This Saturdays Top Premier League Punts...

PUKKI THE CANARY - CHIRPS AGAIN

In last week's article we tipped Teemu Pukki to score against Chelsea and therefore we are going to give ourselves a big pat on the back, now admittedly it was not the boldest of tips but sometimes you just have to go where the money is.

While when someone is in such a rich goalscoring vein of form, you can't ignore the possibility of it continuing and therefore we are going to plump for the Flying Finn to score in his fourth successive Premier League match.

This weekend Norwich travel to the capital to face West Ham and although the Hammers will be the slight favourites to win this encounter, there's no reason why Pukki cannot get on the scoresheet either.

Therefore, if you fancy the man who has scored 83% of Norwich's Premier League goals this season, then you can back him to score at anytime at odds of 2.05 or if you are feeling bold, you can back the 29-year-old to open the scoring at 4.50

THE VALUE OF STERLING HAS INCREASED

While of course it would be unfair to single out just Teemu Pukki as a man who is on a red-hot goal streak right now, as the Finnish forward currently shares the mantle of Premier League top scorer with Manchester City's Raheem Sterling.

The former Liverpool man also took his tally to five for the season, when he slotted home against Bournemouth in the blistering Bank Holiday sun and with City entertaining Brighton this weekend, the England international will be well placed to add to his already impressive tally.

If you think that Raheem Sterling will open the scoring then you can back him at 3.75 but if you think the goal will come at any point during the ninety then it is odds of 1.67. Now you'll just have to hope that Pep doesn't decide to rotate his embarrassment of riches at the Etihad on Saturday.

GUNNERS FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS

It's week four of the season and once again two teams from the ‘Big Six' have been paired together, something which is doing nothing to stop my ‘fixture computer' conspiracy theory but anyway enough about that, lets focus on the weekend tips.

In the past five meetings between Arsenal and Tottenham at the Emirates, the hosts are unbeaten and on the basis of Mauricio Pochettino's tactical nous that was displayed last Sunday, the Gunners will be more than confident of extending that run to six.

While although Arsenal are unbeaten in the last five, it should also be noted that the three encounters between 2014/15 and 2016/17 ended in draws, so there will at least be a small crumb of comfort for Spurs.

However, they were easily dealt with last season, as Unai Emery masterminded a 4-2 win and with Tottenham yet to keep a clean sheet in this campaign, it looks like the red half of North London will fancy a hatful of goals against their arch-rivals.

If you fancy Arsenal to return to winning ways and for both teams to score, then you can back this outcome at odds of 3.70, while if you think the hosts will come out on top and keep a clean sheet, then you can get odds of 4.55.

While if you are looking at the total goals market, the slightly more conservative over 2.5 will offer up odds of 1.60 and an extra bulge of a goal net will see those odds increase to 2.50 for over 3.5 total goals.

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE QUARTET

Now it is time for another big pat on the back, as once again we at FPL towers came good on our four BTTS picks last weekend and that also means, we are eight from eight in terms of selections. The question is can this hot streak continue, here are four picks for your consideration.

  • Arsenal vs Tottenham 54.17% chance you can back BTTS at 1.52
  • Everton vs Wolves 51.46% chance you can back BTTS at 1.95
  • Leicester vs Bournemouth 50.45% chance you can back BTTS at 1.64
  • Southampton vs Manchester United 51.04% chance you can back BTTS at 1.76
