Betting Tips for Premier League - Gameweek 9

FOXES HUNT THE CHAMPIONS

Has Liverpool's injury “luck” finally caught up with them? On current evidence, you get the feeling it just might have and with Jurgen Klopp being able to name his big guns for so long, his armoury is starting to become heavily depleted.

To lose one defender is unfortunate, two is an inconvenience, three is frustrating and four is nothing short of a crisis and when you add the absence of Mohamed Salah due to COVID-19, things are not looking so rosy for Liverpool.

Which means Leicester could be poised to take advantage of the situation this weekend and when you consider that the Foxes are currently top of the table, manager Brendan Rodgers will be confident that his players can stay there come the final whistle.

The 2016 Premier League champions will look at this fixture as a true measure of whether they can launch a similar title tilt this time and when you consider the injury fortunes of Liverpool, this test might prove to be a rather easy one.

Leicester may have lost twice already this season, but they have not drawn any of their eight league outings thus far and with them picking up a win in each of their last three fixtures, there's a decent price on them extending that to four.
Summary: Back Leicester at 3.80

EVERTON RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

We're almost two weeks removed from THAT Ademola Lookman penalty against West Ham and with the focus being placed on how he deals with such embarrassment, it will be interesting to see how he fares against one of his former clubs.

This weekend sees Everton make the trip to Craven Cottage and with the Toffees currently in something of a sticky situation, manager Carlo Ancelotti will look to end their recent run of Premier League defeats.

After earning a deserved share of points in the Merseyside derby, Everton have since lost their next three league outings and after such a good start to the season, there is a sense that they are regressing to the norm.

Much was made of whether this was a side that could finally break the glass ceiling and on the evidence of the past few weeks, you would have to say that dreams of a top four finish may be nothing more than pure fantasy.

However, this weekend could see them bounce back and with Fulham yet to get their own house in order, manager Scott Parker knows that after a relatively kind start in terms of fixtures, things are going to get a lot tougher.

Which means, even though Everton are away from home, they should be heavily backed to come away from West London with all three points and at a price of 1.87, it also represents a decent bit of value.
Summary: Back Everton to win at Fulham

HAPPY PLACE, HAPPY PLACE?

If you've watched the new series of “I'm a Celebrity” you will know that according to BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, Turf Moor is a happy place. Unfortunately, for Burnley manager Sean Dyche that is far from the case.

The Clarets are still searching for their first league win of the season and with just two points earned from the first 21 that have been made available, there is very little in the way of joy in East Lancashire.

With little money spent in the summer, there is a sense that prudence has finally caught up with Burnley and just like Bournemouth and Eddie Howe last season, a lengthy managerial tenure is one that is suddenly running out of ideas.

Which means playing host to Crystal Palace this weekend is far from ideal and with the Eagles soaring in eighth position at present, manager Roy Hodgson will want his side to continue their recent positive momentum.

Momentum that should be continued if they can keep Burnley quiet and when you consider that Sean Dyche's men have scored just three goals in their first seven outings, they may end up doing the hard work for Palace themselves.

Much has been made of no home advantage thus far, which this is another thing that could play into Palace's hands and with all things considered, you should consider an away win for the South London outfit this weekend.
Summary: Back the Eagles at 2.75
