Fantasy Premier League Differential Tips For Gameweek 27

Share post on:
Welcome back to another article highlighting Fantasy Premier League Differential Tips for Gameweek 27. Callum Read highlights some low ownership (<5%) players who also provide a long term option with Blank gameweeks on the horizon. 8 teams are confirmed without a fixture in Gameweek 30, so planning your transfers wisely over the next few weeks will be the difference between you having a starting 11 and not. The table below only includes teams who are 100% confirmed to feature in Gameweek 30. The number next to each opposition is the average number of goals they've conceded in their last four Premier League matches (home or away depending on fixture). Despite Leicester and Tottenham featuring at the top of our estimated goals per game table, it would be naive of us to suggest a differential attacking player from either team as both teams have premium players such as Vardy, Kane, Mahrez, Alli and Eriksen taking the majority of the points. Instead, we've highlighted some attacking differentials from the likes of Stoke, Swansea, Man City, Southampton and Aston Villa.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (4.3% / £7.1m)

The Swansea midfielder has found his form again averaging 7.5 points per game in his last four matches and scoring three goals. Having created nine chances and had 14 shots over the last four game weeks, you can begin to see his creative side flourishing once again. A massive bonus to owning Sigurdsson is his ability from dead ball situations, he's been touted as the Icelandic David Beckham and it's clear to see why, beit a corner or a free kick he has the tools to produce something special. Referring back to our table, fixtures against Tottenham and Arsenal provide a tough matchup for Swansea, but games against Norwich and Bournemouth are ones in which Swansea and Sigurdsson should be looking to dominate.

David Silva (4.8% / £9.9m)

David Silva was somewhat overshadowed by teammate Kevin de Bruyne in the first half of the season, despite picking up eight assists and proving a key part of City's attacking unit. The injury to KdB increases Silva's chance of attacking returns and in the upcoming weeks he could really prove his worth. He done exactly that in the Champions League win over Dynamo Kiev, Silva was everywhere and scored what proved to be the winner. His creativity and vision in the final third was clear to see, something that has been reflected in his last four Premier League games, with Silva taking 146 touches in the final third and creating seven chances.

Ibrahim Afellay (0.5% / £5.1m)

Ibrahim Afellay scored his first Premier League goal of the season in Stoke's 3-1 win over Bournemouth in Gameweek 26. The Dutch international also took home three bonus points in what was an impressive all round display. Despite not really kicking on this season, fixtures against Aston Villa and Newcastle are to appealing to overlook. Many FPL managers look towards Xherdan Shaqiri or Marko Arnautovic for their Stoke coverage but Afellay has had more shots then the pair in their last four games, whilst he has also created the same amount of chances as the Swiss winger, so he's certainly not one to be overlooked.
