Betting Tips for Premier League - Gameweek 34+

Share post on:

First up, we need to congratulatory back patting out of the way and if you followed our home banker in the previous gameweek, you would have been a winner. Admittedly it wasn't a bank buster, but with so many of the big names on their own turf it was never going to be.

The only real shame was that Wolves also didn't get over the line, as then we would be looking at somewhere in the region of an 8.00 odds win. Still that was always the ‘approach with caution leg', so we're not going to shed too many tears.

Which means, with some form of ‘reputation' to uphold it is time to see what we can dig out this week in a quest to get a few more beer tokens in your pocket and with them now re-opening, that's perfect timing.

GUNNERS NOW FIRNIG

Arsenal are starting to become that team that really you should be writing off, but at the same time you shouldn't be writing off and with the Gunners winning their last three league outings, a European place is still not off the table.

Mikel Arteta's men find themselves on the fringes of the Europa League race and they will look to be a full part of the conversation by the end of these midweek fixtures, as they play host to third place Leicester.

The Foxes returned to winning ways on Saturday and a Jamie Vardy brace saw the former England international finally break a century of Premier League goals, as they made light work of Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium.

However, the trip to the Emirates could prove to be a lot sterner and with Brendan Rodger's men failing to win any of their last nine trips in all competitions, backing an Arsenal win seems like it could be a shrewd move.

Especially when you consider that the North London outfit are priced at the inviting value of 2.40 and with that price plus the stats above, it could mean Leicester's hopes of a top four finish take an almighty dent.
Summary: Back the Gunners to win

WATFORD TAKE HUGE STEP

While although Watford have picked up just a point from the last 15 on offer and have lost their last three league outings, there is no need for crisis at Vicarage Road yet. With that said, it is only the inability of the teams below them, which is keeping their heads above water.

Which means at some point, Nigel Pearson's men are going to have to take matters into their own hands and pick up a result for themselves. However, with the visit of Norwich in midweek, they should be provided with the perfect opportunity.

The Canaries almost looked consigned to their fate now and although they are not mathematically down, the fact that they've lost all of their last five league outings, is a run that suggests that the inevitable is around the corner.

Should Watford go on to win this, it will undoubtedly create a buzz around the Hornets' camp and could be their most vital set of maximum points. The hosts are priced at 1.67 to get the job done and this seems like one of the shrewder bets in midweek.
Summary: Back the Hornets to win

BLUES WIN LOCAL BRAGGING RIGHTS

After a minor blip in one recent London derby, Frank Lampard will not allow his Chelsea players to repeat that aberration against West Ham and with the trip to a mid-table Crystal Palace on Tuesday, they should be primed to win maximum points.

Should that be the case, it will only further solidify their hopes of a top four finish and if results go their way the Blues could leapfrog Leicester and move into third, which will only provide extra impetus to the hosts.

As far as the hosts are concerned, their season is done and manager Roy Hodgson has to try and keep his players motivated between now and the end of the month, something that was not on the show at the weekend.

They come into this tie off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Leicester and Chelsea will be primed for something similar. Which means at odds of 1.50, this looks like being a good piece of midweek accumulator fodder.
Summary: Back the Blues to win

While if you want to put them in a treble, the odds will be 5.7. Might be worth a punt on that also.
