boots once again it's hard to see him not scoring against a Frosinone side 19th in the league.
Tip 3 Fiorentina to get a much needed win.
Fiorentina have in recent weeks looked shaky and following a 0-0 draw against Genoa their chances of a Serie A title are slowly slipping away. However their opponents sit 18
th in the Serie A, 4 points off 17
th Sampdoria. Fiorentina have the quality to beat Capri and the slim chance of a title will push them on to beat the relegation side. There are players all over the pitch that you could pick to put into your squad.
Ciprian Tatarusanu (£7.4m) could be in for an easy game considering Capri have only scored 21 goals (the 3
rd lowest in the league). It may also be wise to invest in
Gonzalo Rodriguez (£9.9m). The Argentine defender has kept 10 clean sheets for Fiorentina this season and with 3 goals to his name already he can score the occasional goal. It also may be wise to include Fiorentina's new signings
Mauro Zarate (£5.3m) and
Cristian Tello (£7.6m) who could possible start against Capri. It's a big gamble but it could be worth it if they score or assist.
Tip 4 Juventus to make it 13 wins in a row.
Juventus have started to regain their spot as the best team in Italy and against 16
th placed Genoa it would take a massive upset for Juventus to not make it 13 wins in a row.
Alvero Morata (£6.3m) ended his goal drought in excellent fashion with 2 goals in the Copa Italia semi-final and 2 goals against Chievo 4 days later. With the absence of
Mario Mandzukic (£7.5m) Morata looks like he will start and if so he will likely pick up where he left off against Chievo. For some added fire power in the midfield we recommend
Paul Pogba (£12.2m) as the Italian has been a key man recently for Juventus in their unbelievable winning streak. Pogba has 5 goals and 5 assists this season showing he can both score and provide. He also comes off the back of a brilliant game against Chievo, where he managed to get 28.90 points. However for a cheaper option it could be wise to go for
Sami Khedira (£9.00m) who has started to show some good performances since his move from Real Madrid.
Tip 5 AC Milan to snatch a result against Palermo.
AC Milan have a major wave of momentum on their side following the Milan derby victory and this should help them overcome Palermo. Palermo currently sit 14
th in Serie A and have been rocky since the start of the season. Their inability to stop goals from going in has contributed to a -11 goal difference. So
Carlos Bacca (£10.2m) is an obvious recommendation has he continued his goal scoring form with a goal against Inter Milan taking his tally to 11 of the season. However it may be worth taking a risk on
M'Baye Niang (£7.00m) as the forward got a goal and an assist in his last game. Niang has only 3 goals and 4 assists this season which is less than impressive. But with a starring role in Milan's biggest victory this season, it could kick start the 21 year olds form in the Serie A.
