Arsenal vs Everton
The weekend's Premier League action gets underway on Friday evening, as Arsenal play host to Everton and with the Gunners in European action, they may well decide to rest key names for the visit of the Toffees.
Should that be the case, it may help Everton's own bid to gain a place in Europe next season and with no win in their last five league outings, those hopes may have already dissipated.
Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Everton
Liverpool vs Newcastle
Liverpool start the weekend lying seventh and although there is work for Jurgen Klopp's men to be done, they are still in with a shout of reaching the Champions League season. However, they are going to have to rely on points being dropped elsewhere and a return to form themselves.
Talking of teams in form, Newcastle have certainly found some at exactly the right time and although they are not mathematically safe just yet, the Magpies can start to breathe easier.
Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle
West Ham vs Chelsea
Arguably the clash of the weekend (at least in the Premier League) and although London derbies are usually interesting, the meeting between West Ham and Chelsea is one that carries some extra Champions League spice.
After losing last weekend, hosts West Ham have been leapfrogged by visitors Chelsea and whoever comes out in top in this one, it will give their respective top four hopes a huge shot in the arm.
Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Chelsea
Sheffield United vs Brighton
Time has finally run out for Sheffield United, as their relegation to the EFL Championship has been confirmed and with the basement side still six games from the end of the season, the rest of their campaign is nothing more than a dead rubber.
Which could be good news for Brighton as they look to put even further daylight between themselves and the bottom three and one more win, will all but see them safe from the drop.
Prediction: Sheffield United 0-2 Brighton
Wolves vs Burnley
Back-to-back wins has at least given something of a spark to Wolves in recent times and although it has done little to move the needle in terms of league standing, it has at least eased any pressure on manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
This weekend his Wolves side play host to Burnley and although they are six points clear of Fulham in 18th', Sean Dyche and his players cannot consider them safe from relegation just yet.
Prediction: Wolves 1-0 Burnley
Leeds vs Manchester United
While although the fixture list has not been kind to Leeds as of late, it has not made all that much of a difference to their performances and after picking up four points from Manchester City and Liverpool, Marcelo Bielsa and his players have rightly won many plaudits.
While it's another ‘big six' test this weekend, as they play host to Manchester United and all the Red Devils can do is win and hope that their crosstown rivals drop league points along the way.
Prediction: Leeds 1-1 Manchester United
Aston Villa vs West Brom
It would be fair to suggest that Aston Villa are on the beach between now and the end of the season and although that was not the exact plan for manager Dean Smith, there is no doubt that progress has been hampered by the absence of Jack Grealish.
This Sunday sees them play host to West Brom and after their revival was ended at the hands of Leicester on Thursday, it does seem as if Big Sam may finally suffer a relegation from the top flight.
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 West Brom
Leicester vs Crystal Palace
Leicester's win over West Brom has just created a buffer over the clubs below them and with West Ham and Chelsea squaring off against each other two days before, the Foxes' clash with Crystal Palace takes on even more importance.
Dropped points will come from somewhere and if Leicester can take advantage of an all but safe Palace, it will only serve to aid Brendan Rodgers' quest to return to the Champions League.
