Fantasy MLS Tips Mondogoal Daily Fantasy Football Advice Round 22 July 18, 2015 For the purposes of this article, all prices and points are via our partners Mondogoal. We are back with another round of exciting action this week with Mondogoal!  This week, Mondogoal is providing players with Saturday exclusive games and games that combine matches from Saturday and Sunday.  So if you've got a bit of patience, maybe the long play will pay dividends for you.  But if not, we've got you covered for Saturday's action just the same. Here are the matches we have on tap for this weekend: Saturday July 18 Toronto vs. Philadelphia New England vs. NYCFC Orlando vs. NYRB SKC vs. Montreal Dallas vs. DC RSL vs. Houston Seattle vs. Colorado Portland vs. Vancouver Sunday July 19 Columbus vs. Chicago Now, here's what you need to know to field a competitive squad:

#1)  GOALKEEPER AND DEFENDER TIPS

In our opinion, the best chance for a clean sheet comes from Seattle this week.  Their opposition, Colorado, are woeful on the road.  In their last five road fixtures, Colorado have been shut out four times -- and the single fixture in which they did manage to score was a 1-1 draw.  In all seriousness, there really isn't a more inept team on the road than Colorado.  The problem now for fantasy players is which goalkeeper to choose from.  By many reports, Stefan Frei ($9.6, GK) is nearing the end of his injury rehab and should get the start.  However, this is not a certainty as of the publishing of this article, so continue to check to see if Troy Perkins ($6.7, GK) gets another start between the pipes. Pairing a defender with the Seattle goalkeeper is a simple choice.  Take Tyrone Mears ($8.8, D) as your first choice.  Mears already has a goal and two assists on the year and is averaging 6.73 points per game.  But the defender is also clearly the most active for Seattle; he leads all Seattle defenders with 823 passes completed on the year (that's over 300 more passes completed than the next defender). Maybe you're looking for a bit more of a sure bet for a starter in goal though.  In that case, try Tim Melia ($6.6, GK) from SKC.  Even though Montreal are coming into town and have been in scoring form, Melia and the SKC defense have a streak of three straight clean sheets at home going into this match.  Pound for pound, there may not be a better defense right now than in SKC -- but they'll have a tough ask trying to shutout a stronger Montreal side. It's our opinion that based on the fixture, Seattle have the better chance at the clean sheet.  But based on form, SKC would get our vote.

#2)  MIDFIELDER TIPS

The midfielder with the highest potential this week is Benny Feilhaber ($11.9).  Feilhaber drew a bit of a blank last week with his 5.3 points, but look for a big bounce-back against a Montreal side that isn't nearly as compact out of the back in a road fixture.  Montreal have conceded eight goals in their last three away games, and SKC's potent attack looks to keep that trend of conceding goals going.  If anybody is going to be up to the task of taking on a porous Montreal side, it will be Feilhaber.  Feilhaber's average points over the last five matches is a healthy 9.86 -- look for him to try to push that average to double digits again by the time this game is done. The next pick that you should absolutely have on your team is Kaka ($11.6).  With all of the new names coming into the league, it's easy to forget that Kaka has already lived up to the potential of being a true superstar in the American ranks.  When looking at Kaka's recent stats, it may look like he's feast or famine as far as his points go -- but the difference is really just as simple as home and away fixtures.  In his last two away fixtures, Kaka has an average of 4 points per game.  But in his last two home fixtures, Kaka has an astounding average of 18.11 points.  PRO TIP:  Kaka is at home this week.  You should probably pick him up and worry about his cost later.

#3)  FORWARD TIPS

Let's start with the obvious in Giovinco ($15.4).  Now it's going to be tempting to leave Giovinco off of your squad due to his astronomic price rise after his hat trick last week -- but can you really afford not to pick him up when he's playing at home against Philadelphia?  The Philadelphia Union have conceded 14 goals in their last five away matches with only one clean sheet.  If there ever was a perfect storm of a poor road defense being slotted against a great striker in form, this is it.  Giovinco has embedded himself into every facet of the Toronto attack, and we don't think that Philadelphia will have an answer for him. To follow that up, we expect David Villa ($11.2) to continue his form against a woeful New England defense this week as well.  True, it's an away fixture for NYCFC, but the distance between New York and Boston isn't anything to get too excited over.  Besides, New England are allowing an average of 2.6 goals per game over their last five matches, and they shouldn't be the favorites to pull one over on a very in-form Villa right now.  If you needed any further convincing, Villa has scored 22 points or more in four of his last five matches.  That's an astounding feat, and he really can't be ignored going into this week.

#4)  BUDGET PLAYERS

Budget players are going to be crucial this week.  Maybe you find yourself only able to afford two or three of our picks listed above?  If that's the case, a true budget player is exactly what you're going to need to round your team out. If you're looking for a surprise forward to fill out your ranks, try David Accam ($8.8, F).  Accam was brought in as a substitute in Chicago's last match as he works his way back to fitness.  But Chicago need their attacker back now more than ever.  Throwing out his last appearance as a sub, Accam had an average of 12.4 points per match in the five matches prior.  Accam draws fouls with ease and is the lone bright spot on the Chicago squad.  Look for Accam to play more minutes this weekend to try to take advantage of a poor Columbus defense. Cyle Larin ($7.7, F) is now back from international duty with Canada and should look to regain his place in Orlando's attack.  Prior to leaving, Larin had goals in two of his last three matches.  The interplay between Larin and Kaka was really starting to take shape prior to his call-up, so look for these two players to pick up where they left off. Patrick Mullins ($6.3, M) has started the last two games for NYCFC in the absence of Lampard and Pirlo.  And with Lampard being taken out of the lineup again this week due to injury, Mullins should get one more crack as a starter.  And it's not like he's not earned it; his last two scores are 12.7 and 6.5 points -- and Mullins even managed to get himself a goal in the last match.  But even without the goal, his lower total shows that he is an active participant in the game that warrants attention at his price point.
