Tip 1 Finally a win for Gary Neville.
Gary Neville is yet to win a league game as Valencia manager and the fans are calling for his head, they currently sit four points above relegation and cannot win a game for love nor money. This weekend they face Espanyol who sit in 17
th place and one point above relegation, they have only won one of their previous 10 games and have scored six goals and scored 22 in that span. Constantin Galca's side had one of the worst away form in the league only winning two of their 12 away games losing the other 10. This seems the perfect time for Neville to get a much needed first win in charge of Valencia. Despite missing numerous chances in recent weeks
Alvaro Negredo (MO;5.1m, FB;9.0m) should retain his place upfront with Real Madrid loanee
Denis Cheryshev(MO;5.6m, FB;7.5m) likely to flank him from the left.
Tip 2 Real Sociedad to build upon their good form.
La Real have won their last two games against Real Betis and Espanyol respectively, winning the former 5-0. We finally saw the brilliance of
Carlos Vela (MO;7.5m, FB;9.0m), the Mexican grabbed himself a goal and assist in the away win, whilst
Ruben Pardo (MO;7.0m, FB;7.0m) helped himself to a hat trick of assist. The performances of both players will likely mean they keep their spot in the starting 11 against a Granada side who are struggling to keep the goals out of their net, conceding 14 goals in their previous five games.
Tip 3 A routine win for Sevilla
The downfall for Unai Emery's side this season has been their away form, their strength is certainly their form at home. They have won 10 of their 12 home games losing the other two, scoring 26 goals and conceding 12. Their opponents this weekend are non other than Las Palmas who have the worst away form in La Liga and are yet to win a game away from home. This all makes for good reading if you're a Sevilla fan and you can see why we think they will win this weekend, wingers
Yevhen Konoplyanka (MO;6.9m, FB;9.0m) and
Vitolo (MO;6.9m, FB;7.5m) will add pace and width to the Sevilla attack, whilst the ever brilliant
Ever Banega (MO;8.9m, FB;6.0m) will occupy the role behind the striker. Defenders
Benoit Tremoulinas (MO;8.5m, FB;5.5m) and
Mariano (MO;8.3m, FB;5.0m) offer good clean sheet potential as well as keeper
Sergio Rico (MO;8.2m, FB;5.5m).
Tip 4 Real Betis to sneak a win against Deportivo.
Both Deportivo and Real Betis have been struggling of late, with a combined one win between the two teams in their last five games. This weekend they face each other at Estadio Riazor, but we're expecting the game to be a low scoring affair. Real Betis goalkeeper
Antonio Adan (MO;6.4m, FB;5.0m) has been in superb form of late, whilst
Martin Montoya (MO;9.6m, FB;N/A) adds quality to their defence. Last weeks win over Valencia also saw
Charly Musonda (MO;6.6m, FB;N/A) make his debut, his composure and creativity could reinvigorate Real Betis. Despite their poor away form of late, it's Betis we think will win this game, but it certainly won't be a thriller.
Tip 5 A clean sheet for Eibar.
We've spoken extensively in these La Liga Tips about Eibar's defence potential at home, the Ipurua stadium is a horrible place to play at times, it hold 6,300 fans and the pitch isn't kept very well making it a nightmare for visiting teams. This weekend the guests to the Basque club are bottom placed Levante, a side who have only scored nine goals on their travels this season. Eibar do have a number of defensive problems, David Junca will miss the tie due to suspension, whilst Antonio Luna is out with an injury and Ivan Ramis is still struggling for fitness. This should lead to
Lilo (MO;4.7m, FB;N/A) being deployed at left-back,
Mauro Dos Santos (MO;6.3m, FB;4.5m) at the heart of the defence and
Ander Capa (MO;4.6m, FB;5.5m) at right back, with goalkeeper
Asier Riesgo (MO;4.5m, FB;4.5m) should be solid between the sticks this weekend as well.
