Aston Villa vs Leeds
This weekend we are served a first dose of Friday night football of the season and with Aston Villa continuing their perfect start to the campaign last Sunday, Dean Smith will be hoping that his men can record a fifth successive win at home to Leeds.
Leeds currently find themselves lying 10th in the table and their three-game unbeaten run came to an end on Monday, as they were beaten by a deflected Raul Jimenez strike for Wolves.
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Leeds
West Ham vs Manchester City
The Premier League has not been short of drama in the opening month of the season and this was evident by West Ham's dramatic equaliser away at Tottenham on Sunday, one that saw them claw back a point after being three goals down.
This Saturday sees them play host to a Manchester City side, who got the better of Arsenal last time out and they will now look for more joy against London opposition.
Prediction: West Ham 1-3 Manchester City
Fulham vs Crystal Palace
Fulham can at least take some solace from being off the mark, but a first Premier League win of the season still alludes them and with the Cottagers lying bottom of the table, this is something that manager Scott Parker will have to address.
This weekend sees them go up against a Crystal Palace side, who were denied a home win over Brighton in the last minute and the Eagles have now gone three league matches without a win.
Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace
Manchester United vs Chelsea
After suffering an emphatic defeat to Tottenham, Manchester United bounced back in the best possible fashion by beating Newcastle and now they will look to use that result at St James' Park as a springboard for more positivity.
They go up against a Chelsea side who were blistering in attack last weekend, but woeful at the back and this is Achilles heel may prove to be their ultimate undoing come the end of the season.
Predictions: Manchester United 2-2 Chelsea
Liverpool vs Sheffield United
What now for Liverpool? No Allison for at least another month and no Virgil Van Dijk for what looks like the rest of the season and with the defensive spine of their team unavailable, their hopes of retaining the Premier League title have taken a major blow.
However, they should have enough attacking prowess to get the better of a Sheffield United side, who have only picked a solitary point from their first five games of the new season.
Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Sheffield United
Southampton vs Everton
The Saints have picked up seven points from the last nine that are available and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl will be pleased at the fighting spirit his players showed against Chelsea, as they managed to clinch a late point at Stamford Bridge in a 3-3 draw.
This weekend will prove to be a stern test, as they welcome the visit of early pacesetters Everton and after picking up a point against Liverpool, Carlo Ancelotti will look to his players to return to winning ways.
Prediction: Southampton 1-2 Everton
Wolves vs Newcastle
After a shaky start, the outlook suddenly looks a lot better for Wolves and after getting the better of Leeds at Elland Road on Monday night, Nuno Espirito's men now find themselves in the more familiar place of 6th in the league table.
This Sunday they play host to a Newcastle side, who folded late on at home to Manchester United and this week, manager Steve Bruce may have to address these issues on the training field.
Prediction: Wolves 2-0 Newcastle
Arsenal vs Leicester
Arsenal's head of steam was curtailed by Manchester City on Saturday, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Etihad and this means the Gunners currently find themselves on nine points after the first five games of the season.
Which is the same tally as Sunday's opponents Leicester and this means some early ground will have to give in the race for the top four, as Brendan Rodgers will look to keep his side above Arsenal in the table.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Leicester
Brighton vs West Brom
Brighton were good value for the point that they snatched at Crystal Palace last Sunday and now manager Graham Potter will be hoping that his players can put West Brom to the sword this coming Monday evening.
The Baggies have yet to earn a Premier League win this season and have earned just two points from the first 15 on offer, will a lack of goals be a constant issue for manager Slaven Bilic?
Prediction: Brighton 2-0 West Brom
Burnley vs Tottenham
Another team still looking for their first Premier League win of the season are Burnley and it is fair to say that the Clarets do not look like their usual selves, something that will be of huge concern to manager Sean Dyche.
Monday night sees them play host to a Tottenham side that threw away a 3-0 goal lead to West Ham and as long as they can sort those defensive issues out, they should return to London with a win on.
Prediction: Burnley 0-2 Tottenham
