Arguably one of the most important weekends of the Fantasy Premier League calendar has just passed, one where managers around the world had the opportunity to close the gap on mini-league leaders and apply some final pressure ahead of the penultimate gameweek this season.
Research was conducted, statistics were analysed and gambles were made but as the gameweek dawned upon us, one's success could be gauged with a simple question: Did you captain Sergio Agüero?
The Argentine tallied up a hattrick, two assists and the three bonus points during Manchester City's 6-0 demolition of QPR and left those managers who opted against him at least 23 points behind their rival who inevitably did.
Down at the more exciting end of the table Aston Villa, Leicester and Sunderland all won and kept clean sheets in their respective fixtures, whilst Newcastle managed to score AND pick up their first point in eight matches.
As it stands the Tigers who fell short to a Danny Ings strike will be joining Burnley and QPR in the descent to the Championship, with just a tense final two fixtures deciding their fate.
Whereas every other Fantasy Premier League tips website would swiftly put this weekend behind them and pretend it never happened - We're going to quickly recap how badly our players performed during gameweek 36:

[mks_icon icon="fa-star" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Best Bet - David Ospina
Poor David Ospina. Two weeks on the bounce now where he's lost out on a clean sheet due to momentary lapses of concentration from his backline.
Our faith remains in the Colombian however, as he pays the red side of Manchester a visit followed by a home tie against a struggling bunch of Black Cats during the week.
An easy choice for best bet, as a mere two appearances (+4) and three saves in both games (+2) would be enough to match other keepers who pick up a clean sheet in their one match.

[mks_icon icon="fa-money" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Bargain Buy - Shay Given
After an impressive run of form in the cup, Shay Given now finds himself as Tim Sherwood's keeper of choice and back in our team for the first time since 2008.
It could be said that a Southampton win would put them at risk of qualifying for the Europa League, a tournament that plagues teams with injuries, fatigue and Thursday night fixtures.
Valued at just 4.0m, the Irish keeper stands out as the cheapest clean sheet prospect as Villa look to secure their Premier League status with a win at St. Mary's.

[mks_icon icon="fa-bar-chart-o" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Differential - Jack Butland
The 22-year old could well be the future Stoke keeper with Asmir Begović looking set to leave following a few tantrums over Hughes' decision to drop him to the bench.
Although Burnley finally found the net last week, somewhat aided by Dawson being forced of the pitch with a nosebleed, we expect an immediate revert back to their goalless ways.
Owned by 0.0%, Butland and his Stoke side are still playing enthusiastically unlike many teams around them, and will no doubt avoid defeat for the forth-consecutive time at Turf Moor.

[mks_icon icon="fa-star" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Best Bet - Aleksandar Kolarov
If Manuel Pellegrini didn't rotate his fullbacks more often than he does his underwear, then the likes of Kolarov and Zabaleta would no doubt be set and forget defenders.
The Serbian has found a little four match spell in the City starting line up following a minor injury to Gael Clichy and in that time scored two, assisted one and kept three clean sheets.
With Arsenal still breathing down their neck, this weekend the citizens will look to tighten their grip on second place with a win over an in-form Swansea side at the Liberty.

[mks_icon icon="fa-money" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Bargain Buy - Patrick van Aanholt
Since the turn of the year, PvA has found himself glued in excuse the pun - to a number of fantasy teams due to his low price tag and tendency to contribute an assist.
This weekend the Black Cats host the Foxes in what looks to be a cagey relegation six-pointer. In their previous meetings each have kept SIX clean sheets (LEI from 10 games; SUN from 11).
Valued at just 4.1m and with an additional fixture against Arsenal this gameweek, Aanholt has 180 minutes to gather some points at this crucial stage in the season.

[mks_icon icon="fa-bar-chart-o" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Differential - Wes Morgan
The Foxes have been absolutely on fire lately with a free flowing attack and a solid back line that's somewhat reminiscent of Southampton's at the beginning of the season.
Holding it all together in defense is skipper Wes Morgan, who has put in several inspired performances that have largely contributed to the six wins in their last seven games.
Owned by just 2.2%, the powerhouse center back will be looking to lead his team closer to safety with a third consecutive clean sheet against relegation candidates Sunderland.

[mks_icon icon="fa-star" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Best Bet - Alexis Sánchez
There's a chance Mr Sánchez may have been blacklisted by a number of fantasy managers this week after failing to deliver the goods as captain whilst Agüero had a romp.
Having lost out to goal line technology on Monday night, Arsenal will need to take six points from six to claim their highest Premier League finish in 10 years from the onlooking Man City.
With 16 goals and eight assists to his name this year, we fancy the Chilean as the player with the highest potential for points this gameweek as he faces Man Utd (A) and Sunderland (H).

[mks_icon icon="fa-money" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Bargain Buy - Tom Cleverley
Following the recent news that Jordi Gómez - our previous bargain buy midfielder - has been ruled out for the rest of the season, we've decent to substitute him for a certain Villian.
We're not sure what Tim Sherwood has been stirring in to Tom Cleverley's water, but over the last three weeks he's bagged a Henderson-esque, goal-a-game.
Valued at just 5.2m, Clevs travels down the the South coast to face a Saints side that look a shell of their former selves at the back since the loss of Forster and Schneiderlin.

[mks_one_third]
[mks_icon icon="fa-bar-chart-o" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Differential - Steven Gerrard
Steven Gerrard is set to make his final appearance in front of home fans and what better way to conclude his 17 years of service at Liverpool than with a goal in front of those beloved Scousers.
Liverpool's Champions League hopes are effectively over and this weeks visitors Crystal Palace are in Premier League limbo with nothing but pride left to play for.
Owned by just 0.8%, the Liverpool legend - who has scored two in goals in his last two - will be looking for a dream send off, and we sense a late Gerrard penalty in front of the Kop.

[mks_icon icon="fa-star" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Best Bet - Sergio Agüero
It's getting to the stage where we might as well remove ‘best bet' and just have Sergio Agüero's name as a permanent replacement because nobodies likely to replace him.
During Manchester City's 6-0 demolition of Championship-bound QPR last weekend, the Argentine played his part in five of the goals bagging a hattrick and two assists.
Ignore Sergio Agüero at your own risk this weekend as he travels to Swansea looking to extend his run of eight goals in five games and further secure the Golden Boot award.

[mks_icon icon="fa-money" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Bargain Buy - Jamie Vardy
Not sure what all this nonsense about bringing in Danny Graham and Jermain Defoe is. Let's see how they cope against an in-form Leicester and Arsenal chasing second.
On the contrary, we're going to take a punt on a certain Jamie Vardy, who despite not having two matches this gameweek, does play QPR at home next, rather than Chelsea away.
Valued at 4.7m, Vardy has contributed two goals and three assists to help the Foxes take six wins from their last seven, and we expect more to come from the striker in their final two matches.

[mks_icon icon="fa-bar-chart-o" color="#3ec943" type="fa"] Differential - Papiss Cissé
Hold on a minute, Papiss Cissé again? Yeah, yeah… we're aware we tipped old Papiss last week and we've acknowledged it was somewhat premature, but this weeks the one.
The Senegalese striker will likely make a return after featuring from the bench last weekend - to spearhead the Magpies attack in a crucial fixture against already relegated QPR.
Owned by just 0.6%, we believe Cissé is going to be that player who closes the gap on your mini-league leader as relegation candidates Newcastle go in search of vital points.
