Gameweek 7 Goal Scoring Analysis For Fantasy Premier League.
Which team has the best attacking potential for Gameweek 7? We've analysed attacking form, fixture difficulty and the bookies odds to reveal which teams are going to score the highest.
Last game week the table suggested that Man City, Everton & Liverpool had the highest potential whilst Swansea, Bournemouth & Middlesbrough had the lowest. Manchester City scored three, Liverpool five but Everton failed to find the back of the net, however, the table still provided an accurate prediction. The lowest three also had a total of three goals, with each side scoring once, again showing the table is providing an accurate representation. Ahead of Gameweek 7, @CallumRead has compiled the data and created another forecast which hopefully provides results with a similar accuracy to last week. Not only is this useful when selecting your FPL team, it's also a great visual aid for Daily Fantasy players. How is the data calculated? Every team has been rated 1 to 20 (1: best in the league, 20: worst in the league) based on form, fixture and odds. We've then totalled up all three scores and colour coded them for you to easily visualise which ones have the best goalscoring potential for Gameweek 6.Gameweek 7 Attacking Potential: Form Vs. Observations from the table:
It's Liverpool who top the table in Gameweek 7, as they'll look to build on their 5-1 win over Hull City when they travel to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City. If you believe the world of Social Media, then it's a bad time to be Francesco Guidolin, as reports suggest he is in danger of losing his job having lost four of his opening six Premier League games. Liverpool, meanwhile, sit in fourth position and look to be serious title challengers this season. Jurgen Klopp has installed passion, heart and desire into his side and they are playing with no fear this season. Adam Lallana provides a cheaper option in the Liverpool midfield, but Sadio Mane looks to be your best bet at this present moment. Mane has just won the PFA Fans' Premier League Player of the Month award for August & September and has been directly involved in 14 goals in his last 15 games at club level (consisting of 11 goals and three assists). He's created eight chances and had 10 attempts on goal in his last four games, so picking a Liverpool player who is carrying good form certainly isn't the worst idea. Manchester United place second in the overall standings and are finally carrying some goal scoring form, having found the back of the net seven times in their last two Premier League games - including four against Champions Leicester City last weekend. It's fair to say, Marcus Rashford is living the dream, playing Premier League football at just 18. He's had 10 attempts on goal in his last four games and scored three times, he's priced at an incredibly cheap £6.9m going into Gameweek 7 and will fancy himself to score once more when Manchester United face a Stoke City side who look like conceding every week. Arsenal place third on the overall table. Spirits will be high in Wenger's side after they dismantled Chelsea 3-0 in Gameweek 6 and followed it up with a 2-0 Champions League win over Basel. The quality of Alexis Sanchez is starting to show; he was on the scoresheet and assisted once against Chelsea, bringing his Premier League total to four goals and three assists. The Chilean has had 14 attempts on goal in his last four Premier League games and has created six chances. With an in form Arsenal side travelling to Burnley on Sunday, we'd be more than happy to back Alexis to be involved in the scoring for the Gunners. If you're after a differential from the Arsenal side, Theo Walcott could provide just that. In the Premier League, Walcott has scored three times, including consecutive goals in his last two games - he also scored both the goals in the midweek Champions League win, so he's having somewhat of a resurgence and his stats seem to back this up. He's created four chances, had three big chances and had 13 attempts on goal in his last four games - impressive stats for a man many thought had fallen off the radar at Arsenal. Completing the top four is Chelsea, and it's fair to say Antonio Conte's side have been less than impressive this season. They've made silly errors defensively and seem to have great difficulty finding the back of the net. One man who is enjoying this season, however, is Diego Costa. It's bizarre that a man who wanted to leave Stamford Bridge this summer has been the best player in a Chelsea shirt, but Costa is giving 100% in every single game even when the rest of his side aren't - just look at that defeat to Arsenal for evidence. The forward has five goals already this season, and he'll be hoping to get back to scoring ways against a Hull City side who shipped five last weekend (and who will also be without Ahmed Elmohamady). Costa has had 14 attempts on goal in his last four fixtures, and with Hull conceding the second most Big Chances in their last four games (12) and conceding 11 in the same period, you have to fancy Chelsea's talisman to find the net. Other findings Tottenham place 11th overall on the table, but are carrying the fifth best form; many people would write them off against Manchester City this weekend, but Mauricio Pochettino's side certainly have a chance of upsetting the odds this weekend and coming away with a win. Pep's defence certainly hasn't been watertight this season, and conceded three to Celtic in the Champions League during the week. For Spurs coverage, we currently have one man whose form is almost impossible to ignore. Heung-Min Son has scored five goals in his last five games, including the winner against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League win. It's an interesting change of fortunes for the Spurs man, he wanted out from White Hart Lane, but now he looks like a key fixture in their side. He's created 10 chances and had 14 attempts on goal in his last four Premier League games; he's also one of the most in-form players in the league, so without doubt, he should be considered moving forward. Crystal Palace have scored nine goals in their last three Premier League games, but this weekend have the hardest fixture according to the table; however, they are carrying the fourth best form, and this weekend they travel to Everton (recently defeated by Bournemouth 1-0) in the Friday Night Fixture. One man whose stats are impressive for Alan Pardew's side over the last four games is Jason Puncheon, he's created a staggering 21 chances in the last four games - the most in the Premier League. But that being said, Puncheon's stuck on just six attempts on goal. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum is Andros Townsend, the winger has created just four chances, but has had 13 attempts on goal. The former has 0 goals and two assists to his name this season, with the latter registering one goal and one assist. We lean more towards Townsend for his goal scoring qualities, but there is one other player who interests us in the Palace side. Christian Benteke has had 12 attempts on goal in his last four Premier League games, seeing two big chances fall his way and creating five. His late winner against Sunderland was his second goal of the season and he's really starting to look a part of the Palace side. We've been very critical of those managers who still own Alvaro Negredo, but they could be laughing at us this weekend. Middlesbrough have the fourth easiest fixture according to the table and will fancy themselves against a West Ham side that have lost five of their opening six Premier League games. Former United midfielder, Stewart Downing, provides an interesting option for Gameweek 7, and is probably the best bet for a midfielder from the Boro side this weekend. He's created eight chances and had seven attempts on goal in his last four Premier League games, and his stats suggest he is the most creative outlet in the Middlesbrough side. He is certainly worth a look, though more so for your Daily Fantasy Football side than Fantasy Premier League. Charlie Austin has been on fire of late, scoring in each of his last four games and collecting one assist in the process. His form has proved impossible to ignore for Saints manager Claude Puel, who gave Austin his first start of the Premier League season against West Ham, and was repaid with a goal and assist. The striker was rested for Southampton's Europa League game against Hapoel Beer Sheva suggesting Puel wants him fully fit for Southampton's trip to Leicester City. The Champions are having a mixed campaign this year winning twice, losing three times and drawing just the once; but it's their defensive form that gives Southampton the fourth best fixture this week. They conceded four last week against Manchester United, twice against Chelsea in the EFL Cup and four times against Liverpool. With Charlie Austin seemingly in hot form and scoring whenever he's on the field, the Southampton fan is certainly worth a shot at £6.4m.[alert type=yellow ]Introducing Bet4theBest
