Matchday 29 Preview

Fulham vs Leeds

Only a handful of Premier League games this weekend, but these four are no less important and the action gets underway at Craven Cottage on Friday night. Fulham played here last Saturday and lost to Manchester City, which means they will look to bounce back in their bid to stave off relegation.

They go up against a Leeds side who presented us all with a rarity last weekend and that was a draw. The stalemate with Chelsea was only the third time that they've shared the points this season.

Prediction: Fulham 2-1 Leeds

Brighton vs Newcastle

This is official relegation ‘six-pointer' territory and to be honest although a draw would add a point to both Brighton and Newcastle's collective tallies, it does nothing to help either in the grand scheme of survival.

Brighton managed to earn maximum points away at Southampton last Sunday, while Newcastle salvaged a draw in the dying seconds of their home clash with Aston Villa last Friday evening.

Prediction: Brighton 2-0 Newcastle

West Ham vs Arsenal

Are West Ham beginning to run out of steam at just the wrong time? Two defeats in their last three league outings may suggest that and if the Hammers are still possessing dreams of European football next season, they will have to return to winnings ways as soon as possible.

They place host to Arsenal this weekend and the Gunners will be buoyant after their North London derby success last Sunday. Now Mikel Arterta's men will look to collect further local bragging rights.

Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Arsenal

Aston Villa vs Tottenham

Just two points from the last nine of offer suggests that Aston Villa's season is coming to an end and although a lack of European football next season will be a disappointment, one must not forget the incredible improvement they have achieved since the previous campaign.

They play host to Tottenham on Sunday and you get the feeling that each Premier League game is now win or bust for Jose Mourinho's men. One more defeat and their top four hopes will be done.

Prediction: Aston Villa 1-2 Tottenham
