Best Attacking Defenders For Gameweek 27

Man United vs. Bournemouth

Eddie Howe has publicly expressed his concerns for his club's recent form. They have conceded 15 times in their last four away matches, which is coincidentally the same number of times they have found the net on their league travels all season. Antonio Valencia will spend the majority of the game in the opposition's half and will look for Zlatan Ibrahimovic inside the box at every opportunity.

Leicester vs. Hull

The visitors have lost 10 of their last 11 away fixtures, while Leicester have turned round with a huge victory over Liverpool in gameweek 26. Robert Huth is always a decent goal threat from set-pieces and was unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet at the weekend.

Stoke vs. Middlesbrough

Mark Hughes is unbeaten in his last four home league games against Middlesbrough as a manager, while Karanka's side are the lowest scorers in the league this season and have failed to convert in 12 matches. Erik Pieters has improved his attacking exploits this season, contributing with two assists, 63 points on Bet4theBest and a handful of bonus points on FPL.

Swansea vs. Burnley

Swansea have won all three of their previous Premier League meetings with the Clarets, all by a 1-0 scoreline. More of the same would be a pleasant result for Paul Clement. Watford vs. Southampton

West Brom vs. Crystal Palace

West Brom have never lost a home league match against Palace, so Tony Pulis will be confident of shutting them out once again and boost their aim for a best Premier League finish. Just like the Mawson and Olsson story, Jonny Evans will have a much lower ownership than McAuley coming into this one. He is a great differential and a potent goal-threat.

Liverpool vs. Arsenal

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last three home Premier League games against Arsenal and it's common knowledge that Arsene struggles against the top sides away from the Emirates. Joel Matip is regularly popping up in dangerous positions in and around the box, and we feel it's only a matter of time before he adds to his solitary PL goal.

Tottenham vs. Everton

Pochettino's first league game was a 0-0 draw against Everton. He has won three, drawn four and lost one of eight meetings with the Toffees since then. In contrast, Ronald Koeman has won only one of his five league games against Spurs. Kyle Walker basically camps in the final third of the pitch, and has already notched two more assists (6) than any Premier League defenders this season.

Sunderland vs. Man City

Sunderland have lost each of their last five Premier League games against Manchester City and would happily take a draw before kick-off. Guardiola will have other ideas and our Bet4theBest pick is Nicolas Otamendi. Similar to Matip, he finds himself in very dangerous positions and should have scored a couple more this season.

West Ham vs. Chelsea

Chelsea have lost just two of their last 21 Premier League games against West Ham and will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table with a comfortable victory in this all-London affair. Marcus Alonso averages more points per minute (0.065) than the likes of Dele Alli, Saido Mane and Gylfi Sigurdsson on Bet4theBest and will most likely be the highest-owned defender across all formats in Gameweek 27.
