Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth

With such a difficult run of fixtures now behind them, Roy Hodgson's men can hope for a happier December and with the Eagles also getting the better of Burnley at the weekend, they will now look for back to back victories.

To do that, they will have to get the better of Bournemouth and with Eddie Howe's men already shipping three goals to Tottenham last Saturday, they will hope for a little bit cheer during their second trip to the capital this Tuesday.

Burnley vs Manchester City

Burnley's impressive run of form was halted by the aforementioned Crystal Palace and you would have to say that it was a particularly indifferent showing from the Clarets, something that will have manager Sean Dyche concerned.

That's because they cannot afford to play as poor in midweek, what with Manchester City coming to town and especially because they will look to take the frustration of Saturday's away draw at Newcastle, out on the next team that they face.

Leicester vs Watford

Brendan Rodgers is one of the many names that has been linked with the Arsenal job in the past few days and although you can argue that the Emirates outfit are a much bigger club, the question is why the Ulsterman would want to move on right now?

In midweek Rodgers goes up against one his former employers, who come in the shape of the Watford and they themselves are looking for a new manager at the time of writing. Will it now be third time lucky for the Hornets?

Wolves vs West Ham

Wolves extended their unbeaten Premier League run to nine games on Sunday and although there is no doubting how impressive that is, you do have to consider that the majority of those have been draws.

That said, they are still an incredibly difficult team to beat and they will look to extend that run to ten in midweek, when they play host to a West Ham side who got the better of Chelsea on Saturday. A game that saw Manuel Pellegrini mastermind a first league win for the Hammers in eight attempts.

Prediction: Wolves 1-0 West Ham

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Not many people would have envisaged a return to Old Trafford for Jose Mourinho, well at least not this soon anyway. However, Wednesday night gives us this exact scenario, as the current Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer welcomes the previous one.

Mourinho has seemingly already reignited what was an ailing Tottenham side and although they have won their last three in all competitions, their defensive frailties will be of a concern. Is this the night a clean sheet is finally earned?

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

Frank Lampard's Chelsea will now be looking over their shoulders after the managerial changes in North London and after losing their last two Premier League outings, both the man in charge and his players know that a return to winning ways is required.

They go up against an Aston Villa outfit, who are very easy on the eye when it comes to attack but this does come at the expense of defensive duties and this is something that Chelsea will look to take full advantage of.

Southampton vs Norwich

It may only be December but there is no doubt that St Mary's will be playing home to a relegation ‘six-pointer' on Wednesday night and both Southampton and Norwich know very well, that this encounter is a must win game.

For the Saints they will look to build on a slightly fortunate win over Watford on Saturday, while Norwich will be spirited by the fact that they've picked up four points from the last six on offer.

Liverpool vs Everton

Saturday afternoon saw Liverpool equal a club record by going 31 league games unbeaten and now they will look to break it. However, their Merseyside cousins Everton, would love to be the first team to inflict a defeat in eleven months.

Liverpool were not at their best at the weekend, although it is that grit and determination that keeps getting them over the line. Some more of that on Wednesday night and this Liverpool squad will have another record to call their own.

Sheffield United vs Newcastle

It looks as if Lys Mousset is the name on every Fantasy manager's lips at the moment and after being something of a flop at Bournemouth, the Blade is a sharp as ever in front of goal and this was no less evident than on Sunday, when he found the net once again.

Manager Chris Wilder will be hoping for more of the same come this Thursday, as they play host to a Newcastle outfit who managed to hold Manchester City to a draw at the weekend and subsequently scupper their hopes of a third successive league title.

Arsenal vs Brighton

Arsenal may have an interim manager in charge, but Freddie Ljungberg is not going to be able to fix things over night and this was clearly apparent on Sunday afternoon, as the Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by Norwich at Carrow Road.

The former Swedish international will hope for a first ever win on Thursday night, as they play host to a Brighton who were spirited in defeat to Liverpool on Saturday but ultimately have a very poor record away from The AMEX.
