Welcome to this week's Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 22 review. In this article, Daniel Richardson provides us with an in-depth fixture-by-fixture breakdown of the the weekend's results.

Aston Villa 1-1 Leicester City

Goals: Okazaki (28'), Gestede (75') Assists: Vardy Bonus Points: Bunn (3), Gestede (2), Gueye (1) At the start of the game Leicester had the best chances with a header from Vardy saved by Mark Bunn and moments later the Villa keeper was booked for a late slide tackle on Vardy, as he looked to be in on goal. Only a yellow was given due to the presence of covering defenders. Around fifteen minutes later, Leicester broke the deadlock with an attempted assist from Kasper Schmeichel sending Vardy racing through. Bunn scrambled back to keep out the audacious chip from Vardy but only pushed it as far as Okazaki who was waiting at the edge of the 6-yard box to put Leicester in front. Aly Cissokho was booked in the first half for a controversial hand ball decision which saw a penalty given to Leicester. However, Riyad Mahrez missed the penalty, which isn't the best for those that have him in their fantasy teams. There were a few chances at the start of the second half but none yet converted. One attempt from Cissokho forced a save from Schmeichel and Daniel Drinkwater's attempt forced another save from Mark Bunn. Still needing an equaliser, Villa brought on Rudy Gestede and after less than ten minutes he brought Villa level. His shot took a slight deflection off Wes Morgan and went past the keeper making it 1-1. This point took Leicester back to top of the league.

Southampton 3-0 West Brom

Goals: Ward-Prowse (5'), (35' pen), Tadic (72') Assists: Targett, S. Davis, Mane Bonus Points: Ward-Prowse (3), Targett (2), Bertrand (1) It didn't take long for Southampton to get on the score sheet is this match with Ward-Prowse getting his first of the match in just the fourth minute. After Sadio Mané won a free kick, the Southampton player buried the free kick into the top left corner making it 1-0. West Brom came close a couple of time through Craig Gardener. The first a missed header from inside the box and the second a shot from outside the box which went over the bar. Southampton then had chances of their own and eventually won a penalty with Craig Dawson fouling Matt Target. This was converted by Ward-Prowse for his second. West Brom looked to start strong with an opportunity seconds into the second half put over by Victor Anichebe. Again there was chances for both sides but it was Southampton who scored again just before the three quarter mark. Dusan Tadic put away a shot from a difficult angle after being assisted by Steven Davis who then came off, replaced by Oriol Romeu. The match finished 3-0 with Southampton taking the three points.

Newcastle 2-1 West Ham

Goals: Pérez (6'), Wijnaldum (15'), Jelavic (49') Assists: Wijnaldum, Janmaat Bonus Points: Wijnaldum (3), Ayoze (2), Jelavic (1) After their entertaining draw against Man United, Newcastle managed to gain all three points this time around. Another early goal in the Premier League, this time from Ayoze Pérez who had already had one attempt stopped, he then put Newcastle in front with his shot from outside the box in the sixth minute. Not long after, West Ham could have been level as Michail Antonio was waiting at the back post to put the ball in the net, but Coloccini was there to intervene. This proved vital as two minutes later Shelvey played a brilliant cross-field ball to Janmaat, who found Wijnaldum to make it 2-0 fifteen minutes in. After West Ham brought on Nikica Jelavic at half time, he made an instant impact, scoring in the forty-ninth minute. The striker latched on to Mbemba's short back pass and then took the ball round Newcastle keeper Elliot, to pull one back for West Ham. It wasn't until very late on when West Ham had their best chance to equalise. A header from Kouyaté in the eighty-eighth minute forced a save, but again Jelavic played a part by providing the cross. After a huge eight minutes of injury time, the game still finished 2-1.

Man City 4-0 Crystal Palace

Goals: Delph (22'), Agüero (41'), (68'), Silva (84') Assists: Silva, Ihneanacho, De Bruyne, Agüero Bonus Points: Aguero (3), Delph (2), Silva (1) Agüero is clearly back on form and might not be a bad addition to some fantasy teams given City's next couple of Premier league fixtures. But the first goal was scored by his teammate Fabian Delph, who struck a shot from outside the box and poor goalkeeping meant it snuck under Wayne Hennessey. City's second goal not long before half time was also a slight touch of luck as Agüero's shot off the head of Scott Dann to make it 2-0 going into half time. Agüero's second in the sixty-eighth minute was all his however, it was put on a plate for him by Kevin De Bruyne as the City striker had a simple finish from close range. Between City's third and fourth goals Palace didn't really have any opportunities and on the eighty-fourth minute David Silva made it 4-0 after an unselfish pass from Agüero. The Man City striker would have had a hat trick with only the keeper to beat, but instead played it in to Silva for his first league goal since August.

