Welcome to the first Fantasy Serie A article, Tom Daniels picks out his top 5 picks for a thrilling Gameweek 22. Gameweek 21 showed that Juventus's rise back up the division is not ending any time soon thanks to a crucial goal by Dybala in their 1-0 win against Roma. Juventus's 11th win a row however failed to distract Napoli as they recorded a 4-2 victory against Sampdoria. Capri's injury time hero Lasagna ensured that they recorded a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan, while Palermo brushed aside fellow Serie A strugglers Udinese 4-1. Here are our five tips for Gameweek 22 of Serie A - our prices come from our partners over at MondoGoal (MO), who provide daily Fantasy Football contests for a variety of European leagues.

Tip 1  Roma to return to winning ways against Frosinone.

Roma have hit a bad run of form in the Serie A having been unable to claim a victory in 4 attempts. However they go against a team 19th in the league. Also with the lowest goal difference it's easy to say that Roma will score a goal. With El Shaarawy (£6.6m) in the team you could risk that he starts and at a reasonably cheap price it could be worth the gamble. The safer option would be Miralem Pjanic (£10.1m). With 7 goals and 6 assists to his name already the goal scoring midfielder would more than likely score or provide against the team that has conceded 45 goals (the most in the Serie A so far).

Tip 2 Dybala to continue his goal scoring form.

Paulo Dybala (£14.3m) has been one of the breakout stars in what has been a rocky season for the Serie A champions. Dybala is certainly not a cheap buy but with an average of nearly a goal or an assist every game (0.95 goals or assists a game) the money is definitely worth it. Having scored the only goal against Roma last Gameweek, he also came off the bench and continued his goal scoring form to help Juventus to the final of the Copa Italia. Juventus face Chievo who currently sit 10th in the table and last week where outclassed by Lazio 4-1. So unless an unlikely upset is on the cards, Dybala looks like a certain choice for anyone's fantasy team.

Tip 3 Sassuolo to grab a victory.

Sassuolo have quickly had a reality check in recently weeks, having only one victory in 6 games they now currently hold the 7th spot. Atlanta on the other hand are also suffering a torrid time at the moment as they have been unable to pick up a victory since early December. We suggest that while the easy option would be to pick up Domenico Berardi (£9.1m), it may be a wiser option to use Nicola Sansone (£5.7m). Having scored the same amount of goal in the league as Berardi (3) it could be a wise move to pick Berardi's partner to bag a goal against a struggling Atlanta side.

Tip 4 Verona to still not record their first victory.

Without a win all season Verona look outmatched and outclassed in the Serie A. This also provides a great opportunity to purchase some lower valued defenders with the hope that Verona fail to score. They face Torino, a team that despite only gaining 4 out of a possible 9 points, sit comfortably mid table where they probably expected to be. A couple recommendations include Kamil Gilk (£6.2m) and Emiliano Moretti (£7.2m). Verona have only managed to score 14 goals this season, the league's worst, and against a team sitting in 11th some easy points could be gained over Verona's striking problem.

Tip 5 Bacca to score in the Milan Derby.

Arguably one of histories greatest ever derbies comes around yet again and the stats show that Carlos Bacca (9.6m) is the man you need to back. Having scored 10 goals and 1 assist in 21 appearances the former Seville man looks set to score in the Milan Derby. Last time round Bacca failed to hit the back of the net against Inter Milan. However the striker is coming into the derby in-form having scored 3 goals in five games including one against title hopefuls Fiorentina. It also may be wise to invest in Giacomo Bonaventura (12.9m) who will certainly add some fire power to your midfield with 5 goals. He could also play a part in whether Bacca gets a goal having created 7 assists in the league, 4 of which have been to the Columbian.
