Welcome to another Serie A Fantasy Football article. Tom Daniels picks out his top 5 fantasy tips for Gameweek 34.
Gameweek 33 was a week to forget for Napoli as a 2-0 loss to Inter Milan has given Juventus a 9 point lead with only 5 games to go. Juventus created that 9 point gap thanks to an emphatic 4-0 victory over Palermo. The game of the week probably went to the 3-3 draw between Atalanta and Roma. Roma led by two goals in the 27
th minute but by the 50
th they were 3-2 down. However club legend Totti appeared in the 85
th minute to save Roma and halt Atalanta's shock victory. Elsewhere Verona's fairy-tale escape took a massive hit as they lost 2-1 to fellow strugglers Frosinone, leaving the bottom club 9 points from safety. Fiorentina recorded their first victory since February against Sassuolo 3-1 and Lazio managed to overcome Empoli 2-0 as they still push up the table.

Tip 1 - Atalanta to overpower Palermo.
Atalanta could make survival guaranteed with a win against Palermo on Wednesday. However if that is what happens the Palermo could be in serious trouble if they want to remain in the Serie A. In terms of stats Atalanta have been the more successful over Palermo having beat them 4 times in their last 6 meetings. The only issue is that Atalanta are very prone to get a red card in this game having had 3 red cards in six games against Palermo. We recommend that you put
Alejandro Gomez in your squad as the argentine has been a pivotal part of Atalanta's campaign. With 7 goals and 5 assists Gomez has been a real point giver and it doesn't look like its stopping anytime soon.
Tip 2 - Inter Milan to push for 3rd.
Inter Milan currently are 4
th and are now only 4 points of Roma due to brilliant performance against Napoli. Momentum is certainly on Inter Milan's side and with Genoa losing 4-1 to relegation strugglers Carpi this could be the worst time to face the Milan side. Genoa will be without Key defender
Armando Izzo due to him getting sent off against Carpi. This will give Inter Milan's attacking players to have an easier chance to grab some goals. With this in mind we recommend
Mauro Icardi as we feel this striker will yet again hit the back of the net. The striker had a brilliant showing against Napoli with a goal and an assist and against a weakened Capri Icardi can cause even more damage. We also recommend that you give
Marcelo Brozovic a chance in your fantasy teams. The midfielder put on a mesmerising performance against Napoli and has been one of the most consistent players in the Milan team. He is also capable of getting a goal or providing an assist with 8 goals and 3 assists to his name in all competitions.
Tip 3 - Sansone to shine against Sampdoria.
Despite having lost their last 2 games
Nicola Sansone could be the man to turn Sassuolo's fortunes around. Sassuolo's last victory was against Carpi and Sansone claimed the man of the match with a goal and 2 assists. If the Italian can repeat that performance against Sampdoria then the attacking midfielder can certainly bag you some points. It is also important to note that last year's fixture between the two teams ended 3-1 with Sansone putting in an excellent performance in which he played a vital part in the build up play.
Tip 4 - Roma to be held by Torino.
Roma seem to be faltering as of late having drawn their last 2 games and, while we don't see them losing to Torino, we can certainly see a draw on the cards. In the last 6 games Torino have failed to beat Torino in the Serie A. However they have drawn 3 of the six games (all three of which have been 1-1). Torino have also hit a late run of form winning 3 games in a row including a victory over Inter Milan. This match will be highly contested in the midfield and so we recommend Torino's
Bruno Peres or Roma's
Miralem Pjanic. Peres has been a solid defensive wide midfielder for Torino this season and this Man of the match performance against Atalanta was fully deserved considering the effort the player has been putting in. Last week against Bologna as well he against played very well stopping Bologna scoring as they grinded out a 1-0 result. Pjanic is a midfielder that really speaks for himself. If it wasn't for Pogba he could be considered as the best midfielder in the Serie A. It all depends on the budget you have left, if you're willing to spend then Pjanic is worth the money. However if you look for a bargain then Peres is your man.
Tip 5 - Chievo to thrash Frosinone.
Chievo have not lost in 5 games and are looking to make it 6 as they continue their rise up the table. Frosinone are currently struggling at the Serie A in 18
th but know that a victory would take them out of the relegation places. For this game we recommend
Valter Birsa as the versatile player has proven that he really can do it all. With 6 goals and 7 assists he has been a key part in Cheivo's rise to the top half of the Serie A. Frosinone's inability to stop goals going in is also a major factor having conceded 61 goals this season (the joining highest in the league).
