Everton vs Chelsea

After a Merseyside mauling on Wednesday, things are looking incredibly bleak for Everton and with them starting the weekend in the bottom three, any statement suggesting that they are ‘too big a club to go down' has seemingly been nullified.

There is no doubt they are in a relegation battle and with Chelsea arriving to Goodison Park on Saturday, things could get a lot worse before there's any hint of them getting better.

Prediction: Everton 1-3 Chelsea

Bournemouth vs Liverpool

Four straight defeats for Bournemouth has left the Cherries languishing in mid-table and manager Eddie Howe will be hoping his team can awake from the current slumber that they are in, although it may take at least another week for this to be the case.

That's because the Vitality Stadium plays host to a red hot Liverpool and if they are anything like how they played on Wednesday, it could be another emphatic win on the cards.

Prediction: Bournemouth 0-3 Liverpool

Tottenham vs Burnley

The honeymoon period is certainly over for Jose Mourinho and although defeat to Manchester United is one that will be difficult to take, the focus will soon shift to the visit of Burnley on Saturday.

Sean Dyche's men were no match for Manchester City on Tuesday night, but they will look to put that to one side and instead, look to take advantage of a Tottenham side that simply does not keep clean sheets.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Burnley

Watford vs Crystal Palace

Hayden Mullins was given the Watford reigns on Wednesday night and his burgeoning managerial career got off to the worst possible start, as the Premier League's basement side lost to Leicester at the King Power Stadium.

This Saturday sees them play host to a Crystal Palace side that have won their last two league outings and will be confident of extending that run to three this weekend.

Prediction: Watford 0-1 Crystal Palace

Manchester City vs Manchester United

Manchester City may have made light work of Burnley earlier in the week but dropped points elsewhere this season looks to have been their undoing and with that in mind, a third successive Premier League title is now unlikely.

Next on the agenda is the small matter of the Manchester derby and with United getting the better of Tottenham on Wednesday, Ole's boys will certainly have a spring in their step for this one.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Manchester United

Newcastle vs Southampton

If Newcastle's attackers could also score on a regular basis, then this team would be pretty handy. As it stands though, it is Steve Bruce's defenders who are digging their attackers out of some awkward goal scoring holes.

It will probably more of the same when Southampton visit on Sunday and with the Saints going through something of a resurgence, they will look to add more points to the board and move up the table.

Prediction: Newcastle 1-1 Southampton

Norwich vs Sheffield United

Norwich's own momentum was halted in midweek as they lost the all-important ‘six-pointer' to Southampton and with Daniel Farke's men four points from safety, they know that margin cannot get any bigger over the next few weeks.

Instead they will look to close the gap and with Sheffield United coming to Carrow Road on Sunday, the opportunity to pick up much needed points may end up passing them by.

Prediction: Norwich 1-1 Sheffield United

Aston Villa vs Leicester

Dean Smith's men are just picking up enough points to keep their heads above water and although they have looked impressive at times, you do get the feeling that their level of performances does not equate to the number of points earned.

This Sunday sees them play host to a Leicester side, who have won their last seven league matches and even though this is a local derby, they will be confident of making it eight in a row.

Prediction: Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester

Brighton vs Wolves

Graham Potter was recently awarded a new contract by the Brighton board and one of the reasons for that, would have been the Seagulls impressive form at The Amex this season, something they will look to continue on Sunday.

However, they play host to a Wolves side who have not lost any of their last ten Premier League outings and if this run continues, a return to Europe next season could well be on the cards.

Prediction: Brighton 2-2 Wolves

West Ham vs Arsenal

After getting the better of Chelsea last week, it is fair to say that West Ham reverted to type in midweek and after losing to Wolves, Manuel Pellegrini's men find themselves just two points from safety at present.

This Monday night they play host to Arsenal and with interim manager Freddie Ljungberg looking for the results that will give him the job full time, three points could be there for the taking in East London.
