Welcome back to our Ligue 1 Fantasy Football Tips provided by NaturalFootballFan.
Gameweek 10's Tips brought about a mixed bag of results on
Mondogoal. 4 out of 5 of our clubs listed for Cleansheet Potential secured just that, while 4 out of 5 of our clubs listed for Attacking Potential, got on the scoresheet.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was our headline tip and he all but silenced the doubters with his second brace in succession, to pick up 21.02 points on
Mondogoal. We placed our faith in Michy Batshuayi to complete our forward line and he also delivered with 13.4 points after converting from the penalty spot.

Goalkeeper Tips
The obvious and perhaps the most reliable choice on
Mondogoal this weekend is
Kevin Trapp (10.8m). Despite his hefty price tag, the Paris Saint-Germain keeper has raked in an average of 13.5 points in his last 3 competitive fixtures and was impressive midweek vs. Real Madrid. If you have the budget available then it's a simple decision to include the German, however, there are definitely better value keepers on this slate.
One of these is
Cedric Carrasso (6.9m). Bordeaux look to have turned a corner and are beginning to appear more assured at the back and when playing against a Troyes side that have failed to score in 6 of their last 8 matches in Ligue 1 Carrasso offers a brilliant alternative. It could be the difference between selecting Ibrahimovic and Carrasso or go without the big Swede and bank on Trapp's exploits; we know which option appeals to us most, but of course at
Mondogoal it's YOU who makes the final call.
Defender Tips
Having watched PSG's no-score stalemate with Champions League holders Real Madrid on Wednesday, first of all, we feel it's necessary to include one of their defenders. The premium option with 3 goals and 2 assists in all competitions this season is Serge Aurier; nevertheless 11.8m is a ridiculous price for a defender, so instead we advise selecting
Marquinhos (9.5m). The Brazilian impressed midweek and looks set, with David Luis' injury, to continue in the heart of defence alongside Thiago Silva. Against Real Madrid Marquinhos made 6 successful tackles, 2 interceptions and completed 51 passes, so when fielded vs. Saint Etienne, we expect even better results. PSG have retained a cleansheet in 4 of their last 5 meetings with ‘The Greens', so another looks on the cards.
Angers have kept a cleansheet in their last 3 Ligue 1 matches and have conceded just a single goal more than reigning Champions PSG this season. With this in mind we took a look at their backline and the player who stood out and appealed to us most on
Mondogoal was left-back
Yoann Andreu (7.9m). Many will argue that Romain Saiss is the better option due to the likelihood of him playing in midfield, however, he commits 2 fouls per game on average and has already received 4 bookings; a risk not worth taking. Andreu, on the other hand, is much more grounded and offers more attacking potenital on
Mondogoal, as he's not restricted to protecting the back 4. Hopefully, Angers can keep up their stubbornness at the back, which has seen them concede just 2 goals in their previous 6 fixtures.
Attacking Potential
- Paris Saint-Germain
- Bordeaux
- Nice
- Montpellier
- Angers
Midfielder Tips
Joint top scorer Hatem
Ben Arfa (7.8m) has been Ligue 1's rising star this season. After 5 frustrating years in England, with spells at Newcastle United and Hull City, the controversial figure has rediscovered his form that first saw him called up for France, back in 2007. On
Mondogoal it is paramount that you select players with high confidence and with 5 goals in his last 3 appearances Ben Arfa fits the bill perfectly. Nice have scored more goals than any other side in Ligue 1 this season, with Ben Arfa contributing to 29% of them. Facing GFC Ajaccio, who have a goal difference of -11, we are backing the visitors to continue their goal spree, with Ben Arfa as the catalyst. In our opinion he is undervalued, so why not take advantage of this opportunity before it passes.
Another midfielder who has motivation to perform this weekend is Bordeaux's
Wahbi Kharzi (11.1m). The Algerian playmaker was thrown into Europa League action on the 64th minute in Bordeaux's clash with FC Sion on Thursday, but left the field just 21 minutes later, having received a second yellow. Although his appearance did not go to plan, it does, however, mean that he is fresh for the match vs. Troyes. Kharzi has been his side's top performer this season with 4 goals and 5 assists so far this season. He has also, on average per game, taken 1.7 shots, made 3.6 key passes (most in Ligue 1 this season), attempted 2.2 dribbles and won 1.7 fouls, to add to his
Mondogoal armoury. The hosts are unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 Ligue 1 matches at the Nouveau Stade and Kharzi will be desperate to compensate for his immature behaviour in midweek.
Forward Tips
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (16.3m) bagged his second consecutive brace to maintain PSG's comfortable 5-point gap at the top of the table in Gameweek 10 and nothing looks like stopping him now. He will now set his sights on the Ligue 1 top goal-scorer summit, trailing by a single goal as we speak. It's hard to turn down PSG week-in-week-out, for our recommendations and having scored at least 2 goals in their last 12 home matches in Ligue 1, Ibrahimovic is again the headline act. He has happy memories vs. Saint-Etienne at home with 8 goals, which included back-to-back hat-tricks, in his last 3 meetings. If that's not enough motive to include him in your
Mondogoal side, you must really loathe the forward.
To round off our tips for Gameweek 11 we are going with
Majeed Waris (7.8m) of FC Lorient. The Ghanaian returns from International duty and should slot straight back into the starting XI. Lorient are always a strong outfit when playing on home soil, scoring 8 in their last 3 matches at the Stade du Moustoir, with Waris grabbing 3 for himself. The explosive forward has always been a solid choice for us; he plays on the last man and with his acceleration, he regularly pops up in 1-on-1 situations. With 3 shots per game on average, Waris picks up steady points on
Mondogoal without even finding the net, but nevertheless, with 3 goals in his last 3 home matches we are optimistic that we wont have to resort to this. A great differential with the potential to score big in Gameweek 11.
