Fantasy Serie A Tips For Daily Fantasy Football Betting: Gameweek 37

Share post on:
Welcome to another Serie A Fantasy Football article. Tom Daniels picks out his top 5 fantasy tips for Gameweek 37. Gameweek 36 ended Inter Milan's slim hopes of Champions League football. The Milan club needed a miracle to catch up to Roma who were 7 points behind them. However not only did Roma walk out 3-2 victory against Genoa, but also Inter Milan lost 2-0 to Lazio. Fiorentina also failed to get a win after they could only managed to get a 0-0 draw against Chievo. This gives Sassuolo a slight chance to claim 5th spot. The European hopefuls are currently 5 points off Fiorentina with 2 games to go. Probably the best performance of the week goes to Palermo's impressive 2-0 victory over Sampdoria. Thanks to and own goals and a goal from Vazquez the relegation side are now only in the bottom 3 on goal difference alone. Finally Torino have managed to climb into the top half of the table due to their dominating 5-1 display over Udinese. Here are our top five tips for Gameweek 36 all of our player prices are from our partners at Mondogoal, who provide daily Fantasy Football contests for a variety of European leagues.

Fixtures

Saturday 7th May Inter Milan vs. Empoli Bologna vs. AC Milan Sunday 8th May Roma vs. Chievo Atalanta vs. Udinese Carpi vs. Lazio Fiotentina vs. Palermo Frosinone vs. Sasuolo Sampdoria vs. Genoa Torino vs. Napoli Verona vs. Juventus

Tip 1 A goal for the departing Luca Toni.

On Sunday Luca Toni will kick the last ball of his career as he has announced his retirement. The veteran Striker has scored more than 100 goals for a variety of Italian teams and it could mean that Toni will strike once again in his last game ever. While it may be a long shot for it to happen if it does then you are bound to gain some valuable points for cheaper striking option. The Verona team will be playing around Toni in the hope he can score against his former club. The major downfall is that his former club is Juventus and so it could be a risk putting Toni in as Juventus do have the best defence in the league. However crazier things have happen this season.

Tip 2  Palermo to shock Fiotentina.

A couple of weeks ago this match would have gone in Fiorentina's favour but Palermo's reassurance in recent weeks could give the relegation side an unlikely victory. Fiorentina have been in horrific form as of late having only won 1 of their last 6 games. With their inability to hit the back of the net being a major problem for the side sitting in 5th. On the other hand Palermo have been excellent up front scoring 6 goals in their last 3 games. So for this game we recommend Alberto Gilardino as the man you should put in your team. Gilardino has, in recent weeks, been the centrepiece of Palermo's success. The 33 year old has scored and assisted in the last two games. With his current tally at 9 this season he will look to increase that by the end of the season and, with the form he is on it is very likely that he will. It may also be worth putting Stefano Sorrentino in your team as the goalkeeper has managed to keep 2 clean sheets in Palermo's last 2 games.

Tip 3 Sassuolo to put pressure on Fiorentina.

Sassuolo face Frosinone on Sunday and both teams will know that a victory is vital. Sassuolo know that a victory will keep their hopes of European football alive whereas Frosinone know that a victory could keep them in the Serie A. Since both teams will be going all out to secure a victory it could be a scrappy match and in previous games between the 2 there have been 5 red cards in 6 games. If Sassuolo play their best then they should win but sometimes you don't know what Sassuolo team is going to play. The match will depend on the performance of Francesco Magnanelli and Domenico Berardi. If these two men perform then they should win the match easily. Magnanelli has been the spine of the Sassuolo team and when he doesn't perform well then his team suffers. The same is with Berardi who at the beginning of the season had massive expectations but has failed to live up to them. If you believe that Sassuolo will win then having Berardi and Magnanelli in your team would be a wise move.

Tip 4 Udinese to secure their safety.

Udinese have had a rocky couple of weeks however they will know that a victory tomorrow guarantees that they will not be put into a relegation battle next week. This Gameweek they face Atalanta, a team who have already secured their place in the Serie A. Udinese will want to avoid a meltdown after they have suffered 2 defeats in a row. Probably the more shocking of the 2 would be their 5-1 thrashing against Torino. Will this in mind we recommend that Bruno Fernandes will be the man to help Udinese return to winning ways. The Portuguese Midfielder has been Udinese's best player in 2016 and despite his team conceding 8 goals in 2 games he was one of the best players for the team. With 2 goals and 2 assists in 4 games the midfielder has proven that he can prove and score. Fernandes will also be against an Atalanta team that has already secured their spot in the Serie A and have nothing to play for.

Tip 5 Napoli to beat Torino.

Torino vs Napoli will probably be the match of the week in the Serie A due to both claiming brilliant victories. Coming into the game Torino are the inform team having only lost 2 of their last 6, whereas Napoli have lost 3 and won 3. However it's hard to see Torino continue their terrific form with Gonzalo Higuain leading the line for Napoli. Any doubt that Higuain will start to decline after his injury where immediately gone after he bagged a brace in their 2-1 game over Atalanta. With the argentine back for Napoli they look like a force again and unfortunately Torino are not strong enough to contain him. If you cannot afford Higuain it may be wise to look at Jose Callejon as a replacement. The versatile player was terrific for Napoli in his last game setting up a goal for Higuain.
