Premier League GW34+ Begins Tuesday 7th July 2020

As we move one step closer to the end of this Premier League season, the twists and turns in both the races for Europe and the quest to beat the threat of relegation were in full effect over the course of the weekend.

Which means with this competition always proving to be high drama, we're confident that there will be more of the same over the next few days and with another raft of top flight fixtures, it's time to once again go number crunching.

Now is the time for your bold picks to pay off, while your enables, your differentials and your budget blowers all need to come good. For that to happen, you are going to need some insight and for that insight to appear, you are going to have to read our latest raft of….

Did You Know?

As mentioned in the previous part of this series, Liverpool were aiming for FIFTY-SEVEN home leagues games unbeaten and after beating Aston Villa on Sunday, they have now gone the equivalent of three season's worth of matches at Anfield without defeat.

They will look to rack up another impressive number in midweek, when they travel to Brighton and currently Jurgen Klopp's men have gone undefeated in 72 of their last 76 matches. That's just four defeats in the equivalent of two season. Insane.

Another interesting stat is that Brighton and Liverpool have the two highest percentages in terms of winning aerial duels. Does that mean there will be a raft of head tennis at The AMEX?

Arsenal have won their last 9 home matches against Leicester in all competitions. After getting back into the winning groove, facing an inform Gunners side and with this stat now rather pertinent, it might see the Foxes slip down to fourth by the end of the gameweek.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) has scored the most right footed goals in the Premier League this season, with 13. Although after Jamie Vardy's brace at the weekend, the former England international has moved two goals clear at the top of the Golden Boot standings (21 in total)

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Chelsea's last 7 games (Premier League). Whether Crystal Palace can help extend this or whether Chelsea will have to score all three on Tuesday remains to be seen.

After Wolves' defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, they have ceded the longest current unbeaten streak in the division to Manchester United, who themselves have extended it to nine games without a Premier League defeat.

Also they and Arsenal have the current longest streak of Premier League wins, with three each.

While on the opposite side of the outcome spectrum, defeat for Aston Villa at Anfield, Dean Smith's men have failed to win any of their last nine league matches. Not the part of the season to go on such a bad run of results.

Even though Liverpool's monster home run will garner the most focus, we should not overlook the blue half of Merseyside and with Carlo Ancelotti's men now unbeaten in their last nine at Goodison Park, they are creating a fortress of their own.

Both Bournemouth and Norwich have lost their last five league outings, the kind of streak that in the final few weeks of the campaign screams relegation. While in the case of the latter, Norwich have scored the fewest goals per game in the Premier League this season, with 0.76.

Something that will only reinforce the fact that although not mathematically dropped yet, the Canaries will not be singing in the Premier League for much longer.

With that said, you don't have to score a boatload of goals to be a success in the division and when you consider that Sheffield United only average 1.03 per game themselves, it highlights the value of an incredibly watertight defence.

Manchester City have attempted the most passes per game in the Premier League this season, with 679.97 and their overall pass accuracy is 89.1%. Not much in the way of stray balls as far as Pep Guardiola's men are concerned.

Ben Foster (Watford) has made the most inaccurate long balls in the Premier League this season, with 582. This stat is about as boring, as his constant time wasting.
