A TREBLE AWAY DAY

The most prevalent theme this weekend seems to be the strugglers versus the contenders and with three relegation threatened candidates playing host to a trio of clubs at the sharpest end of the table, there is every chance an away day treble could get itself over the line.

The first leg of this awesome threesome sees Leicester travel to Norwich and although the Foxes don't quite have the bite they possessed in the first half of the campaign, they should prove to be too big a test for an ever-despondent Norwich.

If Friday's first leg is completed, the focus then moves to the Vitality Stadium as an ailing Bournemouth play host to Chelsea and although the hosts got the better of Frank Lamaprd's men earlier in the season, a double against the Blues looks somewhat unlikely.

While the third leg of our tasty treble takes us to Vicarage Road, as Watford play host to runaway league leaders Liverpool and although the Reds were made to work for all three points on Monday, they managed to keep their unbeaten juggernaut moving in the right direction.

With the three visitors in a much stronger position in terms of league standing, they will be well placed to all pick up maximum points and with that in mind, you can pick up odds of just over 4.00 should they all come good. A price that cannot be considered anything in the way of poor value.
Summary: Back Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool in a treble.

CLARETS STAIN NEWCASTLE

At the end of the 22nd gameweek of the season, Burnley's plight was looking somewhat precarious and with a relatively tough run of fixtures on the horizon, there was every chance that Sean Dyche's men could be dragged into the relegation zone.

However, the last five outings have shown that pundits sometimes make big mistakes and with the Clarets picking up 13 points from the last 15 on offer, there is now a real possibility of them qualifying for Europe next season.

That said, another entry into the Europa League is the last thing that Sean Dyche will want, especially as it severely cost them in the first half of the previous campaign and with that in mind, these next few weeks will be a true test of Burnley's ambition.

Then again, whether Europe or not is seriously on the agenda, they should have more than enough in the tank to get the better of a Newcastle side that has struggled of late and with no win in their last four, Steve Bruce is starting to find life difficult at just the wrong time.

Burnley go into this game as the slight underdog, which is somewhat surprising and therefore there is every chance some value can be extracted from this one. It might not be pretty, but the visitors to win at odds of 2.9 should be considered.
Summary: Burnley to win at Newcastle.

WOLVES ATTACK SPURS

This weekend sees another key encounter in what now looks like being the battle for fifth and although that may pay out a Champions League position at the end of the season, neither Tottenham or Wolves can be too reliant on a UEFA ruling to do them a massive favour.

While when it comes to reliance, it seems as if Jose Mourinho is going to have to once again look at both Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn to score the goals for Tottenham and on the evidence of their last two outings, this is something that hasn't worked.

Which will undoubtedly play into the hands of a Wolves side who have kept clean sheets in their last three Premier League outings and even though they have European exploits in midweek, it should not knock them off their domestic stride.

That's because with Nuno Espirito Santo's men possessing a 4-0 advantage over Espanyol, Wolves can make wholesale changes in Spain and that will put them in fine fettle by the time they make the trip to North London on Sunday.

If Wolves score first, that will make life even tougher for Tottenham and should that be the case, you cannot see the hosts scoring two goals at home. With that in mind, the visitors can be backed to earn all three points at odds of 3.2, another one that is worth your consideration.
Summary: Back Wolves for a happy away day in the capital.
