SURELY SOMEONE LOSES THE SACK RACE?

This must be the weekend that a Premier League manager leaves their post. Now I'm not advocating for anyone to lose their job, but surely time will run out for one of the group of men that are currently in the firing line.

Especially when you consider the form that both Southampton and West Ham are in as of late, as between them neither side has won a Premier League game in their last fifteen combined attempts � a run that could spell serious trouble for both or either of Ralph Hasenhuttl and Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the week.

Of course, that's not to suggest that they are the only two men who are currently in the firing line and just when you thought that Marco Silva had removed his head from the chopping block, it looks as if the guillotine is getting prepared once again.

While, when discussing the men who are competing in the latest round of the sack race, we cannot forget Unai Emery either and when you consider that Arsenal have failed to win any of their last five league outings, the Emirates hierarchy will now have their finger on the proverbial trigger.

If Arsenal fail to get the better of Norwich on Sunday, then the hours that follow might be the time when it finally gets pulled and with confidence in the former Sevilla manager fading fast, will he be the next man to leave a Premier League post?

MOUVING ON UP

With Jose Mourinho now taking the reigns at Tottenham, the season really does start now for the North Londoners and although there was a nervy ending to their win over West Ham last weekend, you would have to say that there has already been a transformative feeling within the squad.

Ultimately the objective for Tottenham is to hunt down the nine-point gap between themselves and Chelsea and in doing so force their way back into the top four, with a place in next season's Champions League as the reward.

Of course, they could still win Europe's premier club competition, but that does not mean that domestic matters are going to be sacrificed because of it and with Bournemouth making the trip to the capital this weekend, Spurs will be confident of picking up all three points.

If you think Jose Mourinho can continue his 100% record as Tottenham manager, then you can back his new cabal of stars to win at odds of 1.40. Although, let's be honest, that is not going to make your rich anytime soon.

Therefore, why don't we think outside (or should that be inside the box) instead let's go for Harry Kane to score first and Tottenham to win 3-0 at the rather juicy odds of 21.0. Something to get the retirement fund open, I'm sure you will agree.

A TOP FOUR-FOLD

With the way the fixtures have fallen this weekend, there doesn't seem to be a great deal of value (and even if you think Arsenal are value, I wouldn't be touching them with a bargepole right now) therefore, we may have to combine quite a few fixtures just to get a hint of a decent return.

A few weeks ago, I opted for the top four in a tasty four-fold and with three of them being at home this weekend, it makes sense to try it again � even if Manchester City are playing away at Newcastle lunchtime and they do say never bet on the early kickoff.

However, I'm going to throw caution to the wind and Manchester City are going to be the first of this four legged bet and unless you don't know what the league table looks like at present, that means that the trio of Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester will be added to the mix.

Liverpool � because they have such an incredible run at home and Brighton have the inverse of that on the road.
Chelsea � because West Ham will probably play Roberto in goal, although you could argue they would be better with no goalkeeper right now.
Leicester � because they are playing an Everton side who are approaching the end of days of Marco Silva.

All four together returns evens and although it doesn't sound great, this value bloodhound cannot seem to sniff out anymore this weekend. So sometimes the relatively simple bets end up making the most sense.
