Fantasy Serie A Tips For Daily Fantasy Football Betting: Gameweek 35

Share post on:
Welcome to another Serie A Fantasy Football article. Tom Daniels picks out his top 5 fantasy tips for Gameweek 35. Gameweek 34 was an up and down week for the top teams in the division. Juventus, Roma and Napoli all remain in the top 3 after all winning their game. However Fiorentina, Sassuolo and both Milan teams failed to win their games. This now gives in-form Chievo a chance to possibly slip into the European places as they are 5 points off 6th placed AC Milan. Juventus and Napoli strolled through their games against Lazio and Bologna. For Roma though it took a familiar face to come off the bench and secure them the victory against Torino. Totti was sent on in the 85th minute and managed to score in the 86th and 89th minute to win the game for his side. At the bottom of the table none of the bottom 4 managed to claim the all-important 3 points. Carpi however did secure an impressive 0-0 draw again AC Milan. With Verona losing 1-0 to Empoli it looks like their chance of survival is slim and it's only a matter of time before they enter the Serie B. Here are our top five tips for Gameweek 35 all of our player prices are from our partners at Mondogoal, who provide daily Fantasy Football contests for a variety of European leagues.

Fixtures

Saturday 23rd April Inter Milan VS. Udinese Sunday 24th April Frosinone vs. Palermo Atalanta vs. Chievo  Bologna vs. Genoa  Sampdoria vs. Lazio  Torino vs. Sassuolo  Fiorentina vs. Juventus Monday 25th April Roma vs. Napoli Verona vs. Milan  Carpi vs. Empoli

Tip 1 AC Milan to relegate Verona

After a small fightback over a month ago it looks like Verona will be playing in the Serie B next season. They know that unless they can get a victory today then they will more than likely be relegated. However this does mean that Verona will give it everything they have got.  It's important to note that Verona have secured 2 draws in their last 2 games against each other. But with AC Milan still trying to secure European qualification for next season it looks unlikely that a draw is on the cards on Monday. We recommend that you give Giacomo Bonaventura (10.7m) a chance in your team despite his recent run of form. Bonaventura has only scored 1 and assisted 1 in his last 9 Serie A games, however he previous run of form was remarkable for the Milan side. Considering AC Milan are against weaker opposition Bonaventura would love to regain his run of form that had AC Milan targeting a European place this season.  In all competitions the Italian is AC Milan's top provider with 8 goals and against a notably shocking defence, Bonanventura could make that tally rise with a win on Monday.

Tip 2 Chievo to beat Atalanta

Chievo have their eyes set on achieving their highest finish in the Serie A since they re-joined the league in the 2008/09 season. Having been a team that is generally closer to the relegation places than European football Chievo have really out done themselves in recent weeks.  The team, currently situated in 8th, have won four of their last 5 matches and average a very good 2 goals a game in those five games. One thing to be weary off is the chance of red cards so it may be best to avoid picking any midfield players in this match. In the last 6 games between the 2 sides there have been 15 yellow cards and 4 red cards. With all this in mind we recommend that you put Simone Pepe (6.1m) and Valter Birsa (7.5m) in your team if you have enough confidence in Chievo. Pepe put in a five star performance in Chievo's 5-1 demolition job of Frosinone as he assisted 2 goals in that game. While the former Juventus man has not been given too much time it seems that he may get the chance to continue where he left off on Wednesday. Birsa on the other hand was left out of the squad on Wednesday as the probably felt they didn't need him to be on the pitch, they were right to think that. However fully expect him to be back in the line-up. Birsa has been talked about through most of my articles and with 6 goals and 7 assists he is rightfully given the praise he deserves.

Tip 3 Genoa to punish Bologna

Bologna cannot seem to get a victory, with a record of 9 game 5 loses 4 draws it's easy to see why they are slowly getting dragged into a late relegation battle. A 6-0 loss against Napoli is poor but adding that to losses against Verona and Atalanta in a month must worry Bologna fans. Genoa on the other hand are comfortably mid-table and have no worries about relegation what so ever. After a poor 2015, Genoa managed to steady themselves and have only lost 6 times in 2016. Considering 3 of those teams where Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan it's fair to say that Genoa fans are certainly happy with their recent ability to win against the teams around them. We don't expect there to be a huge amount of goals in this game so we recommend Ezequiel Munoz (7.0m) to be solid at the back and provide a clean sheet for Genoa. With Munoz hasn't been the first name on the team sheet that might change after his man of the match performance against Inter Milan on Wednesday. The argentine managed to hold back a strong Inter Milan attack and provide the much needed clean sheet at Genoa won 1-0. To partner Munoz I would also put Sabastien De Maio (6.9m) in your team, but only if you believe that Genoa will get a clean sheet. De Maio was not really known for his defending on Wednesday as the centre back scored the goal that toppled Inter Milan (his 1st of the season). While it may be a gamble putting your faith in two centre backs, if it all pays off then you are certain to shine as you get those clean sheet bonuses.

Tip 4 Juventus to overpower Fiorentina

It looks like Juventus are on their way to another Serie A title. The team looks strong in every position and, without the stress of European football Juventus have just pushed hard and made their way back to the top, where they will win the title by what looks like a big margin. However it is important not to count Fiorentina out, they have been a very attacking side this season and currently sit in 5th in the Serie A. Juventus's defence will definitely be tested but it could prove to be for nothing. Juventus have only conceded 17 goals in the Serie A this season. Not only is that the best in the league but it is the 3rd best in the top 5 divisions in Europe (only behind Atletico Madrid with 16 and Bayern Munich with 14). So there is only one name that we insist you put in your team this Gameweek and that is Gianluigi Buffon (10.7m). The Veteran keeper proves that age is just a number, especially if you're a goalkeeper for one of the best defensives in Europe. Juventus have kept a clean sheet in 13 of their last 15 Serie A matches and against a Fiorentina side that has only won 1 in 6 the writing already seems to be on the wall.

Tip 5 Belotti to shine against Sassuolo

Torino as a team have been very inconsistent, but if there is one man who has always performed it's Andrea Belotti (8.6m). The Italian forward has scored 11 goals for Torino this season and has even provided 4 for his team. He has been Torino's best player this season and he is only 22 years old. Belotti has scored 4 goals in his last 5 games and would have been named man of the match against Roma if Totti didn't score 2 goals as a substitute. It's fair to say that while Torino may not win this match, goals are certain to occur and if the goals are going Torino's way then Belotti will be the man to score them.
