Sheffield United vs West Brom
A relegation ‘six-pointer' is on the midweek agenda, as the two bottom clubs face each other at Bramall Lane and with Sheffield United recently tasting league victory for the first time this season, they will be hoping that a second serving can keep their slim hopes of survival alive.
That's because they go up against a West Brom side who faced similar relegation fodder at the weekend and now the Baggies will look to build on their 2-2 home draw with Fulham on Saturday.
Prediction: Sheffield United 1-1 West Brom
Wolves vs Arsenal
It's now no win in eight league outings for Wolves and although they are not quite in a relegation battle, it is an incredibly worrying run of results, especially as there seemingly issues at both ends of the field.
This midweek sees them go up against Arsenal and with the Gunners not losing any of their last seven league outings, they currently possess the second longest unbeaten streak in the division.
Prediction: Wolves 0-2 Arsenal
Manchester United vs Southampton
Just when you thought it was safe to declare Manchester United as genuine title contenders, they proceed to pick up just one point from the last six on offer and in doing so, the Red Devils have ceded ground to their crosstown rivals Manchester City.
They will look to get their title hopes back on track, as they play host to Southampton and with the Saints having lost their last three league outings, they will be looking to end this slump in form.
Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Southampton
Newcastle vs Crystal Palace
It is fair to say that Newcastle found a rather timely win on Saturday, as they got the better of Everton at Goodison Park and in doing so, the Magpies earned a first league win in their last 10 attempts, while also moving clear of the relegation zone.
This midweek sees them play host to Crystal Palace and with Roy Hodgson's men picking up a vital weekend win of their own, they will now look to build on that at St James' Park.
Prediction: Newcastle 1-0 Crystal Palace
Burnley vs Manchester City
Burnley's last showing against Chelsea was not one for the attacking purists, in fact the Clarets did no attacking at all at Stamford Bridge and although they failed in the role of spoiler, they will look to do the exact same in midweek.
That's because they play host to a Manchester City side, who are soaring clear at the top of the table and with such a watertight defence, they are doing so without the talents of Sergio Aguero.
Prediction: Burnley 0-2 Manchester City
Fulham vs Leicester
Fulham's tactic of trying to draw their way to relegation safety is not quite working and although they are avoiding defeat in the main, they are failing to show that additional cutting edge when it really matters.
Next up is the visit of Leicester and with the Foxes only picking up one point from the last six on offer, you would have to say that they are certainly missing the talents of Jamie Vardy at present.
Prediction: Fulham 0-2 Leicester
Leeds vs Everton
You never know what you are going to get with Leeds and although this makes for good entertainment, it makes for a nightmare when trying to offer a match prediction. With that said, next up is the visit of Everton and their inconsistency does not help all that much either.
The Toffees found themselves in a sticky situation at the weekend, as they lost to Newcastle and due to this result, they missed out on an opportunity to move into the top five of the Premier League table.
Prediction: Leeds 1-1 Everton
Aston Villa vs West Ham
There may have been a large semblance of fortune in Aston Villa's win over Southampton on Saturday night, as VAR found in their favour by the smallest of margins. Then again, that would arguably do a disservice to the talents of both Jack Grealish and Ross Barkley.
These two will be looking to lead Villa to more good fortune on Wednesday, as they play host to a West Ham side who were beaten by Liverpool last weekend and after that, have now tasted defeat for the first time in seven matches.
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 West Ham
Liverpool vs Brighton
It seems as if the defending champions are returning to their usual capabilities and with Jurgen Klopp's men recording successive league victories, the January clouds over Anfield should now lead to some February sunshine.
Something that they will hope is the case, as they play host to Brighton and after getting the better of Tottenham on Sunday, Graham Potter's men have put daylight between themselves and Fulham in the battle to avoid the drop.
Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Brighton
Tottenham vs Chelsea
Are the wheels falling off for Tottenham? On the evidence of the last two league outings, you would have to say that this is the case and with no Harry Kane to call upon, you only need to look at their performance against Brighton as evidence of such a downfall.
While things will not get any easier this Thursday, as they play host to local rivals Chelsea and with Thomas Tuchel finding a first win on Sunday, he will now look to build on Sunday's success against Burnley.
Prediction: Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea
