Welcome back to another article, highlighting Fantasy Premier League Clean Sheet Tips For Gameweek 24. NaturalFootyFan returns to pick out the clubs and players with the best clean sheet potential ahead of the midweek fixtures. The big talking point in Gameweek 23 was the potential game of the season spectacle as Liverpool sneaked all three points in a 9-goal thriller versus the so-called goal-shy Norwich. This match played havoc with our predictions, as we expected the home side to sit back and invite pressure, but instead, they were adventurous and went for the jugular. Other than that, our remaining two sides executed the game plan we expected West Brom secured their second clean sheet in succession while Tottenham were unlucky to concede a freak own-goal, in a game they largely dominated. We now move onto Gameweek 24, here are our latest tips. All FPL player prices are from the official site while the Daily Fantasy Football figures are provided by our partners at FantasyBet and Mondogoal.

FPL Potential

Sam Byram (5.0m) 0.1% Ownership

[Fixtures: Aston Villa (H), Southampton (a), Norwich (a), Sunderland (H), Tottenham (H)] Following his 3.7 million transfer from Championship side Leeds, the youngster was thrown straight into the mix, subsequent of a Carl Jenkinson knee injury. His debut, as an early substitute, was made just 3 days after arriving, which indicates that Slaven Bilic has great faith in the 22-year-old. Byram was a fan's favourite at Elland Road, nevertheless, a progression to the top flight always looked likely. Now he's here and, as the only fit member of the squad who is accustomed to playing at right back, Byram has the perfect opportunity to prove his worth and nail down a place in the starting XI. Another bonus from selecting Byram is his versatility, the Englishman is comfortable at right back as mentioned, however, he can also do a job as an attacking winger as he demonstrated in December, with 2 goals in a 3-2 victory over Wolves. The only negative to take note of is his susceptibility to pick up yellow cards (5 in his last 7 Championship matches). Yet, this shouldn't be a major factor in your decision, as the experience of playing alongside seasoned professionals often plays a role in calming down young players. Coming up against Aston Villa, Norwich and Sunderland over the next 4 Gameweeks, Byram should definitely be on your radar, especially with just 0.1% ownership.

Joel Ward (4.5m) 5.8% Ownership

[Fixtures: Bournemouth (H), Swansea (a), Watford (H), West Brom (a), Sunderland (a)] This pick might surprise a few people, but you just have to take a look at the next 5 fixtures for Crystal Palace to get an idea of Ward's potential. Yes, he has three away trips on the horizon, however, Crystal Palace often show more steel, when isolated from home comforts. This season they have conceded fewer goals on their travels and last season would have finished in 5th place based on away form. Joel Ward constantly bombs up the right flank and has already contributed with 2 goals this season. He is rarely cautioned and has played 90 minutes in every Crystal Palace match since the start of December, to highlight this consistency, Ward featured in 3240 and 3330 minutes respectively during the 2014/15 and 2015/16 FPL campaigns.

FantasyBet & Mondogoal Stacks

Stacking: To pair multiple players from the same team in an effort to increase upside. (For example, if West Ham secure a clean sheet in Gameweek 24 and you own 3 of their defenders, instead of 1 your upside is tripled). Stacking has proven an extremely successful strategy in the past. The best example of profiting from this tactic was on Mondogoal, when Alex Haywood or @HaystackedDFS on twitter placed all of his eggs in one basket (a Newcastle stack in his case) and transformed a £1 entry ticket into a leg-buckling £10,000 he is the biggest U.K daily fantasy football winner to date. Here are some possible stacks for Gameweek 24 on FantasyBet (FB) and Mondogoal (MO).

Low Risk Manchester City (a) stack vs. Sunderland

When a side is playing on home soil, it usually means they are more likely to score, however, this is not the case with Sunderland. The Black Cats have scored fewer at The Stadium of Light, than on the road this season and we expect Manchester City to pin them back from the first whistle. Sunderland are perhaps City's bogey side, having won 4 out of the last 5 meetings between the clubs, nevertheless, with Sergio Aguero back firing, they'll have other things on their mind rather than scoring. The hosts would bite your hand off for a goalless draw before kick-off, which is why we recommend stacking the Man City backline. With Kolarov, Kompany and Mangala ruled out, the back four pretty much picks itself. Gael Clichy (FB:5.0m MO:7.3m) at LB, the expensive Nicolas Otamendi (FB: 6.5m MO:9.0m) partnering Martin Demichelis (FB:5.0m MO:6.7m) at CB, leaving the only question mark surrounding the RB slot, with Sagna and Zabaleta vying for a place. To save any confusion, our tip is to ignore these two and instead select, the ever reliable, Joe Hart (FB:7.5m MO:5.5m).

Medium Risk West Ham (H) stack vs. Aston Villa

Just like last week, we recommend backing the defence that plays host to bottom of the table, Aston Villa. West Ham have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 matches at Boleyn Ground while Villa have scored an average of 0.78 goals per game this season the lowest in the Premier League. The Hammers seem to have all areas covered; if their opposition choose to go route-one and lob the ball into Gestede - they have conceded a league-low two headed goals this season and if Rémi Garde decides to go for trickery on the wings (Gil and Grealish), then the robust fullback pairing of Sam Byram (FB:TBC MO:6.4m) and Aaron Cresswell (FB:5.5m MO:7.9m) can make light work of that. The latter has created 26 chances this season and is only second to Dimitri Payet in this department at West Ham. James Collins (FB:4.0m MO:5.9m) offers a cheaper alternative and is expected to start his 9th match on the bounce.

High Risk Manchester United (H) stack vs. Stoke

The last defensive stack and the riskiest choice in our lineup is Manchester United. Fresh from their 3-1 victory over Derby in the FA Cup, they looked better than they have done all season and have an extra days rest over their opposition. Stoke arrive at Old Trafford having failed to find the net in back-to-back Premier League games and repeatedly rely on the exploits of Jack Butland to maintain a hold of matches. This is not important when searching for Man United's clean sheet potential, but the fact that Marko Arnautovic, who has contributed to almost half (11) of Stoke's 24 goals this season, has now failed to score in his last 3 Premier League games is definitely something to take note of. Therefore, David De Gea (FB:5.5m MO:7.8m) is an excellent choice for Gameweek 24 the Real Madrid target is a bonus points magnet, after saving 51 shots this season. The other player that could prove a great differential on is Guillermo Varela (FB:4.0m MO:5.2m). Especially on Mondogoal as he has made an average of 4.7 tackles and 1.7 dribbles, per game this season. If the Uruguayan gets the nod at right back, following Ashley Young's injury, then don't be afraid to select him.
