When is a gameweek not a gameweek? This week. Yes, with four fixtures on the weekend agenda, this might be one to forget for a handful of managers and especially for those who have already played their free hit or wildcard chips.

Because this is the week where a form of at least temporary transformation may be required and although playing your wildcard with so few available options might not make the most sense, it could offer some form of advantage over your rivals.

For those who have shot their bolt early and already played both get out of jail free cards, the next few days are going to be an incredible struggle and for those who possess a free hit, this may mean maximum differential.

An opportunity to increase your lead at the top or an opportunity to tilt the title race in your direction. The power is in your hands and for those stand in players, their job will be to earn as many points as possible.

Of course, those points come largely through the highest scorers in the land and with that in mind, lets now look at the the top 10 who are currently operating at the peak of the FPL points scoring table.

There is no change at the top of the tree, as Bruno Fernandes stays at the top of the FPL mountain and in doing so, has also increased his advantage over Harry Kane in second. For a previous 24-point lead, you must now read 25 instead.

The Portuguese midfielder is the only player to surpass the 200-point barrier and Harry Kane would have wished a positive performance against Arsenal last Sunday, then bestowed him the same honour.

However, the England international had to make do with a blank against the Gunners and things were a lot worse for his teammate Heung min-Son, as the South Korean international limped off after 19 minutes.

That hamstring injury will have FPL managers reaching for the transfer button, as although the former Bayer Leverkusen star is currently third in the overall points list, he will not be there for much longer.

Eventually Mohamed Salah will make up the points difference � although inactivity this weekend means he will have to wait a little longer and once Liverpool next take to the field, expect the Egyptian to move into third in the table.

These four have been the dominant quartet in this FPL season, although Emiliano Martinez is doing his best to break through and were it not for conceding a late goal away at Newcastle, there would have been another round of clean sheet points awarded.

Martinez finds himself five points clear of Jamie Vardy and with the Leicester forward impressing at the King Power, he moves above Patrick Bamford in sixth. Not to mention, the Leeds striker limped off in the 0-0 draw with Chelsea last Saturday.

It's quite a meteoric rise for Vardy, as he moves up three places and another name that is on the slide this week is none other than Manchester City's Ilkay Gündogan, as the German international is two points clear of Marcus Rashford in eighth.

While Aaron Cresswell slides back out of the top 10 and taking the place of the West Ham defender is Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The Everton forward may have been on the losing side at the weekend, but at least he managed to bag himself a goal against Burnley.
