The hosts had only managed four wins in all competitions up until December, but their current run has seen them claim victory in four out of their past five matches. Over that stretch they've outscored their opponents 8-4 and only let in multiple goals on one occasion. Toulouse, a much better team on paper, have been uninspiring in recent weeks. They don't offer much of a threat going forward and they mostly rely on their defense to help pick up points. That strategy hasn't worked out quite to plan, as their only win from their previous six matches has come against Lorient, who currently sit at the bottom of the league.

While Toulouse may have a sizeable point difference over Nantes, the two teams are trending in two very different directions. It would be generous to call the hosts' attack dismal, as they've only managed to score multiple goals in one match since October. Even though their defense has been their strong suit, it hasn't had much to brag about recently, either. With only one clean sheet in their past nine outings, Nantes must feel confident that their in-form strike partnership of Sala and Stepinski can at least score once against Toulouse.
