THE SACK RACE LATEST ODDS
After the events of the past weekend, there has been a lot of movement in this particular market and it perhaps unsurprisingly involves Ralph Hasenhuttl - who after overseeing his Southampton side ship nine goals to Leicester last week, now looks to be skating on very thin ice.
Especially when you consider that the Saints travel to the Etihad this weekend to face Manchester City and if the defending champions really fancy turning it on, we could be set for another cricket score at full-time.
Looking at the current sack race odds, there has been a lot of interest in Hasenhuttl getting the chop, although a lot of that would have followed straight after the mauling that Southampton received last Friday night.
While with the Austrian getting a stay of execution for another week and some other contenders also suffering defeats across the course of the weekend, the market has now settled down to look like this:
Ralph Hasenhuttl (Southampton) 2.10
Marco Silva (Everton) 4.00
Unai Emery (Arsenal) 5.00 to 11.00
Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham) 7.00 to 15.00
With Southampton away at Manchester City and Everton playing host to Tottenham on Sunday, could this be the weekend in which the second manager of the season leaves a Premier League post?
RED DEVILS BECOME TOO HOT
After a much improved showing against Liverpool and a relatively comfortable win over Norwich in their last two league outings, it seems as if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has wrestled back control of the wheel at Manchester United.
While such is the topsy-turvy nature of the Premier League this season, the Red Devils start the weekend lying 7th in the table and all of the sudden the pressure has eased off the shoulders of the Norwegian manager.
Which is also reflected by the fact that he is no longer in the top quartet of managers tipped to lose their job anytime soon. That said, it doesn't mean that the 1999 Champions League winner can rest on his laurels either.
They travel to the Vitality Stadium this Saturday, to face a Bournemouth side who have not won any of their last four league matches and when you combine the uplift in United's form, odds of 2.20 for them to win on South Coast looks incredibly value.
Summary: Manchester United to record back to back Premier League wins.
TOFFEES CRUMBLE ON MERSEYSIDE
Tottenham make their second trip to Merseyside in as many weeks and after suffering a rather frustrating loss to Liverpool last weekend, they will look to avoid a double of defeats this Sunday afternoon.
That's because they make the visit to Everton while finding themselves in the bottom half of the table and the fact that they are playing last in the upcoming league schedule, means that their position could worsen even further.
That said, at least they are not Marco Silva's men right now and with the Toffees finding themselves in an even more precarious position at present, there is no doubting that both teams go into this clash knowing this is a must-win fixture.
However, for all the faults that Tottenham have had this season, there can be little argument that they still have more than enough quality within in their ranks and with Everton fairing worse as of late, odds of Spurs to win at 2.50 should be heavily considered.
Summary: Tottenham bounce back and beat the blue half of Merseyside.
A LACK OF ENTERTAINMENT IN EAST LONDON
After a rich run of form which saw West Ham go six games unbeaten, recent results have seen the outlook turned on its head in East London and as a consequence, the Hammers have now failed to win any of their last four league outings.
Last Saturday they were held at home during a rather uninspiring draw with Sheffield United and this weekend they will look for better fortunes, as they play host to a Newcastle side who have only scored six goals all season.
Therefore, Manuel Pellegrini's men may well be able to bounce back and finally return to winning ways this weekend. Although don't expect a hatful of goals and that's why backing under 2.5 in total at 1.91 should be heavily considered.
Summary: Under 2.5 in total looks the order of the day at the London Stadium.
TOP FOUR DOMINATE
If you think all four members of the top four will win this weekend, with those games being:
Aston Villa vs Liverpool
Manchester City vs Southampton
Crystal Palace vs Leicester
Watford vs Chelsea
You can back a four-fold at odds of 4.25/1 and with the way those fixtures have fallen, that is not the worst bet that you will ever place.
