Quite frankly it wasn't the gameweek we had all hoped for last week was it?
Popular captain choices Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling failed to pick up a goal or assist in across both of their fixtures, meanwhile the unlikely candidates of Michael Dawson and Steven Harper left no managers anywhere celebrating them as their captain.
Based upon Fantasy Football Fix's ownership stats, we reckon that more than half of you reading this opted for Hazard (44.3%) or Sterling (8.2%) and have visited this article to try and avoid the mistakes you made last gameweek.
Our predictions last week weren't far off and it appears that during gameweek 34 it paid to be a risk taker. Here's a look at how last weeks tip performed as captains:

[mks_separator style="dashed" height="2"] [mks_col] [mks_one_half] Sergio Agüero vs Tottenham (A) Last week we backed Agüero to finish the season as the league's top goal scorer, and after netting against Aston Villa to move the blue side of Manchester ahead of their neighbours into 2nd once more, we're confident our assumption will not let us down. With four goals in three appearances Agüero has certainly got rid of his goalless hoodoo that plagued him in March, and is currently in better form than his golden boot rivals Harry Kane and Diego Costa. This weekend City travel to White Hart Lane to face a Tottenham side that have just one win in their last four and now look like an outside contender to claim a Europa League spot next season and Agüero will be looking to prove to a certain Mr Kane that he's still the league's most prolific goal scorer. [/mks_one_half] [mks_one_half] Eden Hazard vs Crystal Palace (H) We heavily tipped him last weekend, but who didn't? With two fixtures a lot of those in the fantasy football community would have felt sure the PFA Player of the Year would have walked away with at least a goal but after two games of football we were left empty handed. Hazard may not have had the best of gameweeks, but for Chelsea it was one that moved them to within a win of reclaiming the Premier League title, following their goalless draw at the Emirates and a comeback win against in-form Leicester City. With just a win away from the title the stage is set for the player of the year � who looks certain to remain at Stamford Bridge next season � to round off a remarkable season by claiming Jose Mourinho's first Premier League title since his return to Chelsea. [mks_separator style="dashed" height="2"] [mks_col] [mks_one_half] Olivier Giroud vs Hull (A) Giroud hasn't scored since Arsenals 4-1 drubbing against Liverpool, where the North London side not only ensured they would make it 17 seasons in succession in the Champions League, but also gave themselves a chance of finishing as high as second for the first time in ten years. With the changes to the way sides are seeded for the Champions League it has never been as important for Arsenal to finish above City and United to give themselves the best chance of avoiding some of the top sides in Europe. Along with the likes of Sánchez, Özil and Cazorla, Giroud will be key in claiming that second place spot, and although their opponents this weekend Hull City have found a decent spell of form, this Arsenal team have won eight of their last nine in the Premier League. [/mks_one_half] [mks_one_half] Harry Kane vs Man City (H) Some people questioned why Harry Kane won the PFA Young Player of the Year award ahead of Eden Hazard but after a sensational first season in the Premier League where he's scored 20 goals we think the 21-year old more than deserves the award. Manchester City have lost their last five in all competitions on the road and with Tottenham still chasing a Europa League place they will be looking towards Kane to continue Pellegrini's woeful recent run of form. While Kane hasn't been as prolific in recent weeks as he was at the start of 2015, the young Englishman was still the second most popular player for the armband last gameweek. With a goal and an assist in his last two perhaps Kane may just keep bringing home a solid amount of points for the remainder of the season. [mks_separator style="dashed" height="2"] [mks_col] [mks_one_half] Christian Benteke vs Everton (H) Nine goals and an assist in his last eight fixtures in all competitions really summarises just how good a job Tim Sherwood has done in reviving Aston Villa's fortunes since his appointment as manager just over two months ago. Despite an F.A Cup final coming up following that memorable win over Brendan Rodgers Liverpool, Villa still need to guarantee Premier League football next season. Everton may found a bit of form in recent weeks, rounded off by that 3-0 win over a Manchester United side who had been playing the type of football they were once renowned for a few seasons ago, but with safety all but guaranteed and Europa league out of the question there will be less of an incentive for the Toffee's to continue their run. [/mks_one_half] [mks_one_half] Graizano Pellè vs SUN (A) For someone who couldn't hit a barn door for the best part of the first three months this year the 29-year old Italian has re-found a bit of form in recent weeks following his opening goal for Italy against England. His three goals in his last three appearances have kept Southampton just a point behind Europa League candidates Tottenham and Liverpool and with an away fixture against a Sunderland side who now find themselves in the relegation zone, there's a possibility Koeman's men will continue to push for a fifth place finish. Sunderland have won just once in their last ten games, and conceding an average of two goals a game in their last five fixtures may leave some adventurous managers deciding to choose the Saints forward.
