Gameweek 12 Premier League Tips Daily Fantasy Football Tips

Share post on:

Another weekend of daily fantasy football is just around the corner and our very own @jamieFPL has returned with his expert advice for the fantasy Premier League Gameweek 12 fixtures taking place from 3pm November 7th.

Our daily fantasy football tips focus on the games provided by Mondogoal and FantasyBet. However, they are still relevant to other daily games and also to the season long Fantasy Premier League game. As always, we advise all readers to check the official team line-ups one hour before kick off to ensure all your players (and our tips) are playing. Although we do our best to only select those who we think will start, it's tough to be 100% accurate. For the purpose of this article all prices are via our daily fantasy football partners Mondogoal (MO) and FantasyBet (FB).

Goalkeeper Tips

We think that Louis Van Gaal owes his defence a bonus after the way they've performed over the last month. The Red Devils have been abysmal in attack of late but luckily their defence has remained solid to salvage them points. David de Gea (MO £10.0m FB £5.5m) has put in a string of top class performances and has remained goalless in his last three matches in all competitions. Daily Fantasy Football is about taking risks, and although goalkeeper tip number two should theoretically be the likes of Boaz Myhill or Maarten Stekelenburg, we're opting for Jack Butland (MO 9.9m FB £4.6m). The Potters host Chelsea in Saturday's late kick-off and although Jose picked up an overdue win to Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday night, can he go and do it on a cold, rainy night in Stoke? Butland has recorded three clean sheets in his last five matches and looks a good differential keeper for Saturday.

Defender Tips

Marcos Rojo (MO £8.2m FB £5.5m) has impressed since finding his way into the starting lineup following Luke Shaw's injury. The Argentine has recorded four back-to-back clean sheets in all competitions and is looking to nail down the left-back position in Shaw's absence. Rojo has stated how he's looking to improve on getting forward and crossing, and that's been evident in his recent performances. With an assist against Everton last month, he could surprise you with more than clean sheet points this weekend as United host West Brom. Only Van Gaal's men (7) have recorded more clean sheets than the Baggies so far in 2015 (6), so we expect this fixture to follow in familiar fashion to United's last two. Gareth McAuley (MO £8.1m FB £5.0m) has been the heart of the West Brom defence this season and along with Dawson, they've created a classic Tony Pulis brick wall back line. Manchester United have created the fewest chances of any team in the league this season (81) which comes as worrying news to the reds as it usually takes a lot of attempts to break down the Baggies defence. Southampton have been clean sheet experts over the last few years, recording 15 in both the 13/14 and 14/15 seasons. Since then a lot of their key defensive figures such as Clyne, Alderweireld and Schneiderlin have been poached by other Premier League clubs, but the Saints still look resolute at the back. New boy Virgil van Dijk (MO £6.9m FB £5.5m) has fast adjusted to life in the Premier League and has already displayed his attacking threat. With two goals in his last five league games, van Dijk is our favourite to pick up points at both ends of the park this weekend.

Goal Scoring Potential

  1. Manchester United
  2. Leicester
  3. Southampton
  4. West Ham
  5. Chelsea

Midfielder Tips

Riyad Mahrez (MO £5.5m) returned to his goal scoring ways last weekend smashing two past West Brom in Leicester's 3-2 victory at The Hawthorns. The Algerian midfielder was this year's first bandwagon player, but has shown his consistency throughout this Premier League campaign with seven goals and five assists. However, it's important that you check the team lineups when selecting the midfielder as Ranieri (The Tinkerman) has lived up to his reputation of rotating even his most in-form players. If Mahrez does start, we expect him to once again play an important role in Leicester's attack. If you think that West Ham are going to find the back of the net this weekend, then you're essentially saying that you think Dimitri Payet (MO £13.5m FB £7.5m) will score some decent points. The Frenchman has contributed either a goal or assist in eight of West Ham's opening 11 matches. Everton have conceded at least two goals in their last three Premier League matches and in a fixture that looks set to bring goals, it'd be a bold move not to back Payet. As we mentioned that we expect West Ham Vs. Everton to bring goals, it'd be rude of us not to highlight an Everton player who's been brimming with confidence the last couple of weeks. Gerard Deulofeu (MO £7.1m FB £6.5m) has tallied up three assists and a goal in Everton's last two league matches. With two assists in the second half against Sunderland, including a perfectly weighted pass for the second, Deulofeu's end product is improving and he's starting to look a real game changer.

Forward Tips

11 games, 11 goals! What more is there to say about man of the moment Jamie Vardy (MO £9.7m FB £6.0m) who is breaking records each week? The English striker has now scored in eight successive matches and finds himself just two more weeks away from matching Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record of 10. Opposition Watford have proved hard to break down this season, but if you can count on one striker tearing apart their defence it's Vardy. He'll know doubt have high ownership this weekend, but rightly so. Claudio Ranieri promised to take his players for pizza when they recorded their first clean sheet of the season, and kept to his promise following their 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace two weeks back. The Foxes failed to continue their defensive form and looked at sixes and sevens in their following match against West Brom. Odion Ighalo (MO £10.5m FB £5.0m) has been smashing them in for the Hornets with seven goals already for season, including his two last week. If one Watford player is going to pull the Leicester defence to pizzas this Saturday, it's him… I'll get my coat. All is still not well at Sunderland after they shipped six goals away to Everton, following Big Sam's experiment with a 3-5-1-2 formation. Graziano Pellè (MO £9.9m FB £8.0m) returned to his goal scoring ways last weekend after a small drought and will be a favourite this Saturday to find the back of the net. Last time these two sides met Southampton delivered an eight goal thriller, if it's even a quarter of that this Saturday then Pellè will surely rack up some decent fantasy points.
