Fantasy Serie A Tips For Daily Fantasy Football Betting: April 2/3

Share post on:
Welcome to another Serie A Fantasy Football article. Tom Daniels picks out his top 5 fantasy tips for Gameweek 31. Gameweek 30 well and truly created a 2 horse race as the Serie A reaches the home stretch. Both Napoli and Juventus breezed past their games against Genoa and Torino, with Roma also failing to secure a victory it puts the club 10 points off 1st place. But what was Roma's loss was certainly Inter Milan's gain. Inter Milan managed to draw against Roma to help the Milan side push for a champions league place. Fiorentina also had the opportunity to put pressure on Roma but they failed to secure a victory also as they drew 0-0 to Frosinone. Surprisingly only 3 teams currently in the top 10 where victorious in their game. Chievo managed to move into 9th after a hard fought 1-0 victory away against Sampdoria. Carpi managed to beat Verona 2-1 in the relegation battle. With 8 games to go Carpi move out of the relegation zone thanks to goals from Di Gaudio and Lasagna. Here are our top five tips for Gameweek 30 all of our player prices are from our partners at Mondogoal, who provide daily Fantasy Football contests for a variety of European leagues.

Fixtures

Saturday 2nd April Carpi vs. Sassuolo Juventus vs, Empoli Sunday 3rd March Udinese vs. Napoli Atalanta vs. AC Milan Chievo vs. Palermo Fiorentina vs. Sampdoria Genoa vs. Frosinone Lazio vs. AS Roma Inter Milan vs. Torino Monday 4th March Bologna vs. Verona

Handanovic to claim the man of the match.

Samir Handanovic (£7.1m) has arguably been one of the best goalkeepers this season despite have an inconsistent defence to back him up. However against a Torino side that is reasonably comfortable in the Serie A we recommend that Handanovic be the main you have in between the goalposts. Handanovic has kept 13 clean sheets this season, more than any other keeper for Sunday's games, and is likely to pick up another as he players a Torino side that lacks ambition and motivation to continue. Torino where brushed aside 4-1 last Gameweek and the team seems to be settling for a lower table finish. However Inter Milan will want to push for a result here and the man who could prove to be pivotal Handanovic in net. It may also be wise to invest in Ivan Perisic (£8.7m) as the midfielder has scored 3 in his last 3 games.

Juventus to dominate Empoli.

Juventus will be without several key players against Empoli, however the strength of the Juventus side should still be enough to secure a comfortable victory. We recommend that Paul Pogba (£10.8m) is a must buy against Empoli given his recent rise in form. Pogba's agent has recently come out stating he is happy at Juventus and, with the possibility of a new contract being signed, it is sure to fill Juventus fans with confidence. On the Pitch Pogba has also been impressing as of late scoring a brilliant 24.25 points in his last match against Torino. Alongside that Pogba also has the second highest average points per game for any Juventus player with 8.63. However with Khedira out it may be a possible return that helps Juventus claim the victory. The possible return of Giorgio Chiellini (£8.9m) could provide Juventus with a solid backline capable of holding any attack Empoli has to offer. However it is unsure whether the Italian will start even if he is fully fit.

Look towards Salah for Roma coverage.

Mohamed Salah (£10.7m) is arguably in the form of his life, and while the stats may not show this the Egyptian is long overdue another goal. Salah had a goal disallowed for offside last game week and was one of few positives in a lack lustre team. However Roma will definitely want to distance themselves from the Europa League spots. But to do that Salah will have to perform his best against a difficult Lazio side. In Salah's last 3 games he has failed to hit the back of the net but with two of those games being against Real Madrid and Inter Milan the stats maybe don't justify his performance. Against Inter Milan he had a goal disallowed and also against Udinese he still managed to score a respectable 8.58 points. Salah's goal scoring record for a midfielder speaks for itself as he has 11 goals this campaign. It's also interesting to note that Salah is also a provider as well. The former Chelsea man has assisted a reasonable 4 goals for Roma this season.

A clean sheet for Genoa.

Genoa go into Sunday's game knowing that a clean sheet should be enough to keep them in the Serie A this season. So they will do everything in their power to maintain a strong backline. However they face a Frosinone team that will try their hardest to claim a vital victory. With all this in mind this tip is very risky but we recommend that either Nicolas Burdisso (£6.9m) or Armando Izzo (£8.5m) go into your fantasy team. Burdisso has the highest clean sheet total in the Genoa team with a respectable 8 and has been a fairly consistent performer for Genoa against the smaller teams. Izzo however has been one of Genoas best defenders this season. Despite having 1 clean sheet less that Burdisso the defender has out pointed Burdisso in every step of the way and if the money is there to spend we would recommend Izzo over Burdisso. Frosinone have managed to score 3 goals in five games but those three goals have come against teams lower than Genoa in the league (1 against Carpi and 2 against Udinese). So while Frosinone can score against teams in a similar position to them they seem to struggle against teams higher up in the table.

Chievo to push for a top half finish.

Chievo this season have a golden opportunity to get a decent finish in the Serie A this season. However they need to beat a struggling Palermo side if they want to remain in the top half. The game will ultimately be determined by the performances of Valter Birsa (£7.1m) and Riccardo Meggiorini (£5.5m). These two have been, in recent weeks, the star men for Chievo and last week's victory against Sampdoria proved that. Meggiorini has recently come back into the Chievo team following a bad run of form but against AC Milan he looked sharp and against Sampdoria me managed to get a much needed goal. Birsa on the other hand has been a consistent performer for Chievo all season with 5 goals and 7 assists (the highest for Chievo in both assists and goals). So providing these two players can perform it could get people with some good points for a relatively cheap price.
