Power Rankings - Gameweek 17 - Fantasy Premier League Tips.

The Power Rankings have been designed to help fantasy football managers visualise the form of players in each position. Using these rankings it's easy to monitor which players are gaining and losing form. The rankings are calculated using data from the last FOUR gameweeks. Players are ranked in order of form (total points) and then compared to the previous gameweek's table to show their change in rank (rank diff) and form (form diff). If you would like to sort FPL data by a specific gameweek range, head over to All Fantasy Tips.

Goalkeeper Power Rankings - Gameweek 17:

Gameweek 17 - FPL Power Rankings (GK) Three clean sheets in four matches has ensured Lee Grant (£4.2) remains top of the goalkeeper rankings. The Stoke goalkeeper is proving an absolute bargain and his ownership remains at just 5.0% with many expecting Jack Butland to reclaim his spot at the beginning of January. Fraser Forster (£5.1) narrowly makes second place with three clean sheets in his last four, whilst Thibaut Courtois (£5.7) and Hugo Lloris (£5.5) tie for third after recording a shutout in 50% of of their last four. Elsewhere, Jordan Pickford (£4.2) and Loris Karius (£4.9) drop out of the top ten. Sunderland are without a clean sheet in four matches and Karius was dropped for Simon Mignolet (£4.7) who kept a clean sheet in Gameweek 16.

Defender Power Rankings - Gameweek 17:

Gameweek 17 - FPL Power Rankings (DF) Chris Brunt (£5.0) holds his place at the top after picking up his second double-digit haul in the last month. Brunt is listed as a defender but is currently being utilised in an attacking midfield position, increasing his potential for attacking returns. Virgil van Dijk (£5.7) drops from joint first to second, despite claiming another clean sheet. Meanwhile, the Stoke trio of Glen Johnson (£4.7), Marc Muniesa (£4.2) and Marcus Indi (£4.9) makeup third place with three clean sheets in four. Chelsea are back to their resolute defensive ways with two clean sheets in their last two matches. It would be no surprise to see Marcos Alonso (£6.3) and Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.3) heading the table again in the weeks to come.

Midfielder Power Rankings - Gameweek 17:

Gameweek 17 - FPL Power Rankings (MF)Congratulations to those who transferred in Christian Eriksen (£8.5) ahead of his 19-point haul against Hull. The Spurs midfielder now ties first place with Alexis Sanchez (£11.8), both recording a whopping average of 12.25 points per game. Adam Lallana (£7.3) was this week's biggest climber after also scoring 19 points in Gameweek 16. With frustrating mounting on Roberto Firmino (£8.6) and Sadio Mane (£9.4) off to AFCON next month, many are now looking towards the English midfielder. Elsewhere, we aren't left with much change in the rankings. Gameweek 17 proved a bit of an anomaly when it came to in-form midfielders finding the net, with the likes of Victor Wanyama, Marc Pugh & Cesc Fabregas proving the difference for their clubs.

Forward Power Rankings - Gameweek 17:

Gameweek 17 - FPL Power Rankings (ST) As it stands, Divock Origi (£6.8) is proving to be the best replacement for Sergio Aguero. The Liverpool striker has now managed as goal in each of his last four matches in the Premier League. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (£11.2) has scored five goals in his last six matches and has cropped up on a lot of watch-lists with the Aguero cash still floating around. A glance at his upcoming fixtures makes him hard to resist. Salomon Rondon (£6.6) stole the show in Gameweek 16 after he bagged a hat-trick against Swansea. The Baggies have improved significantly in attack, scoring 23 goals in their opening 16 matches. Last season they only managed 34 goals in 38 matches.
