Gameweek 25 - DOUBLE GAMEWEEEK Special

This is a hard week to really pinpoint players who may be flying under the radar because with the double City and Everton games coming up, managers minds are firmly focused on assets from these two clubs. Everton's form has been poor lately, and with the dismissal of Digne has left FPL managers with only 2 realistic targets; Richarlison and Sigurdsson. Richarlison scored in a 1-0 victory over league strugglers Huddersfield while Sigurdsson rose in price soon after the games. Meanwhile, Manchester City have so many options its hard to really choose. Also with rotation and a succession of important games, we could see significantly reduced minutes all over. In this article I am going to pick out 3 players I believe are flying under the radar for the Double Gameweek and could provide you with value in your hunt for the bigger assets.

Gundogan

5.4m 1.9% TSB Manchester City Double Gameweek: Arsenal (H) & Everton (A) Looking past the Arsenal match on Sunday afternoon - Manchester City head for an out of form, out of sorts, defensively porous Everton team. With rotation likely, Gundogan could come in and anchor the midfield in place of Fernandinho who could be rested midweek so he is fit to play Chelsea the following weekend in GW26. Gundogan has been an interesting FPL asset over the years as when he plays he does pop up with significant contributions for his price. Over 961 minutes this season (equivalent to just over 10 games) Gundogan has contributed to 6 goals and harvested 8 bonus points in that time, seeing him with a points per game of 3.7 (this is the same as Glenn Murray at Brighton!). He could see 90-120 minutes across the two fixtures in a range of positions across the City midfield, so if you are looking to bring in a heavy hitter and need a cheap player to balance it out, Gundogan could be your choice! Points per game: 3.7

Bernardo Silva

7.6m 8.2% Manchester City Double Gameweek: Arsenal (H) & Everton (A) He was everyone's favourite City asset near the start of the season. With 4 goals, 3 assists and 7 Bonus points from the first 14 games, the versatile Portuguese forward was filling in for KdB, contributing on set plays, and filling in late in matches further forward. This could be a double gameweek where the alternative assets (Bernardo / Mahrez / Jesus) actually score higher than the premium ones With Arsenal on Sunday and Chelsea the following weekend this double gameweek is primed for rotation in the mid-week fixture. There an out of form Everton will face up against City players who may find it easier to break down Everton, especially if the crowd turn on the players / manager at Goodison park. Bernardo could be the fulcrum of the team in this game, with KdB and David Silva likely to face up against Arsenal especially with David Silva's record against the Gunners. Points per game: 4.3

Pickford

5.0m 13.5% TSB Everton Double Gameweek: Wolverhampton Wanderers (H) & Manchester City (H) With two home games in a double gameweek and with high shot takers such as Wolves and Man City visiting, what Pickford may not make up for in clean sheets he may make up in save / penalty save points. It is a gamble, but if you cannot afford the 5.6m for the injury hit Ederson, and you want some access to the DGW if your keeper needs changing (Button now been ousted for Ryan, Guaita back in for Crystal Palace and Schmeichel nowhere near his good run yet) Pickford could be the one. We are not expecting much here, but it is a maverick move and erratic England number 1 has got a history of the sublime and the mad you could luck out on a sublime week as he recreates his heroics from the World Cup. Points per game: 3.9 [/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type="1_6" layout="1_6" spacing="" center_content="no" hover_type="none" link="" mer_position="all" padding="" dimension_margin="" animation_type="" animation_direction="left" animation_speed="0.3" animation_offset="" last="no" element_content=""][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
