Well we are over a quarter the way through another roller-coaster of a FPL season, and wow Leicester, Lundstram and Chelsea are making us tear up our teams and start again. FPL Gods like Salah and Kane are underperforming and Aguero is being dropped! Pukki who started so hot is now missing sitters and part of a Norwich squad which has more injuries than we have ever seen, with back up players dropping like fly's.
Aguero, the problem?
Leicester racked up a 14-0 win against two teams. This tore up our FPL script and gave us flashbacks to Tadic and Pelle in that infamous GW8 Southampton riot, now the shoe is on the other foot and the south coast team are in a perilous position after losing 3-1 to Man City's B team in an ominous dress-rehersal of Saturday's 3pm Kick Off. One thing that should be noted is that both Leicester's routs came against teams who went down to 10 men early on and collapsed mentally after a few quick fire goals. But what we know is Sterling and De Bruyne should play so if you have these assets stick with them and captain them, what we don't know is whether Jesus or Aguero will be preferred.

Now on to City:
Statistically, Aguero beats out Jesus and Sterling is a statistical phenom who hasn't quite translated his dominance from the UCL and International football into too many Premier League hauls.
So then the next issue is how does Pep rotate his strikers, keeping them in form and fit. There is an argument that he likes Jesus for high pressing matches against particularly away fixtures, so with a game against Atalanta coming up to potentially seal City's place in the UCL knockout round it could make sense to give Aguero Southampton, Jesus Atalanta away from home and then Aguero is fit and rested and in form for the potential title decider vs Liverpool. If he doesn't go this way he risks having the best forward in the league with only a few days between an away tie in Italy and the biggest game of City's season, regardless of whether Pep prefers Jesus for the Liverpool match or not, potential losing the option of Aguero to fatigue or injury is a management no-no.
It's a gamble, but Aguero could get Southampton! Cue a missed penalty in a 0-0 draw!
