Captain Tips Gameweek 18 Fantasy Premier League Tips.

It's form vs fixture in this week's captain tips for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 18. This week we sort the Christmas crackers from the puddings as we run the rule over Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard, Sadio Mane, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku, Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne to find out who is the start at the top of the tree in Gameweek 18. All statistics in this article, both player and team, are taken from the last four gameweeks.

Which player is in the best form?

# Player G A PPG
1 Sanchez 4 3 10
2 Ibrahimovic 4 1 8
2 Mane 2 3 8
4 Hazard 1 0 4.75
4 Kane 2 0 4.75
6 De Bruyne 0 2 4.25
6 Lukaku 2 0 4.25
Alexis Sanchez tops our form charts yet again. This is in large thanks to his early present of a 23-point haul away at West Ham in Gameweek 14, although the Chilean has delivered attacking returns in each of his last five games and is currently providing a solid armband option each week. Two more players in great form are Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sadio Mane. The Swede has now bagged seven goals in his last six games and hit double figures in back-to-back fixtures against Crystal Palace and West Brom. Mane also appears to also be finding some consistency to match is explosive potential. His late winner in the Merseyside derby meant he had earned returns in six of his last nine games and has managed at least six points in each of his last four Anfield matches. Lower down the list we have another tie with both Eden Hazard and Harry Kane managing a mediocre 4.75 points over their last four. Hazard missed a potentially profitable tie against Sunderland and has only one goal in his last four, while Kane frustrated his owners by blanking in home games against both Hull City and Burnley - two fixtures you'd expect the England international to score heavily in. At the bottom we have two more Belgians in Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. With Sergio Aguero suspended, De Bruyne has been the best player in a slightly struggling City side and leads the league with nine assists. Although he only has two to show for himself in the last four games, his three bonus points at Arsenal show how important he is to Pep Guardiola's cause. Lukaku's days as a captaincy option appear numbered however, with a brace against Watford in Gameweek 15 his only returns in the last seven matches.

Which player has the easiest fixture in Gameweek 18?

# Player Vs GC BCC
1 Hazard BOU (H) 8 10
2 De Bruyne HUL (A) 7 7
2 Ibrahimovic SUN (H) 7 7
4 Lukaku LEI (A) 7 3
5 Sanchez WBA (H) 5 4
6 Mane STO (H) 4 1
7 Kane SOU (A) 2 3
Hazard undoubtedly has the best fixture as he faces up to a Bournemouth side that have shipped eight goals in four away matches. With another seven goals conceded at home to Liverpool and Southampton, the Cherries look far from watertight at the moment and with Diego Costa suspended, Hazard may be the man to profit. Both the Manchester clubs have great fixtures on paper this weekend. De Bruyne's City side travel to a Hull side who haven't shut a side out since Gameweek two. Ibrahimovic takes on a Sunderland side who are starting to find their feet under ex-United boss David Moyes, although the Black Cats have still conceded seven goals and seven big chances in four away games - the same as the Tigers. Leicester City have also let in seven goals in the same period, but interestingly haven't given away as many big chances. Having first-choice keeper Kasper Schmeichel between the sticks may reduce their goals against although they may struggle without the suspended Christian Fuchs and Robert Huth at the back, with Lukaku arguably having no better opportunity to turn his poor form around. In vast contrast to a usual Tony Pulis side, West Brom have been very generous at the back this season. They have been slightly better away from home, perhaps with the Welshman more comfortable shutting up shop away from the Hawthorns, and it will be interesting to see if Sanchez finds the net against a side that has given up a single goal in each of their last three. The two players with the toughest fixtures are Mane and Kane. Stoke have a decent run of conceding just once and allowing no big chances in their three away games prior to a 3-1 loss against Arsenal, although Mane will fancy his chances after last week's capitulation at Liverpool. Kane has the toughest trip of the lot when he faces a Saints side that have kept clean sheets in each of their last three games at St Mary's.

Who is the best captain option for Gameweek 18?

[caption id="attachment_7025" align="alignleft" width="210"]gameweek 18 captain tips Gameweek 18 Captain: Zlatan Ibrahimovic[/caption] This should be a high-scoring Gameweek with so many popular options facing weaker opponents, and there are four main options that should be considered. While he hasn't been in the best of form, Eden Hazard is a decent option against a Bournemouth side that can't seem to shut anyone out. With Diego Costa absent, the Belgian could be allowed a few more goalscoring chances and always has penalties in his locker as well. Despite ranking well statistically in defence, Stoke City are starting to look more like the side that gifted goals at the start of the season. With Philippe Coutinho missing the last few games with injury, Sadio Mane has stepped up his game this season with eight goals and six assists and will probably be the main beneficiary if Mark Hughes' side has another off-day. With his propensity for explosive hauls, Alexis Sanchez can't be ignored easily by those who own him. The Chilean is in great form and even if West Brom defend deep to try and grind out a clean sheet, the Gunners forward has the ability to create something out of nothing. On paper however, the best option of the lot is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The big Swede is coming off the back of an impressive  (if fortuitous) 12-point haul at West Brom, and has been brought in as a straight swap for the suspended Costa for this fixture.

Fantasy Football Betting

As you're probably aware of, this season we teamed up with Bet4theBest to promote their fantasy football betting website. We chose to promote Bet4theBest, rather than the likes of DraftKing & FanDuel, because we felt that their game is more catered to our audience. The website is for fantasy football players, by fantasy football players. Unlike the aforementioned, they invest their money into improving their game rather than lucrative marketing campaigns. You won't find contests full of 25,000 players and you won't find the same player entering 1,000 teams to cover every possible outcome. Bet4theBest have recently updated their contest lobby so that it includes a wider variety of tournaments. You can now try their game for just £2.50, and if you place you could reinvest the money back into tournaments with a larger prizes. Give it a try this boxing day.
