PEARSON MAULED BY FOXES
Whether the sub-plot of this game is truly about revenge can be argued. Then again with Nigel Pearson going up against his former employers, the opportunity to get one over Leicester will certainly not be ignored.
With that said, it will be far from easy and with the Foxes aiming to secure a top four finish and a return to the Champions League, Brendan Rodgers will want his charges to pick up where they left off pre-hiatus.
Admittedly Leicester were showing signs that they were running out of steam before the pause and a period of recuperation, might just be the thing that gets Jamie Vardy and company firing on all cylinders once again.
While it is Vardy in particular that will garner the most attention this weekend, as he will be looking to solidify his place at the top of the Premier League's Golden Boot charts and add to his burgeoning tally of 19 goals.
A Vardy goal and a Leicester win are usually two connected entities and if the former comes about, the latter should get over the line and with that in mind, backing the Foxes at odds of 2.15 should be considered a rather shrewd move.
Summary: No revenge for Nigel this weekend
WILL WEE SEE GOALS AT THE AMEX?
A team that cannot win is going up against a team that does not lose on Saturday and with The AMEX offering the stage, it will see Graham Potter's Brighton go up against Mikel Arteta's in-form Arsenal.
The Seagulls have not won any of their last nine league outings and although that does make for terribly bleak reading, the East Sussex outfit are at least keeping their heads above water. Then again, it is not a run that can continue much further if at all.
They go up against an Arsenal side who have not tasted a league defeat in their last eight outings and although there have perhaps been a few too many draws within that octostreak, progress is certainly being made with the Gunners camp.
Which is why the North Londoners are the heavy favourites to leave the South Coast with all three points and subsequently pile more misery onto the shoulders of Graham Potter and his Brighton players. Something you should back at odds of 2.1
Summary: Gunners go nine unbeaten with a win.
EVERTON SPOIL THE PARTY
Should Manchester City lose to Arsenal on Wednesday, it would mean that Sunday's Merseyside derby would be set for a potential title winning party and although Liverpool would love to clinch matters on their local rivals home turf, Everton would love to scupper those plans just as much.
Everton have been revived since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti and although the new manager bounce may have eased off, they are playing with far more swagger than under the tenure of Portugal's Marco Silva.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been instrumental in Everton's increased level of output and he will be charged with playing the role of party pooper this Sunday, should the last minute invites be handed out by Jurgen Klopp and his men.
A win for the Toffees might just prove to be a step too far. However, there is always the double chance market to look at and if you think Liverpool might have to delay their title celebrations, you can back the Everton insurance policy at odds of 2.45.
Summary: Liverpool failure to win the trophy at Goodison Park
ALL SQUARE AT ST JAMES PARK
While although Newcastle is not yet sloshing around with Saudi money, the cosmopolitan dream is not far off and if a new wave of global stars are going to call Tyneside home, it means all kinds of upheaval for the current squad.
Which means, the likes of Joelinton and Martin Dubravka are playing for the livelihoods over the next six weeks or so and although they may not have enough to get the better of Sheffield United, they could be good value for a draw.
With the Blades having to play twice this week, there is the potential for them to be a little leggy in this one and therefore a share of the points at St James' Park might just be the shrewd move in this one. Especially, with the odds being 3.20 for it to happen.
Summary: Back all square in this one.
