Fantasy Premier League Differential Tips For Gameweek 18

Share post on:
Welcome back to another article highlighting Fantasy Premier League Differential Tips for Gameweek 18. This week Callum Read picks out the best differentials ahead of Gameweek 18. The template teams are starting to become a regular thing both on FPL and on the daily games over at MondoGoal and FantasyBet. Our differential tips are here to provide you with some food for thought going into Gameweek 18. It's getting harder and harder to predict just who will win each fixture in the Premier League this season. Therefore we've decided to highlight our favourite differentials for both FPL, Mondogoal and FantasyBet. Please note, all players must be below 5.0% ownership to be considered a differential.

Differential Tips For FPL

Dele Alli (5.2m) vs Norwich (H) 4.8% Ownership Ever since his summer move from Milton Keynes Dons things have been on the up for young Dele Alli. The midfielder has been a constant fixture in the Spurs side and doesn't look out of his depth. If anything he looks like he's been playing in the Premier League for a number of years, it's a testament to his ability as a player. He has a bit of a Frank Lampard about him in the sense he wants to get into the box and score goals. His finish against Southampton last week was his fourth of the season, which was also met with his fourth assist of the season. We'd be backing him to continue his form against Norwich City this weekend and deliver the goods for a festive White Hart Lane crowd. Bojan (5.1m) v Manchester United (H) 1.6% Ownership There was a feature on Sky Sports earlier this week on Bojan and throughout the whole interview he constantly reminded the viewers just how much he is enjoying his time with Mark Hughes. The Spaniards ability is starting to shine through and you can sense why Hughes signed him last season. The former Barcelona man equalled his tally of four goals from last season with a penalty against Crystal Palace last week. Manchester United are all over the place at the moment, they've had a number of injuries and their high profile players are not performing. Expect Bojan to provide some Christmas cheer for the Stoke faithful. Joel Robles (4.3m) vs Newcastle (A) 0.1% Ownership This tip is a massive risk and could in all honesty back fire but if you're secondary keeper is of a good quality and Robles doesn't play the risk may pay off, the old cliché 'high risk, high reward' comes to mind. It's fair to say that Tim Howard's performances in recent weeks have been subpar. In Everton's 3-1 loss to Leicester last week he gave away a penalty and has been nothing short of shambolic for Everton this season. When Robles has come into the first team for cup fixtures he's done an adequate job and looked like a good replacement for Howard. Everton fans all over Twitter are asking for the change to happen and if Martinez wants to avoid the press talking about his sacking them he may need to bite the bullet of footballing loyalty and drop the American in favour of Robles. Kurt Zouma (5.5m) vs Watford (H) 4.3% Ownership We'd usually avoid Chelsea defenders given their reluctance to keep clean sheets but with Hiddink coming in things could begin to slowly change. This weekend they face Watford at home and at the heart of the defence will the young Kurt Zouma. The Frenchman plays well above his age and is incredible mature both on and off the ball, of course he makes the odd mistake but he recovers well. His pace will be needed against a quick Watford front line who have the ability to score goals from nothing. This doesn't discourage us though as we believe the new manager will want to get things rolling with a win and a clean sheet.

Differential Tips For MondoGoal

Glenn Murray (5.1m) vs Crystal Palace (H) Bournemouth have now registered three consecutive wins in the Premier League with two coming against Chelsea and Manchester United. They are currently without Callum Wilson who is out on the injury table for an extensive period of time. This has given other players a chance to prove themselves. One player who has stepped up to the place in recent weeks is Glenn Murray who scored against Chelsea before putting in a shift for the last 26 minutes against Manchester United. His performance earned him a start against West Brom and he should be in line to face his former club Crystal Palace this weekend. Adrian (7.4m) vs Aston Villa (A) West Ham have recorded three consecutive 0-0 draws giving keeper Adrian three more clean sheets. Despite employing a new manager Aston Villa are still looking pretty below par and are a lot of pundits and bookies tip to be relegated. They've only scored five goals at home whilst West Ham have looked strong away from Upton Park this season. Joel Campbell (5.8m) vs Southampton (A) Campbell has broken into the Arsenal side in recent weeks due to injuries to fellow players. His performance against Manchester City impressed us enough to make our differential tips. He arguably should've grabbed an assist had the finishing of the Arsenal players been better. As previously mentioned Southampton are in horrific form and Campbell will be looking to continue to impress Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans. Wes Morgan (7.0m) vs Liverpool (A) This tip brings some sort of substance behind it, whilst we do think Liverpool have a chance of scoring, Leicester's defence don't have a history of clean sheets but Morgan brings goal scoring potential for this game. Liverpool are very poor defending corners and are without both Dejan Lovren and Martin Skertl are out for this weekend giving Morgan the perfect chance to convert a header from a set piece situation.

Rickie Lambert (5.5m) vs Swansea (A) Last weekend Salomon Rondon was sent off for a quite frankly stupid head but on Bournemouth's Dan Gosling leaving Tony Pulis with Saido Berhaino, Rickie Lambert and Victor Anichebe as his three remaining strikers. We personally feel it'll be Lambert who gets the nod against Swansea as fellow Englishman Berhaino has fallen out of favour with the manager and hasn't started a game since October 31st. Nathan Redmond (5.0m) vs Tottenham (A) Norwich have had a horrible run of fixtures facing Chelsea, Arsenal, Watford, Everton and then Manchester United before a trip to White Hart Lane this Boxing Day. Many had Alex Neil's side down to lose all of these games but once again the Scottish manager has proved his critics wrong coming out with some impressive results including the win against Manchester United last week. Redmond picked up his second assist of the season in that game and will be eager to carry over some form into this tricky fixture Theo Walcott (8.0m) vs Southampton (A) Arsenal are now looking like genuine title contenders, the performances have been improving in recent weeks and they are starting to welcome back players from injuries. Walcott is now fully fit and scored a world class goal against Manchester City on Monday night. His performance would have been enough to keep him in the side to face an out of form Southampton this weekend. Ryan Shawcross (4.5m) vs Manchester United (H) Louis van Gaal is under serious amounts of pressure and his team are not putting in any kind of inspiring performances. The fans are on the managers back and calling for his head, so an away trip to Stoke City is the one fixture the Dutch manager needed. Shawcross has be superb this season and in all honestly his performances should have caught the eye of England manager Roy Hodgson. Stoke are notoriously hard to break down at home and former United player Shawcross will be wanting to get on the score sheet against his former employers.
