FPL Holly is back for the final time this season, with her selection of captain picks for Gameweek 38. It's been a long journey, particularly for her Clueless Husband, who has just about made the challenge of thinking of a Premier League footballer on a weekly basis. On a personal note, I want to thank Holly and her husband for their exceptional contribution to Fplbet this year. It's been a real pleasure to be able to host her column each week. Also, thank you to you guys, the community, for engaging and sharing the content. I hope to see you back next season with more regular features and a new version of the site. Until then, Thank You! Del (Editor).
Double Gameweek 37 was a whirlwind and had its fair share of captaincy failures, despite many players getting 180 minutes. Those who went with Kane walked away with at least some additional returns. Well done to those managers who went with Aubameyang. Gameweek 38 looks to be just as challenging, with things pretty much wrapped up at both ends of the table. However, the golden boot race is still on, as is the race for Champions League qualification. Manchester City are eyeing up yet more records too. Home fixtures are always favourable on the final day, as the watching fans expect a decent performance from their club.SCOUT: A huge goal from Kane in #TOTNEW the most captained (19.4%) & the most Triple Captained (49.3%) for #DGW37. Shield Pick: Mohammed Salah vs Brighton (H)
Anytime Goalscorer Odds: 2/5Salah holds a three goal advantage in the golden boot race and Liverpool have plenty of motivation this week as they look to hold off Chelsea for 4th spot in the Premier League. Those who sold Salah due to his lack of doubles have been lucky, since Salah has two blanks on the bounce and just three goals in his last six games. However, it would be a brave manager to go without him this week, as he looks set to be the most captained on Sunday. He got an assist in the reverse fixture, which Liverpool won 5-1. Expect business as usual at Anfield this weekend. If you are sitting pretty at the top of those cash mini leagues, play it safe with Mo one last time!GOLDEN SHOE RACE
Mohamed Salah is still in the hunt for the European Golden Shoe - just. Here's what he needs to do to get his hands on the prize: https://t.co/I8LDS2VkJT pic.twitter.com/wO9laRmnmh — Sky Sports PL (@SkySportsPL) May 10, 2018
Sword Pick: Harry Kane vs Leicester (H)
Anytime Goalscorer Odds: 2/5If anyone can close a 3 goal deficit in the golden boot race, it's Harry Kane. I personally, have fond memories of Gameweek 38 last season, when he scored a hat trick against Hull City, in a 7-1 victory: Harry was my captain that day. He has three goals in his last six games, but hasn't scored a brace or better since January. Leicester have been defensively poor recently, conceding 8 goals over the course of their last 3 games. If you need to take a risk in the hope of toppling a rival in your mini league, Kane is a strong option.Huge win tonight and good to seal @ChampionsLeague football again for next season. Now to finish on a high on Sunday. #COYS pic.twitter.com/1U7bKvHK7C

Form Pick: Wilfried Zaha vs West Brom (H)
Anytime Goalscorer Odds: 6/5Zaha has the best form of all Premier League players, with 4 goals and 3 assists in his last six games. He's had a strong end to the season and now comes up against a relegated West Brom side at home this Sunday. Expect Wilf to continue in much of the same way we've seen over the last couple of weeks. If you've nothing to play for, take a chance on the form pick this week.Wilfried Zaha has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for April 🥇

Fixture Pick: Raheem Sterling vs Southampton (A)
Anytime Goalscorer Odds: 17/20It's an away game for City, but Pep is still chasing records, with a win securing a massive 100 point total. Sterling was rested last time around, which suggests he could start this game and he is the form player for City: he's 3 goals and 7 assists in his last 6 games. Saints have had a tough week, culminating in securing safety and will now be taking their foot off the gas. Expect Sterling to torment their back line and get among the points once more. If you're looking for a Champions captain, Sterling is your guy!Raheem Sterling has had a hand in more Premier League goals this season (18 goals, 11 assists) than any other English player.
He needs one more goal to make it 50 in the Premier League. Live 👉 https://t.co/QEHFmgekQW #MCFC #HTAFC #MCIHUD pic.twitter.com/ZPDP2DzrId — BBC Sport (@BBCSport) May 6, 2018
Punt Pick: Eden Hazard vs Newcastle (A)
Anytime Goalscorer Odds: 11/10Chelsea have a difficult task on Sunday, they need to win and Liverpool to lose in order to secure Champions League football next season. They have to go for it in Newcastle, with Hazard most likely to produce returns for us. A substitute in the last game, you'd expect him to play the full 90 minutes in this one. Hazard has a decent record against Newcastle, including a brace in the reverse fixture. Newcastle have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six games. Are you going to take a punt?Eden Hazard v Newcastle: 6⃣ shots (most he's had in a single PL game) 2⃣ goals 6⃣ goals v Newcastle in all appearances (more than against any other PL team) 🔥🔥🔥 #CFC #CHENEW pic.twitter.com/IrgT845Fpf

Park the Bus Pick: David De Gea vs Watford (H)
Clean Sheet Odds: 11/10De Gea has been the star player for Manchester United this season and has single handedly secured 2nd spot in the league for them. He's now looking to pin down the Golden Glove and this is the last opportunity to add to that clean sheet total. He's got the second highest points total across all FPL goalkeepers and defenders, plus he's more than capable of getting a double digit score. Are you brave enough to captain a keeper?🤲 @D_DeGea ⛔ @edersonmoraes93 🔵 @thibautcourtois

Clueless Husband Pick: Christian Eriksen vs Leicester (H)
Anytime Goalscorer Odds: 7/5“Ericsson” is the final captain pick of the season for the Clueless Husband, who's had quite the journey to the top 50k of the Premier League standings. This late on, he still can't spell or pronounce half the players AND he has ran out of illogical reasoning for his picks! Eriksen had a disappointing DGW37, but does have 3 goals and 1 assist in his last six games. If Kane does explode in his quest to score a hat trick, it will be Eriksen there laying chances on a plate for him. Thank you for reading and supporting the captain articles this season. Good Luck!
