For the punter who prefers to make the informed kind of choice, this is the website for you and with that in mind, here are some top tips for your consideration, as we look ahead to the opening weekend of the season.

CHALLENGERS KEEP IT CLEAN

With Manchester City and Liverpool duking it out in the Community Shield on Sunday, the second half displayed just how attacking these two sides are going to be throughout the duration of the season.

At the same time, that is not to say that they are going to ignore their defensive principles either and with that in mind a win to nil double involving these championship challengers, should be where some of your bankroll goes this weekend.

With Liverpool at home to EFL Championship winners Norwich and Manchester City away at a West Ham side who said goodbye to both Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll in the summer, they have both been handed favourable starts.

Not only that, but neither the Canaries nor the Hammers offer up the biggest of threats when it comes to attack and therefore odds of approximately 6/4 for both Liverpool and City to win while keeping a clean sheet looks incredibly good value.

ATTACK FIRST, DEFEND LATER

Sunday sees Leicester play host to Wolves at the King Power Stadium and with the Foxes no longer being able to call upon Harry Maguire, it does mean the Nuno Espirito Santo's men will be confident of earning a result.

Whether that result sees them earn all three points remains to be seen and the fact that they travel to Armenia on Thursday for Europa League duty, might mean the Molineux outfit have to make do with a draw.

That said, this should be a highly entertaining encounter, and much removed from any bore draw territory. With that in mind, odds of 5/6 for both teams to score is certainly worth your consideration this weekend.

KANE PUTS THE PREMIER LEAGUE ON NOTICE

After missing out on the personal accolade that comes with topping the Premier League scoring charts, Harry Kane knows that this is the time in which to claim back his possession of the Golden Boot.

In addition to that, it is not just individual honours that the England forward will be looking towards this season and there is the hope, if not the expectation that this is finally the campaign in which Tottenham lift a major trophy.

The question is whether or not Kane can end the North Londoners silverware drought and although we won't have the answer to that until February 2020 at the earliest, we will be able to answer whether or not Kane is in goalscoring form this weekend.

With the arrival of Aston Villa to Tottenham's new home this Saturday, much will be made of their large expenditure in the transfer window and especially in regard to who fills the two berths at centre-back.

Then again with the mood that Kane has been in during pre-season, it shouldn't matter what pairing he goes up against in his pursuit for a goal and you can back the 26-year-old to score first at 9/4 or anytime at 7/10.

A BORE AT TURF MOOR

Burnley and Southampton square off at Turf Moor on Saturday and although fans of these two clubs will be excited about the prospect of league football returning, it won't necessarily get the pulses racing elsewhere.

Last season these two teams met on the opening weekend of the campaign, with it being a clash that was forgotten as soon as it was played and although it might not be as dire this time around, don't expect a glut of goals either.

With Sean Dyche's Burnley squad getting ever older and Ralph Hasenhuttl's embarking on what he hopes to be a first full season with Southampton, it will be interesting to see what happens with these two outfits, while odds of 2/1 for under 1.5 goals should also be of interest as well.
