Premier League GW10 Starts Friday 27th November 2020

We're now a quarter into the latest edition of this annual Premier League drama and with the fixtures coming thick and fast, it means the potential for additional stress or strains on your select band of 15 superstars.

That's before you try and navigate the minefield which is a positive COVID-19 diagnosis and with that threat still somewhat lingering at large, it could make your FPL squad selection even more difficult.

However, if you can navigate such choppy waters before the busy festive period, it should set you in good stead for your own fantasy title tilt and if that is to be the case, you are going to need to own a number of respectable point scorers.

Which brings us nicely to the current top 10 highest earners and with that in mind, lets look at the movers and shakers at the end of gameweek 9:

We witness a return to the shared top spot in Tottenham, as teammate Harry Kane and Heung-min Son are doing their best FPL tag-team efforts, with the former bagging an assist and the latter getting the opener against Manchester City last Saturday.

With both players continuing their hot streaks in terms of form, it cannot be a case of FPL either or, it must simply be both in terms of selection and no matter what creative budgeting you may need to do, breaking the bank for Kane and Son is seriously advised.

They currently find themselves 14 points clear of Dominic-Calvert Lewin, who after scoring a brace last Sunday at Fulham has seemingly rediscovered his goalscoring mojo and moved ahead of Mohamed Salah in the charts.

The Egyptian international was unable to take to the field after testing positive for COVID and he would be joined in isolation (not literally) by Wilfried Zaha, who subsequently missed Crystal Palace's trip to Burnley for the same reasons.

In fifth Bruno Fernandes has continued his recent points haul and by dragging Manchester United up the table almost single handed, the Portuguese international is making a very solid case for FPL inclusion across the world.

While hoping to be playing across Europe or at least representing England at the European Champions is Jack Grealish and he finds himself in joint-sixth with a player who may need to be awoken from his own international slumber, that being Jamie Vardy.

Talking of slumber, it was an unproductive week for Patrick Bamford as he drew a blank against Arsenal on Sunday and although he only picked up two points, he has increased his advantage over Callum Wilson to five points.

While if you are looking for some defender love as well, it is Kurt Zouma who straddles the top of this chart and with 54 points to his name, the Chelsea defender is looking value for money at present.

Did You Know?

Liverpool are undefeated in 40 of their last 44 matches (Premier League). They may have extended their home record to 64 league games unbeaten on Sunday, now it is about doing the job away from home once more.

Manchester United have won their last 7 away matches (Premier League). A statistic that does not necessarily bode well for Southampton. Then again, the Saints have not lost any of their last 7 either home or away.

Talking of lucky number 7, that is the same run of unbeaten results that Chelsea have notched up under Frank Lampard and they are only bettered by Tottenham, who themselves have not tasted defeat in their last 8. Will something give when the two sides face each other on Sunday?

Sheff Utd have lost 11 of their last 12 matches (Premier League). It's a terrible run across the tail end of last season and this, just one point from the last 36 that have been put on offer and things are starting to look desperate for Chris Wilder.

Then again, the same can also be said for his weekend counterpart Slaven Bilic and with West Brom yet to win any of their first nine Premier League outings, do not be surprised if one manager is shown the exit door at the end of week 10.
