West Ham vs Tottenham
At the start of the week, this fixture had an air of not just London derby but P45 also and although Tottenham have already sorted out the managerial status (and in double quick time) the pressure is still on the West Ham head coach.
Manuel Pellegrini has failed to oversee a win in any of West Ham's last six league outings and going up against Jose Mourinho could not have come at a worse time. Could this be the afternoon where the Chilean's bubble is burst?
Prediction: West Ham 0-1 Tottenham
Watford vs Burnley
Have Watford finally got their season underway? Victory over Norwich before the international hiatus would suggest that they have and they will now look to build on that success, as they play host to Burnley on Saturday.
Sean Dyche's men returned to winning ways before the break, as they got the better of a lacklustre West Ham and that win has seen the Clarets return to the top half of the Premier League table.
Prediction: Watford 2-1 Burnley
Arsenal vs Southampton
After defeat to Leicester almost a fortnight ago, Arsenal now find themselves nine points off of a Champions League place and you would have to say that their hopes of a top four finish at the end of the season, are now diminishing with every week that passes.
This Saturday sees them play host to a Southampton side that are second bottom at the start of the weekend and time is running out for manager Ralph Hasenhuttl to turn things around. Could this be his last hurrah?
Predicition: Arsenal 2-0 Southampton
Bournemouth vs Wolves
More evidence that Bournemouth blow hot and cold was on show before the international break, as Eddie Howe's men lost to Newcastle at St James' Park and because of that result, they missed the opportunity to go fifth in the table.
This weekend sees them play host to a Wolves side who got the better of Aston Villa in their last outing and the Europa League representatives are now unbeaten in their last seven league matches.
Prediction: Bournemouth 2-2 Wolves
Brighton vs Leicester
When it comes to survival hopes, Brighton will certainly increase theirs if they continue to record home wins and when you consider that they have picked up 10 of the last 12 points on offer at The AMEX, they are doing their chances of staying up no harm at all.
However, this weekend could be a bit trickier, as they play host to an in-form Leicester side and under manager Brendan Rodgers, they now look set to last the distance in the race for a top four place.
Prediction: Brighton 1-3 Leicester
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool
Crystal Palace have had a wretched run of results as of late, although there is the rather large caveat of them having incredibly tough fixtures to deal with. Unfortunately, life does not get any easier this weekend, as they play host to league leaders Liverpool.
The Reds extended their dominance over the rest of the division with a recent 3-1 win over Manchester City and after that result, could 2020 really be Liverpool's year? Do you know what, it might just be.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Liverpool
Everton vs Norwich
It seems as if Marco Silva has managed to remove himself from the chopping block and after earning four points from the last six that were available, Everton's plight has eased ever so slightly and with Norwich next up, the hope and expectation will be to add to their recent run of positive results.
The Canaries are now bottom of the Premier League table and they have picked up just a single point from the last 21 on offer, a run that suggests the mid-winter could be very bleak for Norwich.
Prediction: Everton 2-0 Norwich
Manchester City vs Chelsea
Not many people would have expected Manchester City to be lying fourth in the table at this point of the season and after defeat to Liverpool, the hopes of winning a third successive Premier League look to be diminishing.
This Saturday evening sees them play host to a Chelsea side who have won all of their last six league outings and they subsequently find themselves a place above City in the table. This looks set to be a very interesting clash indeed.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Chelsea
Sheffield United vs Manchester United
The divisions surprise act will be out to claim another major scalp this Sunday and with Sheffield United starting the weekend lying fifth in the table, there is every chance that they could give Manchester United a real headache.
Ole Gunnar Solskajer's men have certainly been stop-start this season and you never really know what version of the Red Devils you are going to get. I guess we will know the answer come full-time.
Prediction: Sheffield United 1-0 Manchester United
Aston Villa vs Newcastle
There is no doubting that Aston Villa possess an attacking threat and 17 league goals this season would be positive proof of that. Unfortunately, their defensive has been far too generous and by conceding 20 goals, they seem to be undoing all their positive goalscoring work.
This Monday night they will look to close the drawbridge at Villa Park, as they play host to a Newcastle side who have won their last two league outings and are now looking up the table. Can Steve Bruce's men make it three in a row?
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 Newcastle
