Crystal Palace vs Newcastle
Another round of Premier League action gets underway on Friday night, as Crystal Palace play host to Newcastle and with the Eagles having their wings clipped by Burnley at the start of the week, Roy Hodgson will be hoping that his players can return to winning ways at Selhurst Park.
They go up against a Magpies side that were awfully meek at home to Chelsea last Saturday and were it not for the Blues being profligate in front of goal, they could have ended up being thrashed.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-0 Newcastle
Brighton vs Liverpool
Last Saturday saw the Seagulls earn their second league win of the season, as they got the better of Aston Villa and manager Graham Potter will hope that is the result, which provides his players with a springboard in which to utilise.
However, that momentum may be curtailed as quickly as it has begun, as champions Liverpool come to town and even with numerous injuries, they were still no match for Leicester last Sunday.
Prediction: Brighton 0-2 Liverpool
Manchester City vs Burnley
When will Manchester City's season finally begin? That is the question that Pep Guardiola will be asking himself, as the early season favourites are severely struggling to live up to their tag and they can ill afford to cede any further ground to those outfits at the top of the table.
This weekend sees them go up against a Burnley side who finally earned their first win of the season on Monday night. However, earning back to back success, may prove to be a step too far.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Burnley
Everton vs Leeds
After getting the better of Fulham, the Toffees have seemingly removed themselves from a sticky situation and with a first win in four league matches recorded last Sunday, manager Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping that the club's early season form is quickly rediscovered.
They play host to Leeds on Saturday and although Marcelo Bielsa will have taken a point against Arsenal last Sunday, he and his players know that they should have ended up taking all three.
Prediction: Everton 2-1 Leeds
West Brom vs Sheffield United
Is it too early to label this a relegation “six pointer”? Perhaps. However, this could be the final eliminator for the sack race, as these two sides are not only searching for that elusive first win of the season but also occupy the bottom pair of rungs on the league ladder.
For West Brom it was an unfortunate defeat to Manchester United last Saturday, while for the Blades they were outdone by West Ham. Something will have to give this weekend.
Prediction: West Brom 0-0 Sheffield United
Southampton vs Manchester United
The Saints missed an opportunity to go third in the Premier League table on Monday, as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Wolves at Molineux. Then again, it was a result that means Ralph Hasenhuttl's men are currently seven games unbeaten and will look to make it eight on Sunday.
To do so, they will have to get the better of Manchester United and after winning back to back league outing, is it too early to proclaim Ole has taken control of the steering wheel again?
Prediction: Southampton 1-1 Manchester United
Chelsea vs Tottenham
The master versus the apprentice, that is how this one will be labelled and when you consider Chelsea have beaten Tottenham in their last two league meetings, it seems as if Frank Lampard has schooled Jose Mourinho.
However, with Spurs being top of the table, that could be set to change this weekend and the North Londoners need to ask themselves whether this is a must win game or a do not lose instead.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham
Arsenal vs Wolves
Arsenal fans have been told to trust the process under Mikel Arteta and at present, it almost seems to be blind faith at the Emirates, as the Gunners find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
This Sunday they play host to a Wolves side, who find themselves starting the weekend in the top half and Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping his players can edge closer to the group of frontrunners.
Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Wolves
Leicester vs Fulham
It is fair to say the Foxes were tamed last Sunday, as they failed to show any bite against Liverpool and with the champions being so depleted, it can only be considered as a missed opportunity to regain top spot.
Talking of missed opportunities, Fulham know this subject all too well and after another missed effort from 12 yards, manager Scott Parker must add penalties to his growing list of concerns.
Prediction: Leicester 3-0 Fulham
West Ham vs Aston Villa
If you would have suggested that these two teams would be in the top half after nine weeks of the season, you may have got some funny looks. However, credit must go to West Ham and Aston Villa for their efforts thus far.
The Hammers will look to continue their recent upward mobility with a win on Monday, while Villa will look to bounce back after suffering a somewhat controversial defeat to Brighton last Saturday.
Prediction: West Ham 2-2 Aston Villa
