Captain Picks Gameweek 32 - Fantasy Premier League Tips

Share post on:
Yet another Gameweek has passed where the captain decision proved make or break for the majority of fantasy football managers. With the memory of Harry Kane smashing his first Premier League hattrick past Kasper Schmeichel fresh in every fantasy manager's mind, the decision to stick with the 21-year old or opt for a double Gameweek striker was widely debated up until the deadline. Based upon FFFix's captaincy ownership stats, we reckon at least 50% of you reading this went for either Harry Kane (36.5%) or Sergio Aguero (12.1%). We'd therefore like to take this time to apologise for the sound defensive display from Sean Dyche's men and the lacklustre performance from the current Champions. Here's to hoping our Fantasy Premier League tips can put you back on track this weekend and bring back those beautiful green arrows! [mks_separator style="dashed" height="2"]

LOW RISK

[mks_separator style="dashed" height="2"] [mks_col] [mks_one_half] Eden Hazard vs QPR (A) What better way for arguably the player of the season to mark his 100th Premier League appearance for the blues than by adding to his lead at the top of the fantasy football statistics with another fine display this weekend away to struggling QPR. Eden Hazard has been unstoppable on the road this year, picking up an average of just under 10 points per game in his last three away games. City's loss to Crystal Palace on Monday will have delighted Jose Mourinho, and he will be looking to his midfield maestro to tighten that grip on the Premier League title with Diego Costa and potentially Cesc Fabregas sidelined through injury. [/mks_one_half] [mks_one_half] Olivier Giroud vs BUR (A) Having found the back of the net in his last six Premier League appearances for Arsenal - a record last achieved for Arsenal by Emmanuel Adebayor in 2008 - It should come as no surprise to see Oliver Giroud captain many sides this weekend, and based on his recent form, why shouldn't he? There's talk that Arsenal are now the side that are most likely to challenge Chelsea for the title. Their 4-1 drubbing over Liverpool certainly gives them a chance with Chelsea still to visit the Emirates, but it's an outside one at best. Nonetheless, Burnley look an opposition that Arsenal will easily pull apart this weekend, with the Clarets winning just one of their last nine Premier League games. MEDIUM RISK

[mks_separator style="dashed" height="2"] [mks_col] [mks_one_half] Harry Kane vs AVL (H) When the final whistle blew at Turf Moor last weekend and a certain Harry Kane wasn't featured on the score-sheet it sent shock waves and anguish throughout the fantasy football world. The 21-year old's season has been nothing short of remarkable, and following a busy March with seven games for club and country Kane failed to carry on his incredible goal scoring record. This weekend Spurs host Aston Villa - a side who have lost their last five meetings with Tottenham, conceding at least two on each occasion - and with a Europa League spot to play for, Kane will be expected to return to the form that's seen him net six times in his last four games. [/mks_one_half] [mks_one_half] Wayne Rooney vs MCI (H) Depending on results below them, whoever loses the Manchester derby this weekend may be drawn back into a dogfight for that all important top four finish. City now sit a point behind their Manchester rivals and will go into the derby on the back of three losses in their last four in all competitions. Wayne Rooney thrives in these derbies, netting 11 times across their last 22 meetings - the most by any United player in their history - and with Van Gaal now finding some much needed form at the end of a difficult campaign a gamble on Rooney could edge you ahead of rivals in your respective leagues. HIGH RISK

[mks_separator style="dashed" height="2"] [mks_col] [mks_one_half] Glenn Murray vs SUN (A) Despite his perhaps un-sportsmanlike behaviour on occasions you have to respect Glenn Murray. His brutish approach has helped Crystal Palace flourish under new manager Alan Pardew, securing four wins in their last five in the league. Sunderland may have got the better of Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby last weekend courtesy of that Jermaine Defoe wonder strike, but they've been poor of late, and Palace look like a side booming with confidence. Murray has earned a goal and assist in his last two matches, and a frail Sunderland back-line could improve that record. [/mks_one_half] [mks_one_half] Loic Remy vs QPR (A) Having rescued 3 points against Stoke last weekend after Charlie Adam's 60 yard wonder strike levelled the scoring. Loic Remy will have likely earned his second consecutive start this weekend, standing in for an injured Diego Costa. The Frenchman's 62nd minute finish was his second winning goal in as many games, following a goal with his first touch at the KC Stadium in Gameweek 30. With two goals in two games, Remy's cool finishing and seemingly current confidence will bode well against QPR; as one of the best strike forces in the league take on one of the leakiest defences.