Chelsea 3-3 Everton

Goals: Terry (50' og), Mirallas (56'), D. Costa (64'), Fàbregas (66'), Funes Mori (90'), Terry (90+8') Assists: L. Baines, Fàbregas, D. Costa, G. Deulofeu, Oscar Bonus Points: Fabregas (3), Baines (2), Mirallas (1) There was a lot of late drama at Stamford Bridge this weekend with another eight minutes injury time which allowed Chelsea to grab at point. Despite the eventual drama the first half remained goalless but most chances were from Everton. Two shots from Ross Barkley were blocked and Lukaku's missed with a strike from outside the box. As the second half started, the first goal came from Chelsea's John Terry in the fiftieth minute, however into the wrong net, putting Everton 1-0 up. Everton managed to extend their lead through a half-volley from Mirallas just six minutes after their first. However, Chelsea got themselves straight back into the game with two quick fire goals in the sixty-fourth and sixty-sixth minutes. The first from Costa and the second from Fàbregas, they assisted one an other for the goals and the pair got Chelsea back in the match. Everton thought they had won it with a ninetieth minute goal put in by Funes Mori. Guus Hiddink's side thought differently after a long ball was flicked on by three Chelsea players, fell to Terry who was actually a yard offside, and then slotted home to clinch a point back for Chelsea in the eighth minute of injury time.

Bournemouth 3-0 Norwich

Goals: Gosling (10'), Daniels (54' pen), Afobe (75') Assists: M. Pugh (x2), Daniels Bonus Points: Daniels (3), Gosling (2), Afobe (1) Bournemouth had already had a couple of good chances before they opened the scoring in the tenth minute through a Dan Gosling header, this was after a curling cross put into the box by Pugh. Both Matt Jarvis and Robbie Brady had their efforts saved by Bournemouth keeper Boruc whilst Norwich were fortunate not to have their keeper, Declan Rudd, sent off. Rudd rushed out of his area and brought down Benik Afobe, but only received a yellow. Just under ten minutes into the second half Norwich's Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe fouled Marc Pugh in the box and conceded a penalty, Charlie Daniels converted from the spot. Although Norwich had a few chances through the likes of Mbokani and Dorrans, Bournemouth had again had more opportunities and eventually scored their third of the match. New signing Benik Afobe got on the end of a Charlie Daniels cross to side foot the ball into the net in the seventy-fifth minute.

Tottenham 4-1 Sunderland

Goals: Van Aanholt (40'), Eriksen (42'), (67'), Dembélé (59'), Kane (79') Assists: A. Johnson, E. Dier, Kane, Rose (x2) Bonus Points: Eriksen (3), Dembele (2), Kane (1) Sunderland went in front first with Van Aanholt who has a solid goal scoring record in his last few games, especially as a defender. After a clever pass from Johnson, he scored from a difficult angle and beat Lloris at his near post to make it 1-0. The lead only lasted two minutes as title contenders Spurs equalised in the forty-second minute. Kane's initial shot was saved but then put away by Eriksen to go into half time level. However, Spurs took control in the second half with Dembélé starting the scoring with a low, hard shot from the edge of the box on the fifty-ninth minute. Eriksen also had an effort from outside the box in the sixty-seventh minute which couldn't be kept out by Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford. The final goal was scored from the spot as Jan Kirchhoff fouled Danny Rose in the penalty box and Harry Kane put the ball in the back of the net in the seventy-ninth minute of the game.

Stoke 0-0 Arsenal

Bonus Points: Cech (3), G. Johnson (2), Koscielny (1), Monreal (1) Two of the Premier League's best keepers this season showed their top form by earning their sides a point in this goalless draw. Both Butland and Cech pulled off some excellent saves to keep clean sheets, so two great keepers to have in your fantasy teams. Stoke keeper Jack Butland made some brilliant saves to deny Olivier Giroud and also managed to tip a curling twenty yard shot from Oxlade-Chamberlain over the bar in the twenty-ninth minute. Petr Cech didn't have too much to do in the first half but when he was called into action during the second half he pulled off a great double save to prevent Bojan from scoring. Both sides had chances in the second half, especially the effort from Walters in the eighty-ninth minute which had actually beaten Cech, but was cleared off the line by Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey.

Liverpool 0-1 Man United

Goals: Rooney (78') Assist: Fellaini Bonus Points: Rooney (3), De Gea (2), Smalling (1) United had the majority of possession in the first half but Liverpool had the better chances, with Adam Lallana going through on goal after a brilliant long ball by Lucas, only to be denied by David De Gea. Firmino then dragged the rebound wide. Milner and Henderson also had plenty of good opportunities but their shots were hit wide or over the bar. United's best and almost only chance of the half came from Ander Herrera who sliced a shot wide in the twenty-ninth minute. Liverpool's shots began to trouble De Gea more in the second half but he was up to the task. Anthony Martial had a great chance to put United in front in the fifty-fifth minute, taking a shot from a difficult angle after dribbling with the ball, however the Frenchman put it wide. United eventually scored what was to be the only goal in the game on the seventy-eighth through captain Wayne Rooney. Mata's cross was headed onto the crossbar by Fellaini but Rooney was there to hammer home the rebound.

Swansea 1-0 Watford

Goals: Williams (27') Assists: Ki Sung-Yueng Bonus Points: Williams (3), Fernandez (2), Taylor (1), Naughton (1) Watford started off well with an effort from Ighalo after just twenty-one seconds which was blocked, but after this they only really had one other chance before they conceded. This came from Troy Deeney in the twentieth minute who also had his shot blocked. However, seven minutes later Swansea went ahead with a goal from Williams. Ki Sung-Yueng was allowed time to cross and Williams jumped to head it in and give his side a 1-0 lead at half time. The away side came close to equalising a few times early in the second half. Their best opportunity was in the fifty-first minute as Miguel Britos got on the end of a cross from Ben Watson, but unfortunately flicked it over the bar. Both sides had penalty appeals in the second half but neither were given and Swansea came away with three vital home points to take them out of the bottom three.
