Goalkeeper Tips
We start our tips in Barcelona and with the Chilean keeper
Claudio Bravo (MG:9.6m, FB:6.5m). Now Barcelona have conceded 11 goals and have looked a little shaky at the back, but Bravo has been in superb form. He really excels when it comes to reaction saves and shot stopping, Barcelona may have conceded more than they one last weekend against Rayo Vallecano if it wasn't for him.
Sevilla started the season horrifically but seem to have turned a corner. This weekend they welcome a Getafe side who have only scored one goal away from home this season. This obviously makes for good reading for Sevilla keeper
Sergio Rico (MG: 6.1m, FB:5.0m) who will be looking to keep a clean sheet.
Defender Tips
The Barcelona defence looks a solid option for this weekends games. They welcome Eibar a side they have never conceded against.
Javier Mascherano (MG:9.7m, FB:6.0m) is expected to play in midfield making him a good out of position player for the weekend. Another appealing Barcelona defender is
Gerard Pique (MG: 8.9m, FB:7.0m), who will be looking to score more than the 1.84 points he recorded last week.
Elsewhere
Fernando Navarro (MG:7.5m, FB:4.5m), could be a useful defender for the weekend's games. Deportivo have looked a good defensive side so far, not outstanding but they've been good enough to impress. They come up against a Malaga side that look really short of goals and to be honest, it's hard to see where they will come from. Obviously this is good news for the Deportivo defence and Navarro himself. The Spaniard will be looking to get forward and provide an assist or possibly notch a goal.
Despite winning last weekend Nuno and his Valencia side were booed off at the Mestalla Stadium. Confidence between the fans and the players seems to be low and this is something Diego Simeone will without a doubt be hoping to exploit. We all know how defensively tight Simone's side are both
Diego Godin (MG: 8.6m, FB:7.0m) and
Jose Gimenez (MG: 8.6m, FB:6.5m) look good bets for this weekend's fixtures.
Attacking Potential
1. Barcelona
2. Real Madrid
3. Sevilla
4. Atletico Madrid
5. Villareal
Midfielder Tips
Ivan Rakitic (MG:10.7m, FB:10.0m) grabbed two goals in the midweek Champions League win over BATE and will be eager to continue his form going into the match against Eibar. The Croatian midfielder should also have grabbed a goal against Rayo Vallecano but his finish didn't match his clever run. It's healthy to see a player who not only makes goals for himself but also his team mates, Rakitic possess this ability and can lay on an effortless pass for a team mate with ease.
Although traditionally a defensive midfielder,
Vicente Iborra (MG:5.1m, FB:6.0m) has been putting in some impressive performances just behind the striker. This season he has one goal and one assist, but without a doubt he should have more of both. He's a very talented player whose a clever finisher but can also fulfil his defensive responsibilities. Sevilla host Getafe this weekend and it's fair to say that Fran Escribá's side have been poor on the road.
Next up is Villarreal's
Manu Trigueros (MG: 6.7m, FB:6.0m) who plays in central midfield for the yellow submarine. He brings composure to the midfield and controls the tempo of the game as well as taking some set pieces. Manager Marcelino chose to only give his midfielder 28 minutes in the 4-0 Europa League win over Dinamo Minsk allowing Trigueros to be fit and ready for this weekends game against Las Palmas, a side who have lost their last three games.
Real Sociedad have been very poor this season and manager David Moyes is under a lot of pressure going into the weekends match against Levante. Although they will be on the road surely, SURELY he has to get a win there? Levante have conceded 12 goals in their last five games making
Sergio Canales (MG:6.5m, FB:6.0m) look an appealing option. The ex Real Madrid man is yet to record either an assist or a goal this season but he is a very clever player and brings a lot to the table when given the chance to express himself.
Forward Tips
Once again we our first tip for forwards on the weekend is
Neymar (MG;17.0m, FB; 14.0m) the Brazilian forward is hitting some serious form at the moment last weekend he scored four goals against Rayo Vallecano as well as the assist for the fifth. It's very hard to ignore Barcelona in the attacking department as they create a lot of chances, it's Neymar who jumps of the page to us. He really seems to have taken on the onus of both scoring and creating goals from Lionel Messi. He should be looking to add to his tally against Eibar come Saturday.
Another player making a repeat appearance is
Antoine Griezmann (MG;9.4m, FB;12.5m.) His goal last week was fantastic, the Frenchman picked up the ball on the half way line before running the whole length of the pitch and dinking the ball over the Real Sociedad keeper. It's an old cliché but he seems to be getting better and better
A good differential option for the weekend is
Cedric Bakambu (MG:3.7m, FB:7.5m). the striker scored two goals in the midweek win over Dinamo Minsk but has struggled to score consistently in the league. He is expected to start next to Roberto Soldado against a poor Las Palmas defence.
Finally is
Ruben Castro (MG:11.1, FB:8.5m) and like a fine wine, he gets better with age! The 34-year-old has scored four goals in eight games this season and will be aiming to make that five against Granada. José Ramón Sandoval's side have conceded 16 goals in La Liga this season, the highest in the league.
Good luck this weekend and join us next week for another round of La Liga Daily Fantasy Football Tips.
