Welcome back to another Fantasy Championship five tips for Gameweek 31 article. Joe Dean returns with his top five tips ahead of Gameweek 31 in the English Championship. It was another dramatic week in the championship both on and off the field. Struggling Rotherham sacked Neil Redfern on Monday following defeat to Bolton and have replaced him with the experienced Neil Warnock. Derby also parted company with their Paul Clement this week in a seemingly rash decision with the Rams 5th in the table. Former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson is the favourite to take the helm at Pride Park. Bristol City's wait for a new manager is over as they appointed former Barnsley manager Lee Johnson. His father Gary has also had a spell in charge of the Robins On the pitch, Burnley won the big top of the table clash at Turf Moor against Hull and Middlesbrough failed to win again, although Jordan Rhodes did score his first for the club with an injury time leveller at the MK Dons. The bottom 4 went head to head with Bolton beating Rotherham to continue their mini-revival while Bristol City claimed a vital win at Charlton. Here are our five tips for Gameweek 30. Tip 1 Blackburn to shock Hull City.

Although very steady, Paul Lambert is starting to make progress with his Blackburn side. They earned an impressive point at Middlesbrough last week and will be hoping to build on that when they host high-flying Hull. With teams below them starting to pick up results, Rovers will be starting to look over their shoulder with only 6 points separating them from the bottom 3. They haven't won in 8 games but I can see them using a relatively solid backline to be the foundation of a shock win on Saturday. Hull were very lacklustre at Burnley and will want a response but may find it very difficult at Ewood Park. If Blackburn are to win, they're probably going to need a clean sheet as they've struggled for goals. Tommy Spurr (MO:6.2m, FB:4.5m) and Grant Hanley (MO:7.8m, FB:5.5m) are regulars in the Rovers' back 4 while January signing Jordi Gomez (MO:7.8m, FB:6.0m) will want to add to his debut goal at Boro.

Tip 2 Wednesday to win big against Brentford.

Brentford suffered their 4th defeat in 6 games last weekend as they were brushed aside by Brighton. It doesn't get any easier for the Bees as they go to Hillsborough to play in-form Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls are flying at the moment and will start to be thinking about achieving more than just the playoffs. Unbeaten in their last 6, Wednesday are only 6 points off the automatic spots and with the likes of Hull, Boro and Derby struggling for form, they might fancy their chances. I'm expecting the Owls to brush aside the Bees with plenty of goals. Gary Hooper (MO:7.1m, FB:8.5m) was voted Championship player of the month for January and has scored 7 in his last 5. Ross Wallace (MO:7.8m, FB:6.0m) is a very consistent performer at this level and could score big this weekend.

Tip 3 Burnley to pile the pressure on the top two.

After securing a cagey win over Hull, Burnley will want to capitalise on the lack of form their promotion rivals are showing. A strong defence and the goals of Andre Gray (MO:9.2m, FB:10.0m) means you wouldn't bet against Sean Dyche's men being there or thereabouts come the end of the season. They travel to the Madjeski to play a Reading side who are without a win in 5. Burnley should have too much for the struggling Royals. Gray is always likely to get on the scoresheet and Arfield is a real threat from midfield. Matt Lowton (MO:9.1m, FB:5.5m) will want to help continue Burnley's impressive defensive record and has the potential to assist.

Tip 4 Brighton the end Bolton's mini-revival.

Bolton have shown real spirit in recent week despite seeming doomed not too long ago. 7 points from their last 3 games has closed the gap to safety significantly, but a trip to the AmEx may be a step too far. Chris Hughton's Brighton have responded magnificently after 3 straight defeats in January. They have notched up 3 straight wins and they're only 3 points off the automatic places. The Seagulls will see this game as a great opportunity to pick up another win and potentially gain more ground on the teams above. Anthony Knockaert (MO:8.6m, FB:8.0m) has hit the ground running at Brighton and David Stockdale (MO:7.2m, FB:5.0m) is one of the best keepers in the league and will want to add to his 9 clean sheets.

Tip 5 Faltering Fulham to lose again.

Despite having a squad that should be competing right at the top of the league, Fulham have only managed 1 win since October. Going forward they are extremely dangerous but at the other end the Cottagers are haemorrhaging goals. Only 2 teams have conceded more and with the quality that their opponents on Saturday have, their backline could be in the firing line once more. QPR are starting the level of performances that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was hired to produce. Unbeaten in their last 6 and following a win over playoff chasing Ipswich, a home game against Fulham will be an attractive proposition. Matt Phillips (MO:N/A, FB:11.5m) and Conor Washington (MO:N/A, FB:8.5m) should have the firepower between them to see off Fulham.
