Gameweek 8 FPL Tips Daily Fantasy Football

Share post on:
Welcome back to another Daily Fantasy Football tips article. Last week we saw Alexis Sanchez pick up his first hat trick of the season whilst both Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney finally ended their goal droughts. Unfortunately for a lot of FPL and DFF managers their patience with the pair had already run thin and they were already out the door. We aim to bring you Daily Fantasy Football Tips focusing on both the daily games provided by MondoGoal and FantasyBet. The tips can also be used for FPL.

Fixtures

Saturday 3rd October: Crystal Palace v West Brom Aston Villa v Stoke Bournemouth v Watford Manchester City v Newcastle Norwich v Leicester Sunderland v West Ham Chelsea v Southampton Sunday 4th October: Everton v Liverpool Arsenal v Manchester United Swansea v Tottenham

Clean Sheet Potential

The bookies across the country are indicating that, Manchester City, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Arsenal are the five most teams likely to keep a clean sheet this weekend. You should consider this when selecting your team(s).

Goalkeeper Tips

Last weekend Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini chose to pick Willy Cabellaero over Joe Hart (FPL; 5.7m MondoGoal; 7.7m FantasyBet; 5.5m) that decision backfired as the Argentine didn't really put in an eye-catching performance. Hart will no doubt be back in the Manchester City side this weekend and his midweek performance against Gladbach had many positives. He saved a penalty and looked to show no signs of his “injury” that kept him out of the Spurs game. One of the most impressive keepers this season has been Jack Butland (FPL; 4.5m MondoGoal; 8.4mFantasyBet; 4.5m) the Stoke shot stopped currently has the most saves in the Premier League with 35, six more than second placed Tim Krul. This could really benefit both your FPL sides and your DFF sides as if Stoke do concede Butland could pick up some bonus points for making saves.

Defender Tips

Every year we seem to find an out of position player that works wonders for both FPL and DFF sides. This seasons player is Eric Dier (FPL; 5.1m MondoGoal; 8.9m FantasyBet; 5.0m) although listed as a defender on FPL he actually plays in midfield for Spurs. So why would this benefit you? Well, obviously he will be playing further up the field, this means if he contributes a goal or an assist he is going to get more points than he actually should. He currently has two goals to his name this season including that fantastic finish against Manchester City last week. It's a little bit risky going for a Chelsea defender considering their form, but Cesar Azpillicueta (FPL; 6.0m MondoGoal; 8.9m FantasyBet; 6.0m) has probably been the highlight of Chelsea's defence. “Dave” as he is affectionately known has been solid as ever this season and although he doesn't contribute much going forwards he is a probably the only guaranteed starter in the Chelsea defence. He has chipped in with one goal and an assist this season but his strengths lie more in his defensive game. This will benefit you on the daily game as bonus points are awarded for tackles won. Finally completing the defender tips is Aaron Cresswell (FPL; 5.6m MondoGoal; 7.1m FantasyBet; 5.5m) West Ham are a very hard side to predict. One week they are beating Manchester City away and the next they are being held to a draw against Norwich. This weekend they will travel north to face the Premier League's bottom side Sunderland, a game Slaven Bilic will be looking to keep a clean sheet in.

Attacking Potential

Looking back and the bookies odds, they are suggesting that, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Norwich and Crystal Palace are the five most likely teams to score this weekend. It wouldn't be the worst idea to form the basis of your attack around these teams.

Midfielder Tips

Nathan Redmond (FPL; 5.7m MondoGoal; 10.4m FantasyBet; 5.5m) has been one of the shining lights of Norwich City's Premier League campaign. He has caused opposition defenders all sorts of problems and his pace and creativity is a vital part of Norwich's game. He was benched last weekend and despite only playing 22 minutes he ended up scoring taking his season total to three goals. It's no secret that Leicester are weak at the back they've conceded in every league game this season. Juan Mata (FPL; 8.8m MondoGoal; 13.2m FantasyBet; 8.5m) is getting better and better this season. Hands up whose had the vine of his assist to Smalling against Wolfsburg on repeat! That's exactly what Mata brings to the table, he may not be the quickest player but he is one of the most creative. He has three assists to his name this season along with three goals. He's hitting form and that is something you could use to your advantage. Manchester City have looked a different side without David Silva (FPL; 10.1m MondoGoal; 13.3m FantasyBet 10.0m) but it looks as if the little magician is once again fit and ready to help Manchester City fight for the Premier League title. He started in the midweek win over Monchengladbach and will be hoping to inject some more creativity into the City side. As we know Newcastle are not the best defensive side in the league and Silva will be looking to exploit that by picking up little pockets of space and either creating a goal scoring chance of finishing one himself. It's very hard to stay away from Theo Walcott (FPL; 8.5m MondoGoal; 11.8m FantasyBet; 8.5m) as he is an out of position player. Arsene Wenger seems to have finally granted Walcott his wish by playing him as a striker and so far he has been clinical. In his last 20 he has scored 16 goals that includes two this season. His pace is going to be vital in exposing the Manchester United back line but we see no reason as to why he won't be on the scoresheet this weekend. It's fair to say that Crystal Palace are a very entertaining side to watch. Their tricky winger Wilfried Zaha (FPL; 5.4m MondoGoal; 5.3m FantasyBet; 5.5m) is a massive reason for this. His trickery and flair combined with a fantastic turn of pace makes Crystal Palace an attacking threat whenever he gets on the ball. Last weekend he picked up his first assist of the season after Nyom fouled him in the penalty box. This acceleration is going to cause a relatively slow West Brom back line problems this weekend.

Forward Tips

West Brom's Saido Berahino (FPL; 6.2m MondoGoal: 6.8m FantasyBet; 6.5m) the striker took to twitter during the transfer window to announce “I will never play Jeremy Peace again” and whilst I'm sure none of us will also never play Jeremy Peace, I'm also confident Berhaino meant he would never play for West Brom again. Well he went back on his word and has since scored goals against Aston Villa and Everton. He will be looking for his third goal in three games this weekend against Crystal Palace. Finally it's Sergio Aguero (FPL; 13.2m MondoGoal; 11.9m FantasyBet; 13.0m) will be hoping the end his goal drought this weekend when Manchester City welcome Newcastle. As previously mentioned Newcastle are very poor defensively, this will without doubt benefit the little Argentine as his clever movement is bound to create space for goal scoring chances. In the last couple of games Aguero has struggled to find the back of the net and should have had at least three goals in the midweek Champions League tie. He should come back with a bang come Saturday.
